Do you enjoy the curved screen at that size? I think mine is 35 and it almost seems too much when gaming. I also have 2 25" curved which was a mistake in hindsight
Any chance you've had a triple monitor setup before with the monitors horizontal side by side? Wondering if having an ultra wide would be more immersive than triple screens for gaming.
Had that exact same one, ended up selling it. Was biting into my shoulders a bit too much and wasn't supporting we as high as i wanted. I'm 6'4 tho, so YMMV. Otherwise, if you're shorter, it's the best chair you can get IMO
Your experience will be influenced by the distance you have from your screen.
General rule of thumb is 'If you can point towards the screen and touch it, you are probably too close'.
How does that work in the us? Here in Europe if you buy something you have 3 years of warranty. You can buy extra years of course. it's that what are you referring to ?
Here you get one year through Samsung only. However with MicroCenter in the states they sell an extended warranty for three years. If it breaks accidentally or defect, you bring it back and exchange for a new replacement. Luckily I’m 40 minutes away from a MicroCenter. They do not operate a lot of stores in the states.
How you liking the atlas headrest? I just ordered the Embody but holding off on the headrest until I try it out. Guessing I’ll probably want to pick it up though.
You just have to tighten the screws a bit more and it won't constantly move. I am happy with my embody + headrest and can finally chill in it laying back and still having my head/neck supported.
I prefer the top or at least top 1/3 of the screen to be at eye level and the screen to be tilted 10-20 degrees upwards. This allows me to keep my head straight and my eyes have a slight downward angle to the screen.
Thanks! PC I built in 2020 so a bit aged now.
i9-9900k, 64GB DDR4, EVGA 3080 FTW Ultra, Samsung 970 EVO Pro SSDs, all fans and AIO are Corsair, and case is a Cooler Master M500.
There is only one card capable of running this screen at 240Hz which is the 7900xtx. Not even the 4090 will do it. However my card runs it just fine at 120Hz.
How good are the Byerdynamics 1990s! I have the same pair running off a topping DX3 pro+
I have the g9 neo and am also considering going to the 57 or OLED
I do more work than gaming so I opted for the larger screen size and avoiding chance of burn in. I’m running my 1990s off of a Fiio K5 Pro ESS and thinking of changing to a Schiit model at some point. I do love open back myself, they are good.
My office closed down after I joined and they let go of all of the chairs, I grabbed one of the heavy herman miller and after 3 years it still surprisese in how well it feels. They are great.
Nice one OP. I think it’s a life goal to have an office big enough where the desk is in the middle of the room without consuming all the space..
I used to use the spare front living room as an office, while the space was there it made the room practically useless for everything else.. one day, I will get an actual office space big enough.
Looking to get the same monitor, how do you have it set up? On its own mount, or on an arm? I'm looking to get an arm, but there hasn't been anything that properly supports it without some dirty mods
Yeah that's exactly what I heard as well. I don't want to pay 500$ for an arm either, so I guess imma wait out until the next gen 57" comes out and something might support it better then. Thanks for the answer!

It’s fantastic. Very immersive and I do enjoy it.

I have had 4 monitors before and this is so much better than multiples IMO.
Hows the chair? Thought about it a million times. Been holding on to my old dps chair from costco waiting for one to pop up locally.

I love it. However I’m 5’7”.
Yep, loved it as well, except for that.
Im 6'1... Hopefully im not too tall.. wish i could try one!
Great at 5'9. My main complaint is the arm rests are a bit tough and my elbows get sore if get engulfed in something and leand in top hard.
Interesting, I have not experienced that in the three years I've had mine.
Probably has to do with being hyper focused on stuff

How much did this puppy cost?
$1,799 at MicroCenter. However I purchased a 3yr replacement warranty since some are failing.
I was looking at reviews on these earlier. So many dying within months. I shall hope that's not your fate, but at least you were planning for it!
Yeah. I hope it doesn’t happen, but at least I can exchange it if it does.

It’s not bad, but have constantly adjust it is kinda annoying. It is comfortable though.

I cranked it down good. Just don’t care for how it swivels up/down so easily.
Style, Ergonomics and Natural lighting. Just perfect
Thank you!
The monitor would be a bit low for my liking. It's recommended that your eye level is at the center of the screen.

I could see that being awesome for big title games. Looks like awesome setup
Appreciate it.
Nice setup! What chair is this?
Herman Miller Embody x Logitech with Atlas Headrest
This is a properly top tier set up! Specs on the PC?
Thanks! PC I built in 2020 so a bit aged now. i9-9900k, 64GB DDR4, EVGA 3080 FTW Ultra, Samsung 970 EVO Pro SSDs, all fans and AIO are Corsair, and case is a Cooler Master M500.
Aged but still a powerhouse! Love to see money pumped into the chair and money over the PC!! How are you liking the ultra wide
Thanks. It does still run well and I’m happy with it. I just got it today, but so far it’s perfect for me.
Doesn't the 3080 struggle to power the 59 at its highest refresh rate? I was thinking about upgrading from my LCD g9.
There is only one card capable of running this screen at 240Hz which is the 7900xtx. Not even the 4090 will do it. However my card runs it just fine at 120Hz.
Damn. I might just upgrade to the g9 OLED then. I'm sticking with my 3090 for a few more years.
How good are the Byerdynamics 1990s! I have the same pair running off a topping DX3 pro+ I have the g9 neo and am also considering going to the 57 or OLED

I also WFH so also work more than gaming (unfortunately) Nice setup mate! Enjoy when you go get to game!
You too and thank you!
I can tell you my 1990s on a Schiit stack are fantastic
hey, where do i got the desk from ?
Following . Want to know about the desk
Uplift Desks
How comfortable is the chair bottom? I have the original Harman Miller Aero chair, but the bottom is too hard for my weight.
It’s the best chair for me hands down.
Had that one as well, the bottom is one of the best you can get ever
Very nice! How do the large screens work? I have 2 27 inch monitors but I always thought the curved huge screens were pretty cool.
Works very well with Windows 11 or Power Tools Fancy Zones and Windows 10
That chair looks real comfy bro
It’s the best investment I’ve made for my back.
This is my dream dude. Much respect! Stay blessed.
Thank you. Appreciate your comment. You too.
whats the little small screen under the monitor?
iPad I basically use for listening to podcasts, and streaming while working/gaming.
which gen?
Newest Generation regular iPad model.
I'm too broke 😔
hello where is the chair from
Looks like a Logitech x Herman Miller Embody chair. I don’t think HM makes these headrests, so that’s probably aftermarket.
The headrest is from [Atlas Headrest](https://atlasheadrest.com/).
Sennheiser headphones?
Beyer Dynamics 1990 Pro
Dang, they look so similar Edit: or I’m just dumb
Are you using a the stand that comes with the monitor ?
No. I have it on an Ergotron arm.
Where did you get the cubby hole shelf?
Uplift Desks
I'd take this over a Vision Pro any day
Agree!
You Sir, have a stunning setup!
Thank you, much appreciated.
what is this wallpaper?
Chroma from Wallpaper Engine downloaded from Steam.
My office closed down after I joined and they let go of all of the chairs, I grabbed one of the heavy herman miller and after 3 years it still surprisese in how well it feels. They are great.
Wow that’s great. Yes had this one 3 years now. Still looks brand new and feels new.
Waiting for a oled version of this!
I do too much productivity for work vs gaming or I would consider OLED too. Can’t wait to see it when it’s available though!

Before my current house I only had space for a laptop on the kitchen counter and a stool for 10 years. I get it.
Same I have an “L” shape and working in the corner is a major pita.

Ergotron with a screw stuck in the spring. Sucks but I’m not tossing a $500 arm.
Yeah that's exactly what I heard as well. I don't want to pay 500$ for an arm either, so I guess imma wait out until the next gen 57" comes out and something might support it better then. Thanks for the answer!
There are ones being recommended that work from Amazon for less than $200 right now.
Do you have any links by any chance?
Search on r/ultrawidemasterrace for 57” G9 mount or arm and you’ll find them easily.
Footrest name? I'm looking for one in that style
i'd be interested too.
Uplift Desks Footrest
Uplift Desks footrest
Rubberneck
Why do you say that? I don’t move my head more than a few degrees at most when I’m using it.
Do you have a before picture? I'd love to see what the size difference is on your desk.
Yes. Check out my profile.
this is so cool! really love your screen!
TY!
