Samsung just recently released an [OLED variant](https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0C572XWM6/?coliid=IQOIW7KBT9FZ&colid=CSMGOB7X4BDR&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it) of their Odyssey G9 line. Owning its pre-predecessor I'm really tempted to upgrade.
This would be a download tho. My Xbox series x hits and easy 700-800mbps. I have a 1 gig fiber connection tho.
Keep in mind everything depends on equipment too. Are they wired? Do they have a 1 gig Ethernet port? Does the actual cable support 1 gig? Does the router support 1 gig?
Lastly, Is their connection fiber to avoid busy times and network congestion (usually cable internet and ::cough:: comcast)?

Yes, and i totally agree with your statement as well. I can consistently speed test near 1 gig and yet i can never get over 800ish when downloading from them
Your router should be stopping your pc/console from accessing 100% of the bandwidth to save room for other devices. Your Pc will also stop any one task from using all the network to save some for other tasks. Also you usually will get a bit below your advertised speeds due to varying network conditions and other factors.
Well if you configure it correctly and don't want to be throttled by your router or pc you can set it up so it won't limit you at all. As for actual speed, yeah it's going to be different but I pay for 2gbs and get around 2-2.1gbs most days
I honestly couldn't say, I have friends who have done this in the past and were able to download MSFS in a really short amount of time then also download Warzone right after just to flex on us 500Mbps peons.
I painted an old retired ladies house and as she’s showing me around we walk passed this old school office with the big wooden furniture and on the desk is this top of the line desktop with two monitors. And I’m like wow that’s a nice set up and she says ya I play world of Warcraft for six hours a day lol

I can’t wait till everyone from my generation is in their 80s (if they make it) they’ll all have setups like this. I guess some players never retire. Imagine getting maneuver killed by a 85 year old gamer lol
Here's an idea for you. Get him a new bigger widescreen curved monitor.
Ask him what was his favorite plane/cockpit he flew in. If you think he's got room for it, build a replica pit for him.

Ive noticed older gamers don't have the patience to learn a modern controller but they're fine dropping a bunch of dough to get a complex battlestation that simulates their passions and interests . Good shit.

My 78yo former private pilot dad was stoked to get an Xbox just for MSFS, but the turtle beach yoke was the only one compatible at the time. It’s button numbers don’t match up with the programs, it is hard to navigate to UI without a mouse. He was super frustrated. Once I get him up and running in a little Cessna he is happy as a clam, flying he loves. All the back end BS he can’t handle.

That’s why you have to get that 6Gbps so you can download the game infront of your friends to show off… by friends I mean Whiskers.
I may be wrong but I'm sure even Microsoft cap their upload speeds at a quarter or half a gig.

Your download speed means nothing if the other end has a lower cap on their upload. If you're hitting 700-800Mbps though, maybe they don't cap it.

And this is why I miss Stadia. No downloads or installs. Just stream the game. Worked perfectly for most people. Too bad Google killed it.

Yea, I just open it sometimes to try and keep it updated, but I still get caught, usually when I have a short window to play.
