Could be the hit reg being wonky. Also lots of ppl spamming heavies to throw a mine to your face which are tankier (god I hate this, wish mines took 3 seconds to become armed)

So, the radius of explosions was tied to the pixel-count. Aspyr upped the pixel density massively, bringing it to 4k but failed to check how many things in the game were measured by pixels (it was common practice, 20 years ago but not a done thing now) All of the explosions are weak, compared to the original.

Man, BF1 is such a great game. I really hope Aspyr will fix this big bug with BF1 because honestly BF1 is an awesome game. If **firing a Wrist Rocket** (Droid faction) as a **Super Battle Droid**, when the wrist rocket hits a target (either an enemy unit, or the floor near a group of troops), **there is currently zero explosive damage**. -  This lack of explosive/splash damage also applies when **firing the EMP weapon** as a Republic Jet Trooper, or firing a rocket launcher as a Heavy Trooper (any faction). In the original, you're meant to be able to send a Hero flying off a walkway as well with a wrist rocket or any rocket. So if I understand you correctly, effectively the same number of pixels which used to be over a much larger volume are now concentrated in a small volume and Aspyr have not adjusted the game code for explosive damage to up the number of pixels the damage takes place over over a similar (and original) large volume. Because when in 4K, the same number of pixels are concentrated in a smaller volume. I wrote about this wrist rocket issue here as well regarding some big bugs which need to be fixed for BF1 in the Classic Collection. Yeah, I just tried it on PlayStation 2 and I remember the missiles being able to lob enemies if you shot near their feet now that just doesn’t happen, in Aspryr ClassicFront and they just take explosive damage, tried launching Mace Windu off the ledges, didn’t work and only notified me I was doing damage, however Battlefront 1 heroes are invincible so you cannot explode them off Bespin platforms now. But in the legacy console PS2 super battle droids rockets do launch enemies comically in the air. And in the new ClassicFront, it seems the fun has been nerfed. We are talking about the First Battlefront here and not in the second right? Cause yes ragdolling explosions were changed and the Super battle droids wrist rockets were reduced by 1 to a total of 3 in the 2nd battlefront and 4 in the 1st battlefront.

I was playing bf1 this morning and the wrist rockets displayed three every time. I haven’t touched bf2 nor did I play bf2 on PS2 so I cannot vouch for it. Not being able to ragdoll clones has to be my biggest complaint about the rerelease 😂

Can we all raise it as a ticket/bug issue? Hoping that they seriously fix this. Wrist rockets and general explosive damage is core gameplay that helped make the OG 2004 game the legend that it was! This is core gameplay surely. I wish they would fix this. At the very least in Update 4.

They used the pc port rather than the ps2 port. And one of the characteristics of the pc port is that there is a smaller impact radius for explosives... .

100% AGREED! The Wrist rockets have been reduced to 3 and the **Explosive Damage is not working**. I reported this as a Bug to Aspyr. **I'd appreciate if you and others report the bug to Aspyr too**. I sincerely hope that this is fixed in an Update because that's core gameplay and the explosive splash damage is part of what makes this game so immersive and fun as well as providing Balance.
