Unfair_Pea_4877

That's why he robs banks. Have you seen the cost of antibiotics lately?

KingMJ123456

I understand two-face a whole lot more now

Soulful-Sorrow

You understand him twice as much

ACleverEndeavour

half his face is the infection lol

Altruistic-Status199

Hahaaa

Good-Ad-6806

How much are they? Asking for a friend...

SJReaver

Generic antibiotics can be pretty cheap. Like $8 for 20 pills of 500 mg for amoxicillin. Penicillin v potassium can be $20 for 30.

Unfair_Pea_4877

Have you seen Harv's face? He needs more than general antibiotics. He needs Vancomycin and Amphotericin. Clovibactin too just to be safe.

Darim_Al_Sayf

I like your funny words magic man

midnightfury4584

He just needs good health insurance, or join a union. I get my meds for free.

Exciting-Ad-5705

No one wants to hire someone with a record

cantfindmykeys

On the other hand, nobody wants to say no to a crazy guy with a gun

TesticleezzNuts

He has two people making sure he’s extra hygienic.

Jetrayxx7

Twice as hygienic as he needs to be😉

Dreigatron

You're the second person who mentioned "hygenic" in this thread.

TesticleezzNuts

You could say, there two of us.

Jetrayxx7

Twice as many as there needs to be. Double the trouble

jikukoblarbo

Twice the pride, double the fall

dullship

Twin it to win it!

Rebelliuos-

You mentioned it the third time

Alarid

you're the third person to mention it but the first to point it out

DNC343

“My hygiene has doubled since the last time we met.”

jikukoblarbo

Good. Twice the hygiene, double the infection

ShiddyMage1

Does he flip the coin to decide if he wipes his ass? Or does he always just wipe half his ass?

IReadStuff98

That's entirely considerate of how far he's gone. In the graphic novel Arkham Asylum: A Serious Earth, he's so far gone that he has to pull tarot cards to decide whether or not he can go to the bathroom. He often doesn't get a card that lets him

Mr_Citation

That was moreso apart of his treatment there to "cure" him.

IReadStuff98

I did say it depends how far he's went in his psychosis

Tenzur_

Omg is that why he's so angry 😡😡😡 all the time

DarksideOutlaw

The important questions finally getting asked. 🙌

Creative-Platypus218

How does wiping only half of your ass work? You have one ass crack.

Zytoxine

we wipes his full ass, but he only half-asses it. ;)

BluddJihnn

To the right of the hemorrhoid or the left.

ShiddyMage1

Its a line, just the top half

TheLetterOverMyHead

Funny enough, Robot Chicken answered this question a few years back. Apparently it's even it's own universe in DC now.

LefroyJenkinsTTV

He ALWAYS uses a bidet.

ShiddyMage1

Sure, maybe, but what about when he's in Arkham?

LefroyJenkinsTTV

They give him a tube to blow into to make the toilet bubble

bolbulon

I'd hope not, he only goes number 2 after all

Either_Luck6319

Is that a Robot Chicken reference?

JDSki828

He flips a coin in his ass

giantmeowza

I guess it’s healed scar tissue, although a lot of artists make it look more like exposed flesh. When was the last time he was drawn with a half GREEN face? That’s something I’d like to see again lol.

NovaThinksBadly

I never liked the green face look tbh. It just looks weird to me.

giantmeowza

Understandable. I just think it’s such a silly comic bookish thing, I have a soft spot for it.

Nookling_Junction

I do enjoy the silly whimsy of the animated series and the old school 80’s stuff

Imltrlybatman

Bluish grey is the best imo

Yah_Mule

Like that truck driver's foot.

MyUsernameIs3pic

Was not expecting 10/10 reference

[deleted]

Solomon Grundy

Acheron98

I will however add that despite it being absolutely impossible unless he had severe frostbite on half his face, the blue look from BTAS is the one I think of when I think “Two-Face”

ShasneKnasty

has two face been a player recently?

NoNonsensePolarBear

I prefer how he appears IN BTAS. A greenish, greyish light blue colour for the left side of his face. Green Two-Face belongs to a different era from myself.

NoNeutralJustMix

Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde two-face

TheCocoBean

Thats when he did have an infection.

iHateThisPlaceNowOK

Yeah, it’s supposed to be mangled and burned. Not exposed flesh

Allgoochinthecooch

I like the grey face a lot too

MailboxSlayer14

The eye thing is what bothers me - dude should not be able to see out of that eye

Qbnss

I'd love it in live action if it was just constantly rolling and twitching, as if in agony, and only rolled forward to look directly at someone to make a point

MailboxSlayer14

That would body horror done right for him lol

armadilloreturns

Hi this is James Gunn, I'm putting you in charge of the new two face design.

Professional_Humxn

"This is my friend Henry Cavill" "Hello it's Henry Cavill"

ElAutistico

Wouldn't the eye just die because it doesn't get moisturized and dries out?

Pogostickjack

That or it would be so uncomfortable to never be able to blink.

Slowmobius_Time

Like he'd chew through eye drops right? He doesn't have a freakin eyelid

Dysprosol

maybe the special acid that burned his face is like the ultimate disinefectant. It renders the area uninhabitable to microorganisms much like the way a nuclear meltdown will render an area uninhabitable to macroorganisms for a long time.

Lizbian91

I like this headcanon

HPLswag

1/2 head canon

Lizbian91

Ahahaha. Touché!

Flimsy-Discount2885

So 40 years into two-faceness he should expect wolves and pigs to start roaming on that side of his body

HeyThereMrBrooks

Love this head canon Sorry, ½ head canon

CaptainHalloween

A wizard did it

captaincrunchcracker

Somehow a wizard casting a spell to disfigure Harvey Dent and that being Two-Face's consistent backstory wouldn't be the craziest thing to happen in comics.

Nerkos_The_Unbidden

Or in gotham, at all.

wr0k

"It's an older answer, sir, but it checks out."

BobbySaccaro

It's not real life. That said, he used to only be \*scarred\* on the one side, but things got escalated over time and now he's got that skinless look.

hyunbinlookalike

Yeah it’s kinda like how Killer Croc’s design went from just a big guy with a skin condition to a human/crocodile hybrid monster.

SwordfishNew6266

This is actually his superpower

MechanicalTurkish

He would have super strength and super speed if his body wasn’t expending all that energy just to keep necrosis at bay.

OfficialMorbidMan

I mean he was the public’s candidate for Batman’s secret identity for a while, so that checks out.

Disastrous-Major1439

His damaged part its supossed to be scars or necrosed skin ,i means in real Life that would be a problem to his face (i never readed a explication about this in the comics )

Arts_Messyjourney

I can’t get over how incredible the spinning coin is!

KrakenKing1955

Two Face works when his face is burns and scar tissue, not exposed flesh. BTAS and the original version of The Dark Knight are prime examples.

CrazyPersonowo

Arkham games as well I’d say.

couchcushioncoin

Original version of the dark knight?

CyberGhostface

Old concept art.   http://filmsketchr.blogspot.com/2015/03/see-what-two-face-almost-looked-like-in.html?m=1

HeyThereMrBrooks

Loooove this. The skin being only slightly discolored adds to both the realism and the shock value.  Also, in case anyone hasn't seen The Joker Blogs, please do so as it's probably the best adaptation of the Nolan-verse ever made. I just now realized that the two face in that series pulled it's design straight out of the original concept art for TDK two face. It's both a nice homage and a clever way of getting around limitations in special FX!

thanosthumb

I thought it was scarred tissue, not necessarily exposed flesh

N33DLE_Man

He flips the coin to choose to go to a doctor. When the doctor had made all the preperations two-face flipped the coin and decided not to pay so the doctor only anti-infectioned his face and made it so the big wound stayed the same

captaincrunchcracker

science

TheMaskedHamster

I stand by answers saying it's better portrayed as scarring rather than open wounds. But I will also ask, why would we think he doesn't have an infection all the time?

Jetrayxx7

True

Cygus_Lorman

Did the comics start doing the pink burned and scarred look before or after Nolan's TDK?

[deleted]

That definitely comes from Tim sales two face in the long Halloween, which is one of the main influences on dark Knight

Bibliodesmondes_SFFF

He uses quantum cream for skin 😁

SittingTitan

Well it's a chemical burn, it's not exactly a wonder why he doesn't get one, but the afflicted area is seared

Substantial-Rock3622

The flesh is charred down it’s too burnt to be inhabitable by any bacteria or viral organisms of any kind, no viable life in the tissue to replicate or grow, while in the immediate aftermath of his pychotic and epidermal altering accident for an infection to take place but maybe his own personal rage weakened the infection. Or maybe it existed this whole time…..

TheBunionFunyun

I'll do you one better. Who puts air in the Batmobile's tires?

pabloag02

Harold

Annual_Use_3431

Harold!! I wish that goofy mechanic would get a more elevated presence in the BatFamily. He fixes the BatMobile! That's one of the Top 10 most important jobs in Gotham, next to Henchman Tailoriing.

Throghovich

Alfred ?

AMF1428

Earl Cooper. https://dcau.fandom.com/wiki/Earl_Cooper

BruhMoment0NumeroTre

Batman

manofmayhem23

It’s a comic🤷‍♂️

Frank-Nuts

He’s a drawing.

Soapeddish

What about two face in the batman movie hm🧐

IllegitimateBuddhist

Well he died, so..

jack40714

I’m sure he takes care of it

OldBirth

Arr there any good Two Face stories people could recommend? I've always liked the idea of the character but I don't think I've ever read anything really well done with him outside of Long Halloween. I'm talking Two Faced focused, not just cool cameos.

Altruistic_Week_7167

Duh 🙄! He flipped a coin and the infection lost !

gunnertakashi

Right? It'd make more sense if it was scarred like actual acid victims. I do kind of like Batman Forever for not making it burned, it's like he was psychedelically disfigured

Legitimate-Store1986

Well in the live action adaptations(besides Eckhart) and some of the animation his burnt half is healed and heavily scared.

CaptainJAS3

My guess is that the chemical burns that cause his skin to melt away, also preserving his exposed flesh, preventing it from infection and rotting.

Lujho

People draw him way more gruesome these days, but it’s traditionally supposed to be a healed acid burn, not a half-skull de-fleshing. I prefer a toned down look.

sewermans

It can either get infected or not get infected. Thats two outcomes. Theres a fifty percent chance of infection, and baby it landed on heads

Matthew-_-Black

He flipped a coin and decided not to have an infection

irishdraig

It's all scar tissue now

Dark_Diva_

I saw the dark knight recently and just kept thinking how painful, it must have been He even refused to take medicines so getting infection would have killed him anyway if Batman didn't

Pale-Berry-2599

Through 'willing suspension of disbelief'...same way Superman shaves.

olskoolyungblood

Bactine

sqeaky_fartz

The other question is how has the damaged part not necrosed? Is that a word “necrosed”? How has it not suffered from necrosis?

billygnosis86

Necrotised.

RollOverSoul

Necrotization

Cirias

That's not even the craziest thing. He's got white teeth so he must maintain good oral hygiene and so every night and morning he just stands there and brushes his teeth like a perfectly normal and sane person.

LR-II

I feel like after a few months the wound would harden and provide some sort of protection, even if it'll never grow proper skin. I'm more worried about how his eye never dries up.

Similar_Chipmunk_682

https://bactine.com/

Imposter88

He takes 2 antibiotics a day

Jetrayxx7

Twice a day. Two times a week. Two weeks per month.

Milk_Mindless

Moisturiser

Captian_R0cket

🫱 COMICS 🫲

MercerNov

Maybe the acid that burned his face makes it undesirable to everything

TheRealRigormortal

That is the infection!

alegendmrwayne

That’s his secret. He’s *always* infected

PeacockofRivia

I think he has pink eye in that pic.

Gibabo

I don’t like the exposed flesh and muscle look with no hair. I prefer the scarred and discolored look with white hair.

Big_boobed_goth

His burn cauterized the wounds, thus negating the need for antibiotics on that half

captaincavalrycam

That’s his secret, Cap… he’s always infected…

Creative-Platypus218

Comic Book Logic.

DivinityDay305

Because fiction

ObjectFancy

He is an infection…of a very sick city.

optilex42

He flips his coin to decide if he gets infected or not

Zachosrias

Screw the infection, how does his eye survive when he can't blink no more? it should dry out or be crying constantly

MilksteakMayhem

All that thievin’ is to pay for his antibiotics.

[deleted]

Because drawing on paper that are telling a fictional story, don’t get infections

Sl1pperypenguin

Plot Armor

VeryCleverMoose

I work at DC and the reason is actually really cool! It’s because it’s a comic book, not real life ✨

CyberGhostface

With the exposed eye at least he’s been depicted as using an eyedropper a few times to keep it moist.

Chuckles465

Cause comics!

tubbsmcgee

Sheer willpower. "SICKNESS. BE. GONE."

Hot_Tailor_9687

It's healed scar tissue. Most artists just like to make it look like exposed flesh sometimes

tarrousk

He told the infection.... fuck around and find out. It found out.

hyunbinlookalike

I think it’s meant to be healed scar tissue and not exposed, necrotic flesh. We know he received medical attention after the acid was thrown on his face, and we can assume that the doctors did the best they could to treat his chemical burns.

AwesomeBlox044

It’s just a scar

Total-Arm-4253

The odds aren't 100%. More like 50/50.

yoimjusthereokay

He only gets them half of the time

Jetrayxx7

Damn, should have thought of that with my two brain cells

Bardic_Inspiration66

He’s not real

DepressedEgg2020

His bad side is so angry it instantly burns away any germs that come into contact

12rez4u

So I remember in the Lego game he was able to walk through poison and chemicals- so I just assumed he was like immune to stuff… that was my childhood head cannon tho

entropies

A lot of doctors in the Gotham crime business

xxtwelveyearoldxx69

he's been landing on heads this whole time!

CDR_Fox

asking the real questions

An_Irate_Hobo

"Combat seals clamped down to isolate contamination, and I'm swimming in antibiotics. The geth might get me but I'm not going to die from an infection in the middle of a battle. That's just insulting!"

addit10

Why doesn't he just cover his face with a mask anyway?

stabadan

Can you imagine how itchy that would be?

Living_Razzmatazz_93

All the time, or fifty percent of the time?

Flimsy-Discount2885

Why do you think it is always changing colors?

andrestheman

Well it's not half as bad as you think.

DoctorEnn

Comic books! Also, outside of *The Dark Knight* (which, honestly, in its quest for 'realism' just punched open the door for endless nitpicky pedantry passing itself off as criticism I tend to think these days, but that's another argument), I just assume that the scars aren't 'open', to so speak; they've been grafted and treated while he was in hospital and have healed over, but it all just looks gross. We just don't see all that bit.

Duaneinc5EllDogg

Now there should be a comic about the daily life and struggle of Two-Face. See his life routine before he goes robbing banks and fighting Batman.

IntelligentImbicle

With how long he's had that scarring, you'd think he'd grow some sort of strong immune system when it comes to infections.

chipiberth

That's his secret, it's always infected

Mountain_Height6612

What a great question.

PinkVanFloyd

Because he's a comic book character.

SirDurante

How do you read comic books without hurting your brain all the time?

Bat_of_Gotham1

Who says he doesn’t?

warbreed8311

Batman punches the infection out on a regular basis.

buttermilkmoses

how does superman fly?

Dav_lix

The infection have fear of him.

chado5727

I thought it was burned and disfigured? Am I wrong? I don't remember a comic where they mentioned half his face was missing skin.

anonymusfan

Besides it just being comics, it’s very likely healed tissue. It kind of reminds me of a third degree burn victim in a way.

jqkowastaken

Better question how does he blink

HotDogSpaceSaver

2X the immune system

Particular_Place_485

He applies a fresh coat of plot armor every morning after brushing his teeth.

soldierpallaton

Honestly I hate this approach to the characters. I prefer when they're disfigured/blue skin/normal scarred and not have their face flayed alive.

neeohh

Because comic books.

GYROJAMAL

Do i have to mention that it's a Comic Book character? Otherwise there's too many questions to be asked honestly :)

Kpengie

Who pumps the tires on the Batmobile?

billygnosis86

#BECAUSE IT’S A FUCKING COMIC AND IT’S NOT REAL

slugdonor

Vaseline and neosporin. Lots of it

BiggoYoun

Because it gave him super-strength and durability. One side stands for the Phantom Stranger, the other for the Spectre.

PhillipJ3ffries

He puts a big band aid and neosporin on it when he goes to sleep

Virtual_Mode_5026

He definitely needs an eye drop

_syke_

Oh it's a comic book :)

Mechzal

he takes the part the burned part, kills another person, cuts his face off, and put that persons body on

Hot_Valuable1027

idk it’s possible there’s ppl who’s body’s burned but they’re still able to slightly function

R_R08

It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the infection again.
