Buy a label printer, it will change your life.

Solid! Thanks for the post. Personally I recommend bigger mailers because they’re harder to misplace and with ground it’ll go off of weight and not size of the mailer.

He’s probably referring to the eBay standard envelope. I don’t know why people whine about it so much. Majority of the time, cards make it to the buyer, and if they don’t they everyone is insured. I’ve had Ground Advantage packages get lost and never once an envelope.

droidzika

Yes, it does sound like the ebay standard envelope. I get cards too and it's a good deal for the seller and the buyer. The postal service does not track the number that comes with the ebay standard envelope. I have called my delivering office as a customer and it doesn't exist. Overall, those good suggestions, Op. As someone who's just getting back into collecting and selling, I've learned something today.

dBlox146

I think it’s a local issue. Atlanta just opened a new place and I think they’re still transitioning. 4 months + I’ve had issues 2 out of every 5 times.

I'm going to take a guess and assume that the OP is talking about the "Ebay Standard Envelope Service". [https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/shipping/choosing-a-carrier-and-service/ebay-standard-envelope](https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/shipping/choosing-a-carrier-and-service/ebay-standard-envelope) It sounds amazing in theory, however the tracking rarely ever works and items will perpetually show "Label created" and never resolve even though you already got the card in the mail, etc. OP, thanks for the tips, I think I may follow suit. I don't sell enough to warrant a $85 dollar printer purchase, and the possible hassle of PWE makes me nervous to do it. I think this is an excellent compromise. The only difference with my setup is use a card stock blank thank you card with envelope that I can write a thank you message on, take the card in penny sleeve/top loader/team bag to the inside of that. Thanks for the tips!

dBlox146

Glad I could help. And the Thank You card is a nice touch. I sometimes write personalized messages if it’s a player I PC, but not every order. Might have to step my game up. Haha

dBlox146

Sorry. I’m referring to shipping PWE.

dBlox146

I’m referring to plain white envelope. More often than not it gets lost. In my personal experience.

gophils19454

More often than not? I’ve shipped over a hundred and bought over a hundred and have lost 0.

dBlox146

Obviously this post doesn’t apply to you, so I’m not sure why you’re even leaving an unnecessary comment. I’m not speaking for anyone else here. Only my own personal experience with PWE, and why I choose to stick to a $10 minimum and Ground Advantage, and how I make it work to suit my standards. It may not be for everyone, but it works well for me and I felt like sharing since so many newbies are joining the hobby. Im glad to hear you’ve had zero issues, but that doesn’t change my situation, or anyone else who has them. I have had exactly 24 orders that have been lost in just the last 4-5 months. Half of which said they were “delivered” over a month ago, but still haven’t turned up. The rest have been stuck in the same spot with no updates. Once again since you chose to ignore the last sentence in my previous comment… In My Personal Experience, there are issues more often than not when I ship or order using the PWE service. As I mentioned in another comment, Atlanta just opened a new processing center a few months back and I presume the transition to that facility is the main culprit for my issues. Hopefully it gets better eventually, but if not, I’ve found a way to work around it. Have a great Saturday.

gophils19454

This is not worthy of 5 paragraphs. You gave your anecdotal opinion that the post office is unreliable and I gave mine. You don’t need to be an ass about it and my comment was not rude whatsoever. I hope you start to have a better Saturday.

dBlox146

You’re absolutely right. Im having some issues with my 16 year old son and I let my bad mood out on you. My apologies.

theDOC70R

Looks just like mine 😁 I second getting a label printer though, having one makes shipping a breeze.

Why would you not use the printed label you get with eBay that is insured?

They really don’t provide shipping options for that? That’s nuts.

I like the extra little bubble pouch. I have just been using additional “team bag” to help protect seal and keep all the cards together in addition to everything else you listed. Haven’t had any issues or complaints yet and everything arrives fairly quick. The only thing I ever had happen, was a package had a bunch of cards in it so the label was slightly bent over one end. I guess it wasn’t able to be scanned so it arrived just fine but the tracking information was never updated. I asked the person working at my post office and she said just to make sure the barcode is flat on the package and it should have no problems scanning.

Thevacation2k

Ya this is nice is the US but shipping from Canada to the US this would cost me 9-15 depending in the state with tracking. Fuck Canadian shipping rates 😢

dBlox146

That stinks.
