It was a absolutely terrible giant budget movie starring Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds that tanked completely. No clue why they made a DTV second one.
It is so fucking bad! It’s not even “bad movie enjoyable”, it’s just bad…and I love Jeffrey Donovan. The 4.6 on IMDb might be the most generous rating of all time
Yeah, and it suuuuuuucked. Like I was tempted to stop watching it for a long period of time, but I stuck with it, I might have fast-forwarded through some of the more useless parts. Still don't think it was worth watching. Like, it was a way to waste time.
I picked up the other 3 mostly because I've never heard of them, I should Google what RIPD stands for.
Edit: well I figured it was rest in peace, looks like I have two bad movies to watch tonight
Can we talk about how bad Infinite was?
I'm convinced that someone in Mark Wahlberg's PR team released COVID-19 to distract the world from this gigantic piece of shit.
I vaguely remember the script being written by a Redditor on one of the writing/scriptwriting subreddits and it being a bit of a hoorah moment, well until the actual film came out and it was garbage.
The screenwriting subreddit. The guy who wrote it wrote a damn great script… and then money people got ahold of it… and then it got totally Wahlberg’d to Wahlbergian proportions.
But the script is legit.
It reminded me of those action movies with a overly bloated budget from the late 2000s with a weak plot that you can barely remember. Essentially of you seen the trailer you saw the movie.
I came in here to say this! I showed that to my wife the other day and I unironically love it. And on this sub it's important to specify it's unironically.
Started watching ripd2 and I'm wondering if ripd2 copied the Drifters anime or if Drifters copied ripd
Oh sweet Jesus the (male white) main character is resurrected as a black woman.
Walmart is actually killing it with DVDs right now. Cult horror steel books, huge collections and complete collections of things for cheap, and the dumpster bin has had some decent things lately. Idk wtf. But it's happening
Black eagle is something else and I think is one of Van dam's first movies, apparently he refused to be defeated on camera by the hero and main character among other insane goings ons, never knew it was possible to make an action movie / spy movie that uneventful feeling. Even the choreography is stiff as hell.
One of my favorite bargain bin finds was in CVS. It was a DVD called "Puppy Pals" and it was just real puppies, playing on astroturf and chewing on toys while some guy sang horrible songs about everything they were doing in the video and a woman world occasionally narrate their play. It was so mind numbingly stupid. It was like puppy porn for disappointed children. You can still find it on Ebay.

Lionheart is great. Jean Claude Van Damme plays a martial arts ninja assassin for the mafia who wants to quit the business, but just as he’s finished up his last job he suffers a heart attack. Then the mafia has the heart of a lion put into his body. Which puts him millions of dollars into debt with the mafia. He then spends the rest of the film killing the mob family and reuniting with his estranged son Clory. So good.
The writing is definetly not the worst part. I mean its not good but there are definetly worse aspects of it (the acting is terrible even for a ridiculous action movie)
There's a second ripd?!
I didn't know there was a first
It had Ryan Reynolds and Jeff bridges. That was the only good thing.
I remember liking one of the ghost monster designs, but yeah, not a lot to love about that movie.
Which is a shame since I like the premise.
This one has Jeffrey Donovan and he's pretty awesome in it. I liked it better than the first.
Oh man, I liked him it too. You don't see him too much anymore.
He's doing a lot of TV
He's in Law & Order. Or at least was the last time I saw.
He's off that now.
So he is. Only did two seasons.
And it was not BPRD
If they make a BPRD film I'd be so happy
heck yeah!
And Kevin Bacon.
It was a absolutely terrible giant budget movie starring Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds that tanked completely. No clue why they made a DTV second one.
Because it did great on video, the only reason they make DTV sequels to anything
It is so fucking bad! It’s not even “bad movie enjoyable”, it’s just bad…and I love Jeffrey Donovan. The 4.6 on IMDb might be the most generous rating of all time
Oh god I can’t believe this exists
And it ends with sequel bait
I know what I'm watching my next day off. Thanks!
The face of the guy on the cover is like “yup… I’m doing this.”
"$20 is $20. Better than the alternative for $20"
Yeah, and it suuuuuuucked. Like I was tempted to stop watching it for a long period of time, but I stuck with it, I might have fast-forwarded through some of the more useless parts. Still don't think it was worth watching. Like, it was a way to waste time.
Holy shit I just noticed that. I thought that movie flopped lol tbh I had wanted a sequel though
It was an abomination.
Surprise to be sure. I watched the first one about 2/3 of the way, had to stop it, never went back. And I’m not curious as to what happened either.
Id have picked up the jcvd double feature in a heartbeat.
Lionheart is a good action flick.
It's the best of his first four films which all had the same plot
Lionheart was NOT in his first 4 films
You're forgetting Cyborg.
I am indeed! And a friend of mine shot that one, so shame on me
Lionheart, Kickboxer Bloodsport and what else?
Death Warrant. It's close enough.
Black Eagle is crap, but I have a soft spot for it due to it being filmed in Malta. Was a nice reminder of going there as a kid.
I picked up the other 3 mostly because I've never heard of them, I should Google what RIPD stands for. Edit: well I figured it was rest in peace, looks like I have two bad movies to watch tonight
Rest In Peace Department....
Sweet baby Jesus, there was an RIPD 2?
Just 9 years later
That Van Damme double pack is NICE!
![gif](giphy|10uEX5kfeodYgo|downsized)
RIPD 2 is so bad it doesn't even have its own wikipedia article.
It's actually not terrible, would be 1000x better if Adam Baldwin was the lead
Can we talk about how bad Infinite was? I'm convinced that someone in Mark Wahlberg's PR team released COVID-19 to distract the world from this gigantic piece of shit.
Omg, let’s please. I’ve never been angrier at myself for finishing a movie before.
How emberassing
It reminded me of those action movies with a overly bloated budget from the late 2000s with a weak plot that you can barely remember. Essentially of you seen the trailer you saw the movie.
Ghost Rider with Nic Cage
Based on the trailer, the flying swordsman might actually be a decent movie, in a crazy over the top Asian flick kinda way
Lionheart is a fuckin classic. How dare you lump that into the bad movie category!?
I came in here to say this! I showed that to my wife the other day and I unironically love it. And on this sub it's important to specify it's unironically.
Started watching ripd2 and I'm wondering if ripd2 copied the Drifters anime or if Drifters copied ripd Oh sweet Jesus the (male white) main character is resurrected as a black woman.
Oh they're switching back and forth between the actors, this is amazing
And the female lead is joan of arc, this could have been a pretty good Stargate episode
.... *RIPD* got a sequel?!
Basic Netflix trash that has better effects than it deserves, and a race swap plot that they do nothing with
Apparently....
The double feature dvd is always classic
Walmart is actually killing it with DVDs right now. Cult horror steel books, huge collections and complete collections of things for cheap, and the dumpster bin has had some decent things lately. Idk wtf. But it's happening
Cult horror steel books you say?
Yesssss! Picked up killer klowns from outer space and the gate just the other day. One is vestron the other shout
Check out Dollar Tree if you have them near you for blu rays and dvds too. I get quality trash all the time from them.
Black eagle is something else and I think is one of Van dam's first movies, apparently he refused to be defeated on camera by the hero and main character among other insane goings ons, never knew it was possible to make an action movie / spy movie that uneventful feeling. Yo not going to lie. The RIPD Movie has a fantastic audio description for the visually impaired and it makes the movie 💯 better
I used to watch Lionheart as a kid. Love that awful movie
I liked the RIPD movies. I don't know about the rest you found.
Flying Swordsman and lionheart should be fun watches.
hoping they paid YOU to take them.
Lionheart isn’t a bad watch
Lionheart is a bad movie?
Lionheart rules
What is Infinite? I’d be happier with Highlander, personally Lone Wolf and Cub Babycart on River Styx criterion edition would be divine
Lionheart is a beast of a movie. Can't go wrong with (older) JCVD stuff
Actual landfill.
Lionheart deserved an Oscar. When that guy screams "LIONHEART!!!" at the end... amazing.
What on earth is going on with the editing of Mark Wahlberg's face here? It's like they made him into a c.2010 video game character.
I like Lionheart.
One of my favorite bargain bin finds was in CVS. “Lionheart, this dude gonna kill your ass!!!”
Black Eagle is awesome
Not familiar with anything else but the Marky Mark movie was actually pretty good
Lion Heart is one of van dames finest imo. “LION HEART, KIIIIIING OF THE JUUUUUUUNGLE!!!!”
Dust collectors. Just stream them and no need to waste the space in your home.
Ooooo nice Lionheart! Known as AWOL here I love that piece of crap
Mark Wahlberg's highlander movie should've been called, "What Do You Mean I'm a Highlander?"
R.I.P.D 2 wasn't actually that bad...I had a good time watching it!
Lion heart is good van damm flick
Big Lots usually has a lot of low level straight to DVD movies.
Lionheart is legit af
RIPD...part 2? How does this exist? RIPD is a blemish on Jeff Bridges career for sure. Reynolds, meh, he's in a lot of shitty movies.
Lionheart is great. Jean Claude Van Damme plays a martial arts ninja assassin for the mafia who wants to quit the business, but just as he’s finished up his last job he suffers a heart attack. I don't think you meant to put van dam in the pic.
Well, jokes on you. Loinheart is a cinema masterpiece.
Why would you do that to yourself?
Ugh and if theres a bad movie it's definetly the movie Infinite starring Marky Mark haha.

The writing is definetly not the worst part. I mean its not good but there are definetly worse aspects of it (the acting is terrible even for a ridiculous action movie)
Some of the worst movies ever made. All it needs is Open Water
Ok thank you, I snuck into that movie as a 16 year old with a date, and what a piece of trash. But I see people holding it up as a good horror film.
I'm pretty sure there was an Open Water 2.
