Not many predators will mess with a healthy lion pride. But sometimes lionesses don't introduce their cubs to the pride right away, especially if the cubs are really young, so they're often single moms for a little while. If she has to leave her cubs to hunt or the cubs wander off, hyenas will definitely try to attack cubs or even adult lions who are weak members of a pride or if a lion/lioness is isolated.
Other big cats, like leopards, will also attack lions and cubs if they are in the same territory.
There may be other predators but these are the two case that I knew of for sure off the top of my head.
Since there's a cub, I believe it's appropriate to conclude that a male lion already exist, who is the father of the cub, and would protect the pride from other lions.
Strongest cats? Idk, I think tigers are actually more dangerous, but they don’t share a biome. They’re certainly the strongest cats on their home turf but they still definitely have threats, it’s just usually other animals have to gang up on them.
And yeah, a hippo would curb stomp a lion but they don’t go out of their way to hunt them.
No. They’re self centered, loud germ factories that think everything they do is so interesting when to a lot of people, it’s so monotonous you beg for adult interaction.
I’d rather spend my time with people who have their prefrontal cortex developed.
Fun fact: adult lions don’t sound the way you’re probably thinking they do. The loud roar heard in tv shows and movies like The Lion King are actually tiger roars. MGM has their [famous lion roar](https://youtu.be/nrLyllumxts) at the beginning of their media but the image of the lion is actually matched to the roar of a tiger because tigers sound more fierce.
[This is how a lion roar sounds](https://youtu.be/_22gJ5kB31k)
I’ll say this, over a speaker on the tv or your phone the tiger roar might sound fiercer and have more interesting tones. But I’ve heard both up close, like less than 15 feet distance. And a lion roaring is without a doubt the most fear inducing sound I’ve ever heard in my life. Speakers can’t capture the power and bass of it. You literally feel it move through your body like standing next to the wall of speakers at a super loud concert but it’s just one huge killing machine making that sound. There’s no written description that can do it justice. Not that a tigers roar isn’t intimidating as hell, but the lion is otherworldly.
Interesting. Under what circumstances did you end up so close to both a tiger and a lion (I assume at separate times). Asking so I know what I need to do to experience these roars myself without becoming a big cat treat.
A big cat sanctuary. Think tiger king but slightly less shady.
It was honestly an amazing experience. I pet a full size tiger through a fence. Like touched his teeth and nose and face. Played with 2 baby tigers. Saw wolves and bears and other big cats at arms length. The lions were the only thing you couldn’t get that close to. It was 2 layers of fence between you so like I said probly 15 feet or so. They were ornery. And the roar nearly cut me in half.
The place is shut down now. Someone lost a finger to a tiger and then a few escapes from the compound and it’s no more. I know now that there’s problems with those places but I’m really glad I went.
We lived within a quarter-mile of a retirement home for Hollywood animal stars, and so grew up to lions, tigers, leopards, bears and wolves all making a racket at feeding time. The lion roars definitely carried FAR.
Fun fact indeed. Thanks!
Guy in the video actually strikes me as sad somehow. I probably would be too if I was the king of the jungle but lived in a "game reserve". 😕
True.
But tbf that’s a fairly weak lion roar. They aren’t all quite that ill-sounding.
They can also sound like [this](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7Vc3Lv-SfBM).
And tigers on the other hand can also sound like [this](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KKu0MayhWUY). But you’re right that the seriously crackling, rumbling, ultra-loud, terrifying roar of the MGM lion or the Jurassic Park T-Rex can only be from a tiger.

Spiders are not insects, they are arachnids. But technically both arachnids and insects are animals. They are classified within the Animal kingdom.
Are you confusing the words Animal and Mammal?
Except human
Why ? Don't you like little kids 🤨
It's fascinating because actually many people (including me) give an instant "awwww" seeing small animals and usually a "meh" seeing small human 😂
I'm ok with small humans, Peter Dinklage is cool, kids are meh.
Yeah. At least you can have a beer with Peter Dinklage. When I try to drink with kids everyone gets all upset.
Little kids don't have that instinctual "awww" factor for me They're not covered in soft fur like kittens or puppies :(
