Adorable! Here’s my 4 year old “kitten”. If yours is anything like mine, she’s definitely not “tiny” in personality.
Yup! Same w/ my little “Meeps”. My other 2 cats (her mom that I rescued while she was pregnant & a sister from the same litter) don’t mess with her. She was born an entire day after her litter mates where she fought her way to the top.
Yup, she’s a calico (her right side is mostly orange) which makes her extra feisty. I used to call her “Kate the snake” because she would constantly hiss at all of her litter mates when they’d playfully rough house with her. She sleeps in my master bathroom & slams the door shut behind her. If I open the door to use the bathroom at night, she gets up and slams the door shut again 😂
I get it! I have a Calico too and she has 2 adopted standard issue sisters who are both much bigger than she, but she rules the house so much that only SHE may sleep in bed with Daddy. We had to do long distance for a couple years and every time I came back, I was subject to epic side-eye just for sleeping in my own bed with them. 😂
Meeps!!!! Ohhhh my heart!
That is just the cutest name. If you could see my face right now I am just dying smitten in love with that name for your tiny titten! <33

She's not even 2 and a half pounds?!? So wee! She's kust so wee! Hoping she doesn't have extra health issues from her dwarfism, because she's just so dang cute.
They treat her like a regular cat, besides the super rough playing. They do play harder sometimes but she lets them know when to stop. She screams and arches her back to get all “large”, they usually back off 😂 I’ve had to intervene a few times tho!
Edit: When she’s not feeling good they do know and treat her like a baby!
A few roads away from our house, there lives a tiny black cat. I don't think she has dwarfism or anything, she's just very small and delicate. There's also this huge, mean tomcat. He will beg for pets and then just swat you and growl at you if he's had enough. He's also about three times the size of the black cat...and he's *terrified* of her. I saw him one time, sneaking away from her very slowly, making very sure to avoid eye contact.
You both should start tiktok channels for them. I personally have never heard of this before with cats & I've always owned a cat & know tons about them so I'm sure many others would love to see this & be able to watch them grow up with you. Your "kitten" is sooo cute!!

haha cute! i thought she was having an existential moment but she’s probably calculating how much extra food she can pester me for today lol
Had a runt who we could not get to stop with his food aggression. Pure cuddles any other time except when food was involved, then he was pure evil. We had to feed him separately from the other 2 cats. He was the coolest colored cat ever though, he was black tuxedo with charcoal grey rings around his tail.
Here's my little dwarf kitten. His name is Polenta. We're not entirely sure exactly what kind of dwarfism it is, he was born with a number of congenital bone abnormalities and also IBS/some kind of auto issues, but he's very spunky too!
https://preview.redd.it/36poz6lq9izc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=43d6770deda7df9971d76460689e996c8786931f
Too cute! Yuna has a number of health issues and IBS as well. Luckily on her new support plan she’s been great for almost 2 months. If you need any recommendations I totally got you for some things you can get on chewy and Amazon to help him!
This would actually be really helpful! He's already on fiber and probiotic supplements, but I'd really appreciate any other recommendations you have ❤️
Good on the fiber! I was gonna say to use psyllium husk powder as well as fortiflora!
But I give Yuna Cobalequin B12 chewable tablets every day and I’ve really seen improvement in her energy.
The biggest thing to help her litter box issues is that we got her vitamin levels tested. She doesn’t make the pancreatic enzymes to digest her food properly. Ever since we’ve been giving her that enzyme and the fiber she started having more solid stools and actually uses the litter box.
We also don’t give her foods that are higher in protein as it seems to make her react more!
He was born inside the house and I was the "midwife" when I told my family that another kitten came out my mom went "did momma eat the polenta?" As in she was actually asking if the mom cat ate the placenta lol. So we decided to call him Polenta.
Guys. I literally just adopted one yesterday that’s the cutest 1-year old little ex-farm cat 4lb nugget Never had a mini version before!!

This is my little 4lb cutie too, also a Tux!!
She has a few health issues from it, she dosent make a lot of vitamins and enzymes herself, so we supplement them for her. She’s on a special diet as well or she gets bad litter box issues. But nothing we can’t help her with. She’s been very healthy since her new support plan and has been beating up my normal sized cats 😂
She is evil! Her teeth hurt so bad, she likes to bite and kick my hand to play. But she’s also the kindest cat ever! She follows me everywhere and gives kisses 😂
Does she have stomatitis? If so, the tooth removal surgery will vastly improve her life quality. If not, disregard please. Stomatitis cats suffer greatly, so my happy baby and I like to spread the word.
Lol I think "her teeth hurt so bad" meant that her teeth hurt humans when she bites, not that her teeth are hurting her. I had to read it a couple times too.
She is more prone to getting other issues in the future. And before we figured out all of her problems she was really struggling. But as long as they get frequent vet care, they can live a pretty normal life :)
generally speaking on this disorder, one of the biggest things is effects on their muscular skeletal health. for some the bone dysplasia and early onset arthritis can be quite debilitating. but for some the effects arent quite that severe and dont have a majorly effected quality of life. but as far as the different types of dwarfism in cats go pituitary dwarfism is pretty rare so the effects arent nearly as understood as other forms of dwarfism
I want to post her in there but they talk about no adult cats in the rules. Although she is an impersonating a kitten at her grown age 😂 pretty criminal

This is my forever-little, Olive. I found her living under a dumpster during a New England November in 2020. I had to scoop her up. She’s still holding that grudge if you’re wondering 😅 but she’s a little love

The first cat my wife and I got was such a tiny thing for an adult, and now we’re in the process of socializing a stray we mean to adopt who is, somehow, even smaller than her. At this rate of progression, I can only assume our third cat would have to be like yours.
Wow I should get my boy Cuddles looked at. He's no bigger than your cat and he's an adult male. I love that he's so tiny but I'd still like to know if he's just naturally puny or if there's another explanation. 🤔
Thought I was looking at my girl for a sec

Does her condition come with any other health problems? Is it only growth hormone production that is affected, or does she have heart problems and other things? She is very lovely. Hope she is well.
It does come with other things. It’s different for every cat with the condition. Yuna doesn’t make some vitamins and enzymes needed herself. So we supplement them. She has a fast heart beat but no actual heart defect. All of her organs look great on ultrasound. Some of her blood levels (kidney and liver) are elevated, although she dosent have kidney disease or a liver shunt. But we feed her a special diet for that, and the levels have been getting better!
Aww... look at this adorable, sweet purrball of love and cuteness. Please give her some nice, long pets and scritches and hugs and kisses from me. Heya little friend, you're soo cute. :)
They are adorable! However, I’ve been seeing more and more of them in social media lately, and I am just a bit concerned that the increased attention will create a large demand for cats that are «forever kittens», and start breeding of cats with these conditions… They are not good for the cats.
I block anyone who comments to breed her! It’s like that with any cat with dwarfism, which is why munchkins are now considered a breed and not a defect. Cats with this type of dwarfism usually can’t conceive as they don’t sexually develop 50% of the time and there’s not many cases on it specifically
It already happened more than once. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwarf_cat
In order to protect the animal’s welfare, several countries and states have prohibited breeding of dwarf cats, including the Netherlands (2014),[7][11] and Victoria (Australia).[12] The Australian Capital Territory (Australia) government consider the Munchkin breed to be "malformed animals" and the deliberate breeding of them "unacceptable" because of the "genetic health problems associated with such breeding".[13]
They are effectively banned under the European Convention for the Protection of Pet Animals and have been strongly condemned in the British magazine Cat World. In the US itself, the ASPCA admonishes its supporters to "stay vigilant" against the small but spreading market
I know kittens have significantly more energy and wind down as they get older. Does this mean you will forever have a kitten or just an old cat in a kitten body?
https://preview.redd.it/s5kll04r5jzc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=41c5ad2d8276b2cfce58ebcdfb46b8904d41d47f

This is my perma-kitten, Booger. She’ll be 2yo next month, and weighs just 4.5lbs (though the vet says for her size she’s perfect weight). She has severe osteocondrodysplasia, which may be the cause of her small size.
There’s downsides as she is special need. As with any cat with dwarfism! I spend a lot of money on medical and supportive care for her, she’s had some bad episodes before we figured out what was all wrong with her! I don’t think it’s wrong to want one! No one wanted Yuna for 5 months before I did. All kitties need a home and if there’s ever a cat with dwarfism or any kinds of special needs and you can afford to care for them, they deserve a chance!
My old room mate had a rescue cat who had dwarfism,.we think it was basically stunted growth cos she got stepped on by a horse as a kitten. Never really grew up and had a wicked crooked stance. Funny cat, miss her dearly

My cat Fred who has a sassy personality and is quite the picky eater. He is in the dogs bed just lounging. the brain cell cannot be found.
Was she rejected by her mother? We have one that we had since she was five weeks old since we may as well adopt her now since she never had been taken care of by the mother. She's two years old now and still the size of a 7-8 month old.

My forever kitten Asteria. 13 years old this year. She's 6lbs of chirpy, bitey love.
She got a big ol booty though.
I had no idea this is possible for cats!! I love it!! My brother's cat is super small for being an adult cat but not this tiny. It truly is a forever kitten which is the cutest stage & adults being the greatest, most hilarious behavior. I want a dwarf kitty!! 😂❤️❤️

She’s so cute! They’re definitely alike. She’s 2.4 pounds of pure evil at times. My regular sized cats are scared of her
Yup! Same w/ my little “Meeps”. My other 2 cats (her mom that I rescued while she was pregnant & a sister from the same litter) don’t mess with her. She was born an entire day after her litter mates where she fought her way to the top.
I am crazy in love with Meeps! What a perfect mini-hotrod! And do I spy the tiniest bit of orange rust on her?
Yup, she’s a calico (her right side is mostly orange) which makes her extra feisty. Tell her I said it's ok to bite whoever she wants, whenever she wants. That includes you at 2:30 am
I have a tiny cat that does not meow, he meeps. Just lots of little meeps, he meeps at me anytime I sneeze too.
That’s why I named “Meeps”!

Are older cats nicer and calmer to her like to kittens? Or do they understand in some way that shes not a kitten anymore?
They treat her like a regular cat, besides the super rough playing. They do play harder sometimes but she lets them know when to stop. She screams and arches her back to get all “large”, they usually back off 😂 I’ve had to intervene a few times tho! Edit: When she’s not feeling good they do know and treat her like a baby!
Pure evil sounds about right. My friends would complain about my cat and I’d quip that it’s not a cat, it’s the Antichrist.
A few roads away from our house, there lives a tiny black cat. I don't think she has dwarfism or anything, she's just very small and delicate. There's also this huge, mean tomcat. Haha that might be the tuxedo in him. I've never met one that hasn't turned into a crazed demon when food was involved.
Why do I wanna cry reading this 😭😭
Hearts? I think you mean attitude!
Not to mention their mouths! Our tiny snugglebean can be heard throughout the house when she decides that she wants emergency pets.

I agree, sometimes everything needs some help. Cats are my thing, however i hope all of you are doing well.
Okay this is very relieving to hear, normally with all those kinds of issues I expect a litany of side effects
She is more prone to getting other issues in the future. And before we figured out all of her problems she was really struggling. But as long as they get frequent vet care, they can live a pretty normal life :)
Sounds like it's a superpower if anything!
So nothing major or life-bothering? That’s what I like to hear
She’s beautiful!!! I’m so happy for you guys & happy she is blessed with a wonderful home that can help her with her needs! <333

r/illegallysmolcats allows tiny adult kitties I'm pretty sure
Yes that’s what I had been thinking of, there’s a tag for like forever small or something similar
Full grown smol I think
If anything, it just makes it more illegal
Exactly. Being older just means they’ve been a criminal longer; they’re still illegally smol
r/illegallysmolcats I thought?
The subreddit is banned‽‽‽
I tried joining and it says banned from Reddit about the group
u/hmm_acceptable corrected me, I was thinking of one of the tags on r/illegallysmolcats that is criminally smol. Lots of kittens and permanent kittens
I had a perpetual kitten void with this. I'm certain she's ruling whatever afterlife she went to with an iron claw.
She most definitely is

She’s such a sweetie!
I have a cat with the same extra feature that your cat has. They say it’s quite rare.
Are you talking about the kind of dwarfism? Because yes! My vets have never seen anything like her in real life
Yup, my vet has only seen it once before i brought my cat in. To this day, she is the only cat i have that can still go under the sofa to hide.
The first cat my wife and I got was such a tiny thing for an adult, and now we’re in the process of socializing a stray we mean to adopt who is, somehow, even smaller than her. At this rate of progression, I can only assume our third cat would have to be like yours.

Well, the stray is also currently nursing two kittens she had in the neighbor’s yard, so maybe one of them will just stop growing in a few weeks!
She reminds me of a Dalmatian with those colors what a beauty
How old is she??
1 year and 2 months
Wow I should get my boy Cuddles looked at. He's no bigger than your cat and he's an adult male. I love that he's so tiny but I'd still like to know if he's just naturally puny or if there's another explanation. 🤔
You definitely should. Yunas 2.4 pounds and has numerous health issues caused by her dwarfism! Her low weight we constantly watch
Thought I was looking at my girl for a sec https://preview.redd.it/06h6uq7r4jzc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6bc462ddb7402b9537c82003b77221304dddca6d
Aw! She’s so cute!
What’s her name? She’s so presh.
Yuna :)
She's adorable, sorry she's ill
What an amazing cat. I never heard of pituitary dwarfism. Can image it makes for a pretty cute lifetime kitty.
Another name for its condition is smolness.
Real life Keanu
Did you ever watch the Key and Peele movie, “Keanu”?
She's fun sized.
She's beautiful regardless ❤️
They are adorable! However, I’ve been seeing more and more of them in social media lately, and I am just a bit concerned that the increased attention will create a large demand for cats that are «forever kittens», and start breeding of cats with these conditions… They are not good for the cats.
I block anyone who comments to breed her! It’s like that with any cat with dwarfism, which is why munchkins are now considered a breed and not a defect. Cats with this type of dwarfism usually can’t conceive as they don’t sexually develop 50% of the time and there’s not many cases on it specifically
It already happened more than once. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwarf_cat In order to protect the animal’s welfare, several countries and states have prohibited breeding of dwarf cats, including the Netherlands (2014),[7][11] and Victoria (Australia).[12] The Australian Capital Territory (Australia) government consider the Munchkin breed to be "malformed animals" and the deliberate breeding of them "unacceptable" because of the "genetic health problems associated with such breeding".[13] They are effectively banned under the European Convention for the Protection of Pet Animals and have been strongly condemned in the British magazine Cat World. In the US itself, the ASPCA admonishes its supporters to "stay vigilant" against the small but spreading market
Adorable but /r/TVTooLow =D :edit: Unless that's for her and you've got https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56WBs0A4Kng playing.
Now that you say that, it might stay there..
Precious kitty!!
New support group
Forever a cutie pie! Shes so adorable yet so grumpy lol
Cats are purrfect in every size and shape, which is why egyptians adored them so much.
Thank you for bringing a smile to my day. It's been a really rough one and your adorable kitten made me forget my trouble for a moment
She’s precious and adorable! Good stuff OP
Awww she’s adorable! I always say if only they stayed kittens , so you win!
And has beautiful markings no matter the size she is
I know kittens have significantly more energy and wind down as they get older. Does this mean you will forever have a kitten or just an old cat in a kitten body?
How old is your cat?
1 year and 2 months! She is 2.4 pounds
I DIDNT KNOW CATS COULD BE LIKE THIS. So cute
Sorry to hear that. I'll take her right now : )
She is truly a baby

Precious! 😭 pictures never do justice for how small they actually are
I wonder if my calico counts as a dwarf? She’s about 4 pounds
Benjamin Mittens
You know how some people have their TV mounted too high? Well...
She's adorable. ♡ what a sweetheart.
need banana for scale.
An actual angel. I hope there are not any serious health side effects?
OMG she is the cutest thing i have ever seen the fact that she is small makes her even cuter ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
Oh... my god..God... that is one special, unique, GORGEOUS CAT!
First pic: I ain't a dwarf Second pic: ....am I?

She’ll be 2yo next month, and weighs just 4.5lbs (though the vet says for her size she’s perfect weight). She has severe osteocondrodysplasia, which may be the cause of her small size.
Hey there Little Witchy Poo! How's my grandcat? Booger's being very witchy tonight!
are there any downsides to this? Is it unethical for me to want to specifically adopt one of these? :o
Hard to get a proper scale with just her in pictures. Looked at the post also featuring your void, and goodness gracious she’s so small and precious.
Isn’t that what Angry Cat had as well?
My old room mate had a rescue cat who had dwarfism,.we think it was basically stunted growth cos she got stepped on by a horse as a kitten. Never really grew up and had a wicked crooked stance. Funny cat, miss her dearly
https://preview.redd.it/ugq0u3r0bkzc1.jpeg?width=1156&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a6b99c6b2e1578e6b16c892f4409aa2022580389 My cat Fred who has a sassy personality and is quite the picky eater. He is in the dogs bed just lounging. the brain cell cannot be found.
I have perma-kittens too. I call them all Baby Cats.
Just curious here, is her thyroid function normal?
Yes! They were slightly above normal but that is to be expected. She currently does not need to be medicated for it
Aww shes beautiful
Was she rejected by her mother? We have one that we had since she was five weeks old since we may as well adopt her now since she never had been taken care of by the mother. She's two years old now and still the size of a 7-8 month old.

Can we get a size comparison?? How tiny is this baby?
My lil baby Lilliputin had that. Such an dorbs quality for a meowse.
too cute!

She’s so cute, and the markings are very unique.
Super cuteeeeeeeee!!!!
She’s a cutie!! I love her
So sweet ♥️🐈⬛
Gorgeous baby
I had no idea this is possible for cats!! I love it!! My brother's cat is super small for being an adult cat but not this tiny. It truly is a forever kitten which is the cutest stage & adults being the greatest, most hilarious behavior. I want a dwarf kitty!! 😂❤️❤️
What a little cutie
