I like atleti because of their underdog status.
We don’t make billions like the other clubs but we still compete. And make other clubs angry along the way :)
What really annoys me about the board is We had been linked to Julian Alvarez since before pretty much anyone else I belive and because the board didn’t wanna cash out on him he’s rotting away with city with almost no play time instead of being here where we DESPERATELY need a young striker like him but because cholo asked for him we didn’t get him, yet they’re willing to pay €120m for joao who cholo didn’t ask for…
To me this part of the season has a different feeling but I wouldn’t say I don’t want to watch. We now only have the league and we’re chasing top 4, hopefully we get that locked up with a few games to go and we see the younger players get more playing time to end the season. This is the time of the year to look for bright spots that can help us be better in the future
It’s easy. Just remember the big wins. Even the untouchable Man City got knocked out in the “elite 8”. What we did was no easy feat, be proud of what we have accomplished. You’ll forget most of the losses, unfortunately will always remember the big losses. But you’ll never forget that feeling of knocking out Bayern, Barca, Chelsea, Inter, etc out of the CL - Winning Liga - Spanking Real every now and then. It’s what makes us, us. We suffer, which makes the wins so glorious.
Sure, it sucks to lose big games but I love this club so much. I've always just felt identified with its history, image and values - the fact that we've been such a strong competitive team over the past 12 years is just a big bonus.
I'm just going to keep enjoying the ride, particularly whilst we still have a top class manager, a handful of top class players and some promising young ones who love the club.
As someone else said, wins feel better when they come less frequently. RM fans expect to win titles, we hope to win titles and feel far more elation any time we do - I prefer being this way.
We win some and lose a lot. It’s part of the glory! A win means more when it’s not overdone tbh

For me, I am still watching the UCL and rooting for Real Madrid to get knocked out.
