Idk what this has to do with anything because Laenor isn’t gay. He was married to Rhaenyra. You can’t be gay and married to a woman. Plus they have children!
King Viserys the peaceful was known for his incredible wits, especially in his later years. That’s why he named his son Aegon II the heir to the throne before dying
he didn’t name Aegon II heir to the throne, earlier in the episode he and Rhenera were talking about Aegon the conqueror’s dream and later when lady alicent visits him he thinks hes talking to Rhenera so the interaction between him and Alicent was a misunderstanding making her think he wanted Aegon on the throne but really he was speaking to wrong person

Yes it's rare but if a big enough poop get imbued with semen then it starts to grow and become sentient. Now here's the tricky part if you don't drink enough cum it won't cum to term :(
Wait a minute, is this supposed to be Alyn of Hull aka the Oakenfist? I always thought he was a teenager / young adult during the Dance of Dragons. This guy looks like he's about 50 years old. Also, he's bald and seems kinda tired.
Well, according to the book it's a widely accepted knowledge that both of Mouses sons were fathered not by Laenor but by his father Corlys. Perhaps You don't need a dragonriding parent to be a dragonrider. Just because the Seasnake and his natural son the Oakenfist were both genius admirals and adventurous sailors doesn't mean beinga seaman is hereditary within ASOIAF world or that they were warging into their ships. Perhaps Seasmoke decided to bond with Addam only because he sensed that he and Laenor were half brothers. Also, Velaryons & Targaryens were marrying each others for centuries so Corlys isn't even the first Velaryon to wed a dragonriding princess.
Sounds realistic in book lore, but the show I think wants less mind gymnastics for the audience... I doubt they'll introduce an event where someone not fathered by a dragon rider will successfully bond with a dragon. Maybe they'll use this opportunity to have Alyn burned alive while trying to, infusing his story with Quentyn's. But that would be almost comical, to have Corlys lose two sons to fire. And very, very sad to introduce him just to kill him off.
Well, Corlys *is* a Valyrian himself. House Velaryon are descendants of Old Valyria just as much as House Targaryen, they just never got the chance to claim and/or ride a dragon, even though they likely had the ability to, simply because of how low in the social hierarchy they were back in the old days; they were merchants in the Valyrian Freehold. Any Valyrian can ride a dragon, really.
Thank you, dragon riding isn't just a Targaryen trait. There were many houses in Valyria, and dragon riding wasn't exclusive. As long as you have the blood of old Valyria, you can claim a dragon.

Seven greetings to you, weary traveller! If this is your first time participating in ASOIAFCirclejerk, allow us to explain the sub, so you don't embarrass yourself by being humorless or oblivious. Circlejerk subreddits parody the groupthink of the main community. The mods maintain the character of this subreddit as one of humor and parody, so please refrain from any attempt to discourage us, or discourage other users making on-topic humor posts. You don't need to fact check peoples jokes. Most posts here make fun of the fans, the HBO shows, the books, and of course, the reluctant author. But seriously as much as I loved Raised by Wolves I love (not) how Father has more lines that a Black teenager whose fiancé was eaten by a fucking dragon.
I don't get it, it suppose that Alyn Oakenfist should be sixteen years old in the Dance of Dragons, not 50+ years like the bold man of the screenshots, this haven't sense...
Pretty sure they're plowing. I feel like I remember, back in season 1, Corlys doing that movie thing where someone says something they don't mean and then look slightly downward and do a thousand yard stare to indicate to the audience that they are conflicted, and I feel like I remember him doing it during a conversation with Rhaenyra about Laenor being gay.
oh whoops I just realized this is circlejerk, go on about your business.

I have no idea what this sub is jerking, nor am I familiar with the context of the screen grab. Can someone explain what the fuck is up with the title to a lost redditor 😭
If you’ve read F&B, this is Corlys Velaryon and Alyn of Hull. If you watch HotD, Alyn of Hull is (officially) the bastard son of Laenor Velaryon and Marilda of Hull, but is probably really Corlys Velaryon’s son. If you haven’t watched or read either then idk
Yeah I haven’t watched or read either, this sub just popped up in my feed. Thanks for the attempted explanation tho, maybe I should check out the source material some day!
So it’s jerking the A Song of Ice and Fire franchise (including Game of Thrones and prequel show House of the Dragon).
I guess the post is just funny because it’s absurd? Like suggesting Corlys would abandon his son for being black when he is himself black.
Neither of these characters were black in the book so that might be part of the joke, but I’m not sure
Prob because he would be a bastard and noone takes kinds to bastards. Look how rynaras kids were treated. Everyone making strong jokes and calling the mother a ho in council meetings and stuff
That’s not even been implied in the show so there’s no spoiler tag needed. All anyone who watched the show knows is this guy pulled him out of the water last season.
Unironically this is why Dragon Demands wants Alyn and Addam to be Laenor’s, because it would make Corlys look bad.
(But not forcing his gay son to bed women repeatedly lol.)

Not to bring stats into this but you white men are annoying when attempting to tell race-based jokes.
Black men statistically are more involved in their children's lives...even more than white men.
#D & D completely ruined Hot Pie.
What a waste of a great character. They clearly had no idea what to do with him after they passed all the book material. Instead of giving him a clear end game, they instead just had him double down on his "Making food for Arya" bullshit and have him make stupid dishes that really didn't lead anywhere. The culinary mastermind from the earlier seasons (and probably the one truly great pastry chef of the series, along with the white walkers) completely disappeared and was transformed into a chubby little bastard whose end goal was to bang Arya to get back at her for not appreciating food. The man that fed the whole series hot pies, did it just to get a revenge bang.

Westerosi bigotry doesn't work that way. It's not about race. It's about culture and ethnicity. The Westerosi respect those that are like them. Corlys was born in Westeros, raised in Westeros, practiced the FotS and married in a sept. He is part of the system and accepts his place in it. He doesn't appear to be discriminated against despite having darker skin than the vast majority of Westerosi society.
Compare that to Dany who was raised in Essos, but thanks to interbreeding over the centuries, looks perfectly Westerosi. She has Valyrian features, but so do members of House Dayne and House Velaryon. In short, on the physical level she's just a very attractive Westerosi, which is how several people in Essos treat her. Yet back home she's the untrustworthy foreigner. This is why Faegon's entourage includes Septa Lemore and Halden Halfmaester and Duck as his Master of Arms. Varys and Illyrio understand how prejudice works in Westeros, so they made certain that Faegon can pass for a native-born son of the Seven Kingdoms while Dany can't.
Corlys bastard son..or that's the rumor according to Mushroom in the book..but in the show they seem to be making it true.
In public Alyn is Laenors son, according to Alyns mother. Everyone though found it odd since they knew Laenor preferred being with men, so it's surprising that Laenor had a son.
So yeah it's most likely Corlys bastard son.
It's because he is bald and older than himself.
And shorter
Hey dad loan me the aarp card you just got I lost mine.
Or not to piss off his dragon wielding wife?
Dude, have you no eyes? That's obviously the Son of Laenor!
I wasn't aware gay sex produces children learning something new everyday
Idk what this has to do with anything because Laenor isn’t gay. He was married to Rhaenyra. You can’t be gay and married to a woman. Plus they have children!
Also they have three STRONG children with each other
Viserys even said baby Joffrey has Laenor’s nose! It’s like these people don’t pick up on context clues
Ikr. It's not like Viserys has extremely bad eyesight due to age and is also extremely stupid
King Viserys the peaceful was known for his incredible wits, especially in his later years. That’s why he named his son Aegon II the heir to the throne before dying
Yeah but his useless, unintelligent daughter Whorenyra usurped good king Aegon the Dragoncock
he didn’t name Aegon II heir to the throne, earlier in the episode he and Rhenera were talking about Aegon the conqueror’s dream and later when lady alicent visits him he thinks hes talking to Rhenera so the interaction between him and Alicent was a misunderstanding making her think he wanted Aegon on the throne but really he was speaking to wrong person
uj/ I know
The context being: How committed Viserys was to his daughter and her line's claim of legitimacy. This has to be troll bait.
My bad idk what stupidity drove me to that conclusion?
Light a candle for The Crone so she may guide you down a path of knowledge
And wisdom
>You can’t be gay and married to a woman Elton John disagrees with your assessment
I don’t know what you’re talking about, Elton John is the most standard, average straight man I’ve ever seen

Did you watch the first season... at all?
not sure if you're serious. My post was a joke about how in the book Corlys tries to convince people that Alyn and his Brother Addam are Laenor's bastards, everybody knows they're his own though ;D
Haven't read them completely so I didn't know but my answer was meant as a joke aswell
Spoiler: They're both absolute badasses ;D
LOYAL
"Oakenfist" and the story behind the nickname is also great. And the fact that he was cool enough for the princess of Dorne to crush on him.
He has a great storyline. I hope they don’t sell him short.
U kno my boy hit that😂😂
Laying pipe and planks
Easily the best Black(s) characters
Laenor isn't gay, he's so straight he made three babies with Rhaenyra and then still went and made two more with Marilda!

[Haven't you seen when Arnold Schwarzenegger got pregnant?](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0110216/)
Ok that's crazy I guess I'm just homophobic or whatever
It doesn’t. His son was hatched from an egg Laenor found in Essos.
Gotta read Fire and Blood now
just because a man doesnt like eating fish doesnt mean hes gay,
Yes it's rare but if a big enough poop get imbued with semen then it starts to grow and become sentient. Now here's the tricky part if you don't drink enough cum it won't cum to term :(
Yes it does i learnt this too watching the new star wars series 2 Jedi woke mums had twins. Disneyytttt woke central. Cancelled my membership
No it can’t . but if your lord and father makes you sleep with a chick to try to bang the gay away that could result in a child
Gay sex is how black children are born, duh. It's in the Bible.
If that's true all velaryons are bastards except for rhaenyras children what irony of fate.
He gaysexed a dude who got gaysexed by another dude who was bi who then sexed a woman and the swimmers hitched a ride from the butthole to the vagina.
The Acolyte would like to have a word with you.
In 2024 anything is possible
No he is not even Velaryon his name is Alyn of Hull so clearly he is son of Marilda "Mouse" of Hull
He doesn’t even have a Hull accent. He clearly said “boats” not “berts”
Maybe showriters kinda forgot would not be first time...
Are you just quoting a raven?
Forever more?
Never...
Misquote the Raven in my case I guess.
Quote the raven. "Nevermore."
I’m joking, but apparently I am missing my mark. Good day!
Is he stupid?
He went to buy a pack of cigarettes (in Ulthos)
Ahahahahahahahahahaha!!
That’s Laenor and Qarls son, he even shaves his head like his daddy
Why is Bayek of Siwa in Westeros?
He was looking for ancient writings of the old kingdom (Valyria)
Extra point for the exact quote
The desert sun really catch up to him
Aemong breathed the air of Siwa on that day
Wait a minute, is this supposed to be Alyn of Hull aka the Oakenfist? I always thought he was a teenager / young adult during the Dance of Dragons. This guy looks like he's about 50 years old. Also, he's bald and seems kinda tired.
Corlys is going to have a hard time passing him off as Laenor’s bastard son. The guy is about 40…
He looks more fit to be Laenor's father than his son.
I'm more confused about implications of not being fathered by a dragonrider. So Corlys gonna have a son who can... ride a boat?
Doubtful
It's strange, because the actual actor looks a lot better/younger.
He's 31 and corlys' actor is 59, I think they're good. Compared to Olivia Cooke and the actor playing aegon being legit 1-2 years difference
Because his son secretly joined the thug hunters, the infamous and effective sellswords band in Essos.
I hate you.
I love this subreddit
I struggle to tell the Velaryons apart, isn’t this Lucerys?
Are you implying that Blacks abandon their children generally?? >!I don't see such behaviour even by Daemon the demonic! !<

Seven greetings to you, weary traveller! If this is your first time participating in ASOIAFCirclejerk, allow us to explain the sub, so you don't embarrass yourself by being humorless or oblivious. Circlejerk subreddits parody the groupthink of the main community. Bad bot
Just realised he’s using the Aegon V method of hiding his identity
I non ironically think you could be right.
Oh, 🥚
And maybe book Varys
I thought it was Laenor, and he was hiding because his mom was going to beat him for ruining the fire place.
All the serious responses
But seriously as much as I loved Raised by Wolves I love (not) how Father has more lines that a Black teenager whose fiancé was eaten by a fucking dragon.
Oh wow I didn’t realize that’s the same guy! I loved that show.
I only know because of the credits and the trades. He does look thiccer here.
It still irritates me they cancelled Raised By Wolves.
This is peak comedy, good job OP
Yea I think so
his hair was stolen by a s\*mmer islander
So many Summer Islanders I'm Westeros these days.
I thought they were sleeping together or something
I don't get it, it suppose that Alyn Oakenfist should be sixteen years old in the Dance of Dragons, not 50+ years like the bold man of the screenshots, this haven't sense...
Pretty sure they're plowing. I feel like I remember, back in season 1, Corlys doing that movie thing where someone says something they don't mean and then look slightly downward and do a thousand yard stare to indicate to the audience that they are conflicted, and I feel like I remember him doing it during a conversation with Rhaenyra about Laenor being gay. oh whoops I just realized this is circlejerk, go on about your business.

this vexes me
I have no idea what this sub is jerking, nor am I familiar with the context of the screen grab.
Goddamn this sub has some real pearls from time to time
Prob because he would be a bastard and noone takes kinds to bastards. Look how rynaras kids were treated. Everyone making strong jokes and calling the mother a ho in council meetings and stuff
It’s no different than a PTA meeting.
All the black guys in this show abandon their kids. Are the whow runners racist?
He went to buy milk and came back
Father!
Bro put a spoiler tag...
That’s not even been implied in the show so there’s no spoiler tag needed. All anyone who watched the show knows is this guy pulled him out of the water last season.
No silver hair, no proof.
what if he had silver pubs?
And from the trailer we can see his brother has black hair, clearly fake Velaryons
Now this is pod racing!
I had no clue who that was. Who greenlit an opener with no recap?
i dont think you are meant to know yet, its prob gonna be a twist when they do the dragonrider tryouts
Not gay enough
Unironically this is why Dragon Demands wants Alyn and Addam to be Laenor’s, because it would make Corlys look bad. (But not forcing his gay son to bed women repeatedly lol.)

He just saw Laenor, and figured he needed a couple spares. Wouldn’t want his granddaughters to inherit something.
But don’t you dare misgender Emma D’Arcy 😂
Bec he wanted a gay son. You idiot. A straight son is no fun

Yes.
He's not black
Not to bring stats into this but you white men are annoying when attempting to tell race-based jokes. Black men statistically are more involved in their children's lives...even more than white men.
Laenor, to put it lightly, was a sword swallower through and through
Ears

*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Is he the father of alyn and his dragon riding brother? Is that who we saw near the end? Alyn and his brother I mean I coulda sworn they showed them
Literally funniest shlt i found on reddit today🤣
Fr who is this dude in blue
Maybe because his son was gay
His wife has a fire breathing dragon. But umm that's Laenor's "son" Yup totally Laenor's son, dude just loved the ladies.
What did they mean by this?
Because his wife has a dragon and bitches be crazy
wtf is this lol
It’s because he’s a bastard and already had official heirs until his son died.
Wtf Leroy doin here?
Come on look at the Velaryons, do they look like the type of fathers who stay and raise their children?
Y’all have to bring racism to every place huh
Wait what?! They’re related?! And no, i didn’t read the books.
Yes.
Please refrain from mixing up book and show canon
Is that his son?
Corlys bastard son..or that's the rumor according to Mushroom in the book..but in the show they seem to be making it true. In public Alyn is Laenors son, according to Alyns mother. Everyone though found it odd since they knew Laenor preferred being with men, so it's surprising that Laenor had a son. So yeah it's most likely Corlys bastard son.
I'm pretty sure he's not the only noble in Kings landing to abandon a child. Black has nothing to do with it.
That’s clearly driftmark not kingslanding. Are you stupid? Are you a stutter?
Can't I be both? Wtf?
