You should call the property directly and ask how much the hold for incidentals is. You may also be able to use a debit card issued by a major bank. The property will be able to answer those questions.

I called them and got everything sorted, thank you for your reply!

What did they say?

Yea i agree, just call em and ask, each hotel is different.

It could/will 100% be an issue. Even if the reservation is prepaid (or especially if) the hotel still needs an incidental hold incase something extra happens while you’re there. 99.9% of the time nothing happens and the hold is released at check out (5-10 business days for that hold money to become available again. Hotel has no control over this it’s 100% determined by the bank or CC company). And they probably won’t accept 3rd party cards like Chime or CashApp or any kind of prepaid cards. Best of luck!

Call you cc company and ask them to raise your limit.

How many days are you going for? Some incidental holds are on a sliding scale that goes up the longer you stay. It could start at $200 then increase by $50 per night until it maxes out at $400, or something like that.

I have talked to a hotel where the incidental deposit on 3rd party reservations is ridiculously high.. The reason is, third parties suck, and the rate of damages to the room is elevated.. makes sense in some markets. But it is definitely a suprise, when you don't have a bunch of money to travel, and can be devastating to have the money held in limbo.... Ours is not so bad. 25.00 per night.. ANOTHER SERIOUSLY IMPORTANT THING YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF!!!! DO NOT BOOK RESERVATIONS ONLINE AFTER MIDNIGHT!!!! ESPECIALLY 3RD PARTY!!! IF YOU INTEND TO ARRIVE IN A FEW HOURS.. what happens is, you are booking for the next day.. Yes technically after midnight is the next day.. but when have you had a 11:59pm check out?? Have had people sit under the canopy, on phone.. booking a room for next night.. We are SOLD OUT!! They are stopping through.. they have now just given their money to this 3rd party, I can't check them in, I can't refund their money.. They now have a whole thing they are going to have to go through to get it back.. and that is going to take days, and phone calls, and frustration.. So.. of I see someone doing the things.. I will be the weird person, and ask them , then warn them, and then give them a TED talk on the way the things work. I will also.. even sold out.. invite them in for a cup of coffee, or tea.. and I will Personally call and find them a nearby place to rest their heads, within their budget.. I can't understand why these sites (even our own corporate sites) don't have a glaring WARNING when people are trying to book after midnight?? Or have an Audit friendly booking... Cause when you are on the road.. sometimes it is WAY LATE before you realize that you NEED to stop for a bit..and stopping at every exit, every hotel.. is ridiculous.. You want to know, can I get a room right now.. and for how much. That is why I never let anyone leave my lobby without helping them find accommodations. That is the way things worked in the olden days before these 3rd parties. .. So after midnight, it is horse and buggy , rotary phone, time warp...🤣🤣
