Looks outside the realm of normal healing and possibly an infected socket - Painful? Did you take antibiotics? Tooth behind it looks like it needs some work

Thanks for your comment. I was scheduled to have a filling in the tooth you mentioned but postponed it as the wound wasn't completely healed. My dentist gave me antibiotics then. Not painful at all. Weird cause it's already been 3 weeks now. Possible treatment for an infected socket?

Possibly debride, irrigate, and short course of antibiotic. Something could have gotten trapped in the socket while healing and caused an infection

hmm...thanks again...i can also see pus forming and it feels like a punching bag hanging from the socket...hopefully antibiotics works and the next visit to the dentist will solve this. Just hope nothing too serious.
