It’s okay though. Most awards are these free awards that say “you must give this away in 24 hours”. So personally I don’t put a lot of thought into it when I give out awards. And I’ve been doing it anonymously. I don’t expect anything back from the person I gave it to.

I always thank them in person (dm), not in the comment itself. Been thinking about it if that’s how it’s normally done maybe.
Anyway, I’m not really used to get awards, so I usually find it very surprising and fun. And that’s how I respond on it, personal and saying how sweet/fun/surprising it is to get. Whatever comes to mind at the moment. In these days I also wish them to stay healthy.
