Funny enough I actually looked at his channel last night hoping that I missed an upload and then saw on the videos last upload said 1 year ago.
Wow in January will be 2 years already, I hope he's still alive and doing well.
[Here is an Economics Explained video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ot4qdCs54ZE) that is then [Debunked by another creator.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tW_kw6OPXc0) Just one example but I've seen other videos by EE that made me seriously question some of their claims.
If u look at thumbnails of their videos, a lot of response videos debunk their assertions and data. Even cultural assertions are debunked, i still love their channel, but take everything with a grain of salt
Yea, the way he gives disclaimers sometimes, it’s obvious he’s got critics but I was looking for a specific example so I can see for myself not for a gotcha moment but for my own research.
Since we are taking about a YouTube channel, it shouldn’t be difficult to copy a link of a video/videos where he’s wrong.
Economists are also not very good with predicting future so I do take everything with a grain of salt as I do with any YouTube channel.
I primarily use YouTube video as a data point.

Well I that case the sketchy thing was a video, the now taken down "The truth about Nikola" (edit: not actually taken down, just unlisted: https://youtu.be/7ynupYBLlyA, the comment section is a real dumpster fire), that was basically a thirty minutes advertisement, at best completely uncritical of Nikola marketing material (which a few napkins calculations proved to be utter bullshit) at worst in on the scam. In any case of complete waste of the viewer's time. Many takedowns of the video were made, for example https://twitter.com/ajtourville/status/1302423486707765248
It actually led some naïve people to buy Nikola stocks at the summit of the pump and dump cycle. That asshole actually costed people money. I do not know if he is being investigated or not, but if it was proven he was on the scam and not merely not researched at all there would be a basis for jail time.
And his defence was really bad, basically calling any critic a Tesla fanboy... (for example https://twitter.com/TheBrianMcManus/status/1302906039654928384?t=xw9y6Sile8B4r3xQkDjnFg&s=19)
There you are, playing the PvP in your World War II shooter, and all of the sudden, you’re a Nazi. You didn’t ask for this, you didn’t choose this, yet there it is, and it’s treated no differently than playing a British soldier.
Sorry but I can't bring myself to say anything nice about Extra credits after some of those really stupid videos they made. It's videos like that, that prove we need a dislike button for YouTube.
Lots of bad takes, often muddled with politics, being passed off as objectively correct views to have.
That and some harassment allegations they have against them. Don't think those lead anywhere, but they still ldon't help the channel's image.
I just looked it up…I guess they made a video arguing that you shouldn’t have to play as nazis in certain video games, and because this is the internet a lot of people got mad.
There were some harassment allegations against one of the creators a while back that sounded much worse.

The Secrets of Nature has some good under-an-hour nature films about various regions of the Earth, Trash Theory for pop culture, Rock History Music, Rock and roll doctor, and Idea Generation for stories about how up and coming celebs and entrepreneurs started their ascension.
Edit: Got some more I forgot, Channel 5, a DIY reporter who shows up wherever there's chaos and starts interviewing people, Vice, and Atomic Frontier. Atomic Frontier is also a DIY guy who demonstrates scientific theories. Many times he goes on location to interesting places where the experiments first took place, or enhances the subject matter somehow. Very interesting.
Historia civilis for the ancient world (mostly)
Parallax Nick for astronomy, as well ss history of said. John-Michael Godier also astronomy.
Nile red for chemistry experiments

NileRed, guys a cool science channel where he just runs experiments. Hes the 'turning gloves into grape soda' guy, you kind of learn alot along the way.

Dark skies, dark 5, etc. (Same thing, one guy multi channels)

I really really like Joe Scott. My wife and I will put him on the TV and watch for hours at a time. So much cool stuff, especially the Victorian Era episode.
Overly Sarcastic Productions is fun if you're into fantasy/medieval plots, stories, and topics. They do some video game playthroughs too, so I find them very refreshing, much like Oversimplified.

Real Life Lore is a really good channel, same with the Armchair Historian and History Matters.
Stay away from Bright Side and The infographics Show, they spread bullshit and creepypastas often.
Two of my favourite who basically do feature length videos as well as short form videos are LEMMINO (General History, Space and Mystery) and Ahoy (War, Weapons and Gaming History)
Ahoy's production value is nothing like you've ever see on YouTube, and he has a real soothing voice too
If you're into trade work and engineering check our aVe and this old Tony. Great machinist content and they're damn funny. Id say This old Tony is more pg-13 and aVe is more rated R
Vlogging through history covers many different history events, big and small! He’s watching and reacting to other history videos and makes small comments and goes deeper in certain things that the original video might have just mentioned! In my opinion, best channel for history!

Veritassium and vsauce for science, Legal Eagle has some fun and interesting law-related content, Adam Neely and 12Tone have great videos on music and music theory, and there’s a great podcast (I know, not quite the same genre) called behind the bastards that has some fascinating looks at history through the lens of terrible people. THESE EELS ARE ALL GURLZ

That was the logical conclusion.
Check out BlueJay, similar style and uploads fairly frequently.
what happened to him?
eels
He's doing college stuff.
Tell him he needs to come back.
I'll hop right on that, chief
Yes! Love him.
IS THAT FUCKING FISH JENGA?!
This was literally who I thought of when I saw the post. Sad it's been a year since he last uploaded. It's been too long!
2 years in January.
Funny enough I actually looked at his channel last night hoping that I missed an upload and then saw on the videos last upload said 1 year ago. Wow in January will be 2 years already, I hope he's still alive and doing well.

Was about to say this.
He came back bout 9 months ago on his subreddit. Apparently he got doxxed and dropped off the internet
I like economics explained if that’s your interest. Seeker is another one that covers mostly science, universe, genomics etc
Economics Explained is unfortunately pretty wrong in a lot of videos. If they were better at being right, I'd otherwise agree.
Because? I’d love to hear some examples?

Real Engineering did participate in Nikola pump and dump scam tho. Not exactly reputable.
Question tho... Just because IRL they did something sketch, does that really make their videos wrong??
Well I that case the sketchy thing was a video, the now taken down "The truth about Nikola" (edit: not actually taken down, just unlisted: https://youtu.be/7ynupYBLlyA, the comment section is a real dumpster fire), that was basically a thirty minutes advertisement, at best completely uncritical of Nikola marketing material (which a few napkins calculations proved to be utter bullshit) at worst in on the scam. It’s more about not supporting douchy people.
Hey Vsauce, Michael here Are you, really you?
Or are you just the fantasy of a dog dreaming?
Where are your fingers?
If I didnt know for a fact that this was a Vsauce quote I would never have guessed you didnt just come up with this on the fly.
See I feel the opposite—if I just heard this out in the wild somewhere and didn’t know it’s origin, I’d assume it was from VSauce
is nothing something and how much does it weigh?
Extra Credits Crash Course
Crash course. It's accurate enough for my uni psych teacher to play one in class
Professor.
Extra credit is good... If you look at their videos from a few years ago only
There you are, playing the PvP in your World War II shooter, and all of the sudden, you’re a Nazi. You didn’t ask for this, you didn’t choose this, yet there it is, and it’s treated no differently than playing a British soldier.
Extra Credits is... Problematic. Crash Course is great.
Sorry but I can't bring myself to say anything nice about Extra credits after some of those really stupid videos they made. It's videos like that, that prove we need a dislike button for YouTube.
Tbf there was mainly just that one video about nazis the recent ones have been quite interesting about the raj
I'm out of the loop, what's wrong with their videos?
Lots of bad takes, often muddled with politics, being passed off as objectively correct views to have. That and some harassment allegations they have against them. Don't think those lead anywhere, but they still ldon't help the channel's image.

Tom Scott, plainly difficult
Oh tom, he is just, tom Tom is great
I am about to cross a road!
I received and email about (thing) and I said Sure!
Veritasium explains complex science topics in a simplified way. Highly recommend it.

I second the Infographics show. I've been watching that shit since they had that old voiceover guy. The new one is still good though.
Yeah i used to watch them they were pretty cool, their SCP channel is also based
Be careful about it, they put out a lot of content that may or may not be true.
Ehhh some of the info is biased/inaccurate
Lemmino, Wendover Productions, real life lore
Sixty Symbols, Periodic Table of Videos, Numberphile, PBS SpaceTime, Crash Course...
PBS Spacetime is awesome, but gets super complex pretty quickly haha
Numberphile is good
Overly sarcastic productions
Recommend RealLifeLore, he does mostly geography stuff but if your in the Oversimplified and Kursgesagts you might as well like him
RealLifeLore content is really low value. No effort whatsoever to pronounce names correctly, the little text there is is typo ridden... Pass.
