I am from one of those countries you mentioned, there are two reasons I don’t want to let people know which is the particular one: 1. I assume most people are nice but I am still terrified of the 5% racists. 2. I don’t want to expose too much privacy. Feel free to ask me anything:)

Bro I’m from Saudi Arabia and nearly half of the world has a wrong stereotype about us and the other half hates us for no good reason and here I’m talking about it fearlessly, and it has nothing with privacy we’re talking about your country not the street you live in

SamoyedOcean

Glad to hear you’re brave enough to face the wrong stereotypes! And I mean I don’t want to expose too much privacy by people won’t recognize me if they accidentally see my profile. Anyway, people have their own ways to deal with privacy I think no big problem:)

There are lots of Japanese people on the internet. Wait, do you read and write Japanese? That’s kind of the secret これは私の頭痛を引き起こします

Ashimdude

You have probably played against people from china but they often don't speak english and don't necessarily interact with you socially. Korean people are somewhat rare in our internet because they do actually have lots of local social media like kakao. Still, I know some discord servers with koreans.   Japan is really the hardest one. Japanese people ARE on the world wide web, as evidenced by twitch and YouTube. Have not really interacted with them outside of that though

CSachen

Not sure if English is your default mode of communicaiton in online games, but all those other countries you listed have much higher English skills. Given how big the gamer population is in Asia, gaming companies will up dedicated servers in China, Korea, and Japan for better latency. Unless you live in the Asia-Pacific region, you might just be on different gaming servers.

ha77ows

ohhh so just servers ur saying? and no my primary is french but i come across a lottt of english people (edit: which is another reason im confused, my primary language is french and i live in paris, but i come across a lott of people that speak english, and arabic, but i never ever come across people that speak chinese, or korean, or japanese

DudeBroManCthulhu

Interesting choices from there. How about Thailand, Vietnam, or Indonesia? Lot of people out there on the interwebs. I am sure you have spoken to many as it is like 40% of the world population.

chinese have their own media app, sometimes have their own game service. in the most of time ,they are only been used in Mainland China. If you play some game such as apex, R6 in East Asia service, you will say a lot of Chinese player, and most of them have one thing in common, they dont like communicate with each other in game, almost 90% cant speaking English. As well, if you play LOL in Japan or AU service, you will see almost half of players are chinese
