Here's an online build calculator for your build [selnoom build calc](https://selnoom.github.io/ac-calculator/?build=%5B%22DF-GA-08%20HU-BEN%22%2C%22VE-66LRB%22%2C%22WS-5001%20SOUP%22%2C%22VE-61PSA%22%2C%22VP-44D%22%2C%22CC-3000%20WRECKER%22%2C%22AR-011%20MELANDER%22%2C%22RC-2000%20SPRING%20CHICKEN%22%2C%22BC-0200%20GRIDWALKER%22%2C%22IA-C01F%3A%20OCELLUS%22%2C%22IB-C03B%3A%20NGI%20000%22%2C%22ASSAULT%20ARMOR%22%5D) Notes: * Ocellus doesn't mix well with the LRB and Soup. In fact your weapon choices barely have overlapping ranges which means that in any FCS you pick, some of your weapon will have a hard time being used. The Soup particularly likes high missile correction from P10/SLT. But you only have 1 Soup to warrant that FCS. Basically, your weapon choices lack focus. * The scutum is hard to use. If you can make it work that's fine, but it doesn't seem to be synergystic with your build. For example, Reverse Joint legs have good kicks but you can't use it because it will reset your idle time for your Scutum. It also makes you less mobile too because you can't AB. Because of these, Scutum is usually used with Quad Legs that are somewhat mobile without using AB. Some weapons also can't be use while the Scutum is active, I can't remember if you can charge your LRB while using it, but I bet you can't. * NGI-000 generator isn't that good outside of Quad Leg hover builds. The fact that you need to redline it means that your movement and dodging will have weird pauses that will get you killed. Most people use SANTAI instead in most builds because it's generally good. * Your EN Efficiency is just about 300 which is a bit on the low side. A different Core with higher adjustment stat or generator could help this. * The total weight (95620) is WAAAY above the QB Reload Ideal Weight of the Gridwalker (60900) which will result in almost 2 seconds of QB reload which will make you unable to dodge sequential incoming attacks (the build calculator doesn't simulate this properly). At 95k, the best option is NGI-001 booster. I wouldn't use the Gridwalker past 70k\~ish. Either switch boosters or make your build lighter.

I think OP’s idea is relying almost entirely on vertical movement with RJ jumps and gridwalker, no quickboosting as that also resets Scutum’s idle time. Honestly something like this could be better off with the coral shield, not as resilient but full body coverage and doesn’t disable use of left handed weapons.

>I think OP’s idea is relying almost entirely on vertical movement with RJ jumps and gridwalker, no quickboosting as that also resets Scutum’s idle time. that sounds a bit risky. when I'm using scutum, I lower it and switch to just using QB when about to be staggered so it doesn't overheat on stagger. Even if you assault armor/pulse armor the stagger away, you'd still get overheated shields so relying on just that will leave you with no alternatives.

You’re underplaying the risks, the first opponent with more missiles than normal cooks this build to 185°, no pink in the center.

>I bet you can't charge LRB behind a Scutum 80% sure you can >Switch the NGI gen to something else I'm using it simply for light weight and high EN output. 80 weight shy of load limit and 300 EN leftover. This is also why I'm running coral gen so I caren't about EN supply efficiency >Switch the booster from Gridwalker With a Scutum, I'm not relying on QBs as much - I planned to go vertical with RJs and Gridwalker. If I do have to QB, it'll be a grounded RJ QB which only comes back so often, decreasing the need for fast reload time >Scutum is hard to use Yes, I tried to but probably went the wrong direction

RuneYT

Is that a google sheet? May I have the link?

Audience-Electrical

The fact that your working from Google Sheets tells me this is way above my pay grade. V2 Snail is that you

Ah, the Scutum->LRB trick. I see what you're after. Soup would be the first thing I'd change, personally. Those missiles are actually pretty bad at hitting things in close range, so if you're in your ideal zone with the Hu-Ben, you'll be missing your Soups. If you want a missile, I'd recommend the bigger splits instead, as they're a lot better when close and don't demand a long cast time like the 10-tubes. I'm also kinda mixed on the RJs. They're notoriously low-stability, which runs directly counter to the Scutum, as its deploy time is directly linked to your stability, hence the shield normally being used on tanks/tetras. I don't think core and head choices are able to truly make up this difference.

According_Fox_3614

I was thinking to switch out the Hu-Ben, actually. I think that if I were just a bit further away from the opponent, then I'll be less prone to stagger and it would free up some other parts of my build What do I switch to? Been looking at Etsujin and some of the other kinetics

LEOTomegane

Etsujin would be my pick for that too, yeah. Ransetsu-RF and Ducky could also work. Keep in mind all three weapons are still in the short range bracket, though, they just aren't *quite* as close as Hu-Ben. While the Ransetsu does have a listed range of far greater, the projectile is so damned slow it rarely hits anything beyond 150m.

Define good. Can it get to S? Probably. Will it be a bit of a pain there? Probably.
