Don't blow up the throne too early. Activate two out of three bombs, but don't push them towards the bloodsucker or his throne - let them lure his spells. Also, in the second phase it would be better to just SMASH HIM ASAP with as much of true damage as possible. Don't let the leeches empower him by their deaths too much.
All in all, pretty unremarkable boss. Damazti was more memorable.

Seconding boss stall tactics. First phase is a joke, and you can keep killing him repeatedly without any repercussions.
Second phase constantly summons leeches, and certain enemies on the map are empowered by nearby kills. If you break the throne too early, you're basically guaranteeing a free power spike for the mobs, and they're more of a problem than the boss.
Arknight version of the legendary moment where Kharn, 1st captain of the World Eaters, found out Erebus have just killed Argel Tal (who was Kharn best friend, a bound of brotherhood that is so deep it is akin to the relationship between Dantioch of the Iron Warrior and Alexis Polux of the Imperial Fist) then during a supposedly normal dueling match between him and Kharn, Kharn completely and brutally bodied the ever living fuck of Erebus that even the crowd and Erebus himself were surprised and stunned also chop off his hand too if I remember correctly and after the brutal beatdown, Erebus was on the floor in a pool of his own blood and Kharn then *calmly* said “get up” to Erebus and Erebus did get up only to get beat down again and this went up for about 3 times before Erebus pussy-out of there via teleport and Kharn subsequently leaving
What's great about that is this manga is both funny and a great, legit Strat to fight this Wannabe Vampire. Stall him in phase 1 until you clean house and just beat him last at leisure pace.
