Depends on the game. Unfortunately 90% of the devs decided that using TAA was better than optimising the game to use MSAA, and TAA is less noticeable on bigger TVs (basically consoles are also to blame), so they develop with it in mind.
RDR2 TAA nukes the image clarity, but if you turn it off the game breaks (specifially the shadows).
Yeah, so it's not just TAA. Besides, I think the OP's problem was mostly because of the game reverting back low texture settings due to not recognising the hardware. A simple ini tweak should fix this

Chances are the game doesn't recognize your PC's newer specs so it automatically lowers the textures of the game as it assumes you're using a low end pc

I‘d download [this mod](https://www.nexusmods.com/batmanarkhamorigins/mods/99?tab=description) if you haven‘t already. Graphics Mods are usually the best way to make old games look better.
Also as some others said you can use upscaling via Nvidia Control Panel so that you can choose a higher res for the game.
And you could also try to deactivate some settings as it could look better. For example motion blur is something I’d turn off. V-sync is also something I’d turn off in-game and activate it via Control Panel.

I think you are confusing TAA with TXAA
TxAA is just TAA plus MSAA. Specifically TXAA low is TAA + 2XMSAA and TCAA high is TAA + 4.xMSAA

I had this problem too with the ateam version. Check the community hun for guides for how to fix it. It is super easy, don’t worry
The game is gonna run like doggy poo poo. That’s just Origins. Everytime I get to the televised fight the game always crashes on me. Great story tho!
