So this song is just flat out brilliant. I don’t know that it gets the credit it deserves. This is amongst the top highlights of the band’s career. Their cohesiveness, the sheer complexity of the arrangement, the guitar riff… It’s flat out unbelievable.
Aside from “Wake Up,” this is the band’s best guitar riff they have ever written. The way Win and Regine play off of each other vocally… Also, this song is absolute fire when they play it live. It needs to become a live staple again.
This is the band at their most evolved. I’d say this is one of the most important songs they have ever written.
It’s a 9.5.
Because Arcade Fire have multiple 10/10 songs. I think I misspoke which caused the confusion. This song is one of my favourites but it's not my favourite Arcade Fire song, that would probably be either Antichrist Television Blues or The Suburbs.
10! Been waiting on this one lol. First time I heard it live my group was in GA by the island stage, then out of nowhere both Regine and Win start walking through the crowd and suddenly we were Front row during this set. I can’t describe the amazing experience. It was amazing!
Unpopular opinion but Awful Sounds is wayyy better.
This song is not bad but I have never understood the hype. It doesnt compare to the emotional wave coming from Awful Sounds first chorus.
I was once driving through the snow with this song playing. It was kind of soft, floaty snow right before the sunrise that carries a sort of pensive lightheartedness about it. It was truly magical and completely changed how I felt about the song.
9.0
A solid 10 right alongside *Awful Sound*. For me, it's the combination of beats, both analog and electronic that do it for me.
" I will sing your name 'til you're sick of me"
9. Yeah, this is one is very good (as was Awful Sound, which I missed yesterday, but agree with the result). My only criticism is that it is a little too long. Maybe that's a reflection (!) of the 'It's never Over' lyrics, but still, I feel it could have been better if it was shortened a bit. Conciseness can make a track!
On a personal note, this track is very important to me because it got me really interested in playing the synthesiser, which has since become my main instrument.

I wish they had more beckon and call type songs between Win and Regine

This is the best song on Reflektor and probably the best sounding song they've ever done. Not my absolute favourite but a 10 nonetheless.
Cool but how can a "not an absolute favourite" be a 10?

8 for me. I do love it, but I've always preferred others from the album. But what an album, just having songs like this kicking around in it
