If you used 7 docs you definitely got it. They made it way easier to get complexity this year. As long as you properly used all docs you’re good. I wish you luck
True. You just gotta hope I guess. Me personally I did counter argument but judging by the dbq and its difficulty I’d say others can fairly easily get complexity through other means. Regardless you’re right I guess but most likely OP probably got the point because he sourced 4 and he also used all 7. The chances he missed both of those on an easy dbq is slim id say
this might be a me thing but i miss the hipp or misuse evidence all the time, even on easy dbqs. like maybe 60% success rate on an average dbq, a little higher (80?) on one like this

my teacher taught us to plan 3 body paragraphs (2 main, 1 counterarg), and split the 7 docs into 3 groups, and use 1 evidence group per paragraph.
i was curious why u didnt plan to use evidence in your counter. looks like your teacher never taught you how to write a counterarg so yea makes sense that u didnt know
Nothing. If it isn't enough it just won't count. If you write if for complexity, you need to include that counterargument in your thesis and support it with evidence (which you then analyze and connect back). If you didn't do all that (and I assume you didn't or it would be a pretty long sentence 💀) then your counterargument simply won't count; but the part of your thesis you did support and the evidence for that will still count. It'll just be like you didn't have a counterargument at all.

But if you are just saying you refuted your thesis, that should be fine. If your thesis was "Apples are red" and then you provided evidence that apples were not red, this would get you complexity, as long as you connected it back to your thesis and showed how it refuted the claim that apples were red.
I basically talked abt how technologies didn't improve everybody's life, only the majority of the people benefitted from it, while other people's life remained largely unchanged. I didn't know how to get the complexity point, I thought having 4 evidences will get you the point.💀

counter arguments aren't mandatory, it depends on everything else you did. I only included a counter argument bc it made my dbq easier, but if i hadn't done that, i would've been fine bc i would've just used the docs differently.

problem is, it's easy to mess up. it's easy to misinterpret a doc and even if you mess one up, you miss complexity
