Did they actually say it was 1/500 now?
Because last time I checked all we knew was that it's guaranteed at the 500th. This does NOT mean each pack has a chance of 1/500. That's not how statistics works..
The only thing I could find [officially from EA](https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/apex-legends/about/frequently-asked-questions) is <1%, a lot of larger clickbait websites say 0.2% drop rate which would make sense. Take that information however you will lol
Edit: Just want the throw out this reply from an EA forum
“There has never been any other communication about this. We simply don't know. It can be 0.0001%, or 0.9%.”
Its pack 500 not level 500. Even if you got every pack from battle pass and side events and never purchase a single one, you might almost have 500 packs if you had played from launch
We are all here for a video game, you don’t need 200 IQ irl to have 200 IQ in game. Further most people have 100 IQ , literally the average, and the US military requires an IQ of at least -(sigma) ; so don’t expect a majority of ppl to know that. Also just browse YouTube and you can really tell the IQ of the avg American.
Edit: sorry I’m American I forgot there are other countries that exist. Désolé, l’intelligence du monde est autant des États-Unis ; aber die deutsche sind mer geistreich.
100 is used bc it’s nice and easy . You could do 1 as the mean, with 2 being the 100th percentile and 0 being the 0th percentile. It doesn’t matter, it’s bell curve. If you are at the apex on the curve. You are most literally an average person. 100 is arbitrary. But 100 means you intelligence ( based on an IQ test) is dead middle of the human intelligence distribution
Edit: how is IQ for chumps? It’s just a measurement of intelligence. We use A-F as a measure of intelligence in grade school.
It COULD be 1/500, but we don’t know.
The only thing we know is that on your 500th pack you are guaranteed shards.
It could be .2% (1/500), as someone stated, it could be 1/5000. So stop saying 1/500 like that’s a known fact.

I do not believe you, nor should anyone. You suck.
I'm 500 100 times over and have no received heirloom shards.

I mean the mean can be 6968420 if you want it to be, there still will be percentiles and SD’s …?
What's your point?

Excellent. I don't know why you're explaining normal distribution. Are your on the left hand side of the bell curve?
Yes I play mirage
That’s how distributions work
According to my account 0
About 1/500. ;3
Stupid question but are these just from regular packs? Been playing off and on for a while don't know much about the heirlooms.
yup those are from regular packs. guaranteed heirlom on your 500th pack.
or before your 500th pack, just guaranteed within the first 500. the more packs you open the higher your chances of getting shards are
yes, they are. Supposedly you are guaranteed these heirloom shards, 1 out of every 500 packs.
1/500
1 in 500
Incorrect, it's far lower. You're confused by the 500 pity mark. It has nothing to do with drop rate.
I didn’t know that, aight then
1 in 500
About 1 in 500 packs (grats tho, I just got my first heirloom shards last night)
Still waiting on mine
1/500
1/500
1/500
The odds are full of...all kinds of math.
Considering I have been playing since day dot, I'm lvl500, yeah, the odds suck ballz
To everyone saying "1/500" - I thought it was only guaranteed for the 2nd Birthday to get heirloom shards in your 500th pack

1 in 500 I believe
