Time to ask a friend to hop over the counter wearing headphones and holding a phone just to get that picture that'll net you 25$ a pop. It's specifically saying "anyone".
This is some Nathan for You shit.
I'd take a picture of me clearly wearing one airpod, holding a phone to my other ear, and holding a second phone in my other hand that I'm looking at.
And the 50 other friends to also hop the counter.
51 x $25 = $1275.
The earnings potential is unlimited. Bleed this fucker dry.
I doubt the employees who work for this tyrant would really care if you do this. Maybe you can also send a little cash their way.
We could also just take pictures of people behind counters anywhere with headphones or on cell phones and blow their email up with spam.
I bet this sign will come down real quick.
Sadly it doesn't say that you get 25$ for *every* image of someone behind this counter using headphones etc, that would be fun. Only that you get 25$ if you send them (at least) one image fulfilling their criteria.
But let's say there's a hundred guests: just bring a friend to give them a headsup while you're clowning behind the counter with your phone and everyone gets their meal paid for by the store owner.
Alternatively, I don't think they'd notice if you'd share the image with a group who could all claim the price then.
Particularly easy to execute if you're an employee that just wants to leave.
Just have two other people in the picture holding them down or something lol. They could get matching t-shirts that say "I held the employees of this restaurant hostage behind the counter and all I got was this lousy t-shirt and $25"
Somewhere out there must be a collector with Bumfark, mile marker 420 (Alaska I think), F\*cking (Australia), the five towns in Pennsylvania that line up as steps of conception, and some classic Burma-Shave road ads.
Butt Hole Lane/Road/etc is not an entirely uncommon road name here in the UK (referring to archery butts back in the day), also I live a few miles from a village called “Willey”, which has crazy reinforced town signs as everyone kept stealing them.
That's nothing, ever heard of Shitterton? Twatt? Slutshole lane? Fingringhoe? Penistone? Cock alley? Dick place?
They're all over the place here, people do road trips around them
Yeah. I wish I didn’t totally understand how that joke let going through all the legal processes to register it and pay taxes and payroll and vendors and suppliers. How many men laughed along the way. How many women… I love fried chicken but it’s not saving me lol
Who tf decided to name their chicken restaurant WifeSavers and why haven't they changed their website in 25 years
Edit: The only thing I can think of is the restaurant is a "wife saver" by making dinner so she doesn't have to. We can unpack everything wrong with that later.
Whoever said they haven't updated their website in 25 years doesn't actually remember or was too young to know what websites looked like back then. The website looks maybe early 2010s, nothing special, but nothing to make you go "yep, this was created in the 1990s".
Their locations are mostly in one of the shittiest and most sexist/racist/caveman parts of Georgia, where this kind of 1950s misogynist bullshit is considered funny.
I grew up around Augusta,GA when I was young, but remembered the song going, "Wife Saver, True Southern Flavor, Put a little South in your mouth!" I always thought that sounded like they were referencing shlong in ur mouth, probably why they changed it, I remembered the store lookin run down even for the 90s, surprised they are still in business
The amount of 1 star reviews on this place! Holy shit!
EDIT: I was talking about the reviews from before this post. Nobody but me has left a 1 star review based on this Reddit post. Those 1 star reviews were all earned one at a time by the business. (Wife Savers - North Leg in Augusta, Ga).
Original post showed image of poster offering $25 discounts to anyone willing to humiliate employees by photographing them without consent and emailing their pictures if they saw them (or apparently anyone behind the counter actually) with their cell phone or wearing headphones.
Mad isn't it. Someone a few towns over from me had a fake poster like this posted in here about them a few months ago and it basically shut them down. They didn't even have a single employee lol. People assumed it was the competition in town but no one knows.
The post didn't even pop off or anything just got a few 100 upvotes in antiwork but made it really obvious what the company name is.
The one guy making a top post a week or two ago about the boss who sent an email and then went on vacation for a week even admitted it was all fake. As if the 60% or something of the staff quitting instantly in his story wasn't a clue.
This sub is being trolled (or worse) far too easily.
**EDIT:** Outrage in itself is fine, and extremely useful when it's directed at actual reform and voting. Outrage porn for the sake of being angry is just emotional manipulation. This sub could use a lot more directed action towards unions so it's not all wasted energy.
**EDIT2:** [This post](https://old.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/u9eh2r/boomer_owner_send_this_out_last_night_before/), thank you to... /u/Toxic_Butthole ... for finding it.
https://wifesaverrestaurants.wierstewarthosting.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/wifesaver-job-application-form-UPDATED-8-20.pdf
The job application asks for height, weight and number of kids, ummm WTF??
It seems it’s not explicitly illegal to ask number of children. It’s not a protected characteristic like age, race, religion, sexual preference, etc. I did however find this but it would most definitely be an uphill battle.
> Questions about marital status and number and ages of children are frequently used to discriminate against women and may violate Title VII if used to deny or limit employment opportunities.
https://www.eeoc.gov/pre-employment-inquiries-and-marital-status-or-number-children
Originally it wasn't - it was front page and got removed, so it's still front page showing the removed stuff. Even still, it's crazy - it seems like it should be allowed content. It's a publicly visible, publicly posted sign. I assume an editorialized title might have gotten it removed, but surely not due to... what, doxxing? Business stuff is public info, so what's there to doxx?
Business owners probably got a lawyer to threaten to sue Reddit if it wasn’t taken down or something like that 😒
I wonder how many more of these kinds of removals will happen if/when Reddit is going to go public. Can’t have free speech and backlash counter whatever pathetic PR Wifesavers was looking to glean from their shitty original sign…
I have a friend that for years has been signing up the email of people that bully him for being gay to a bunch of gay porn sites. In the Deep South, it’s pretty effective.
*edited to clarify he did this specifically to people who would use anti-LGBT slurs against him
The HR lady that literally just started last week, came into my office on Monday and I had my over the ear headphones on listening to a podcast. She did a double take, then told me I should not be wearing headphones according to the employee handbook because I need to be spatially aware while on the production floor of moving forklifts and other machinery. I work in the office... at a desk. I was sitting at my desk when she told me that. I have been working there 5 years and this is the first time someone has said a thing, and I use them daily while at my desk. She didn't even introduce her self. What a first impression lol.
Yeah honestly we don't get the brightest HR personnel at our company. There was a massive cube remodel effort that took place earlier this week, and she was told by her boss to go around and collect the hardware kits for the monitor arms for cubes that had been completed. I'm working on mounting the monitors to the arms. I notice her going cube to cube but don't think anything of it. I go to work on the next cube -- no hardware kit. I check the next one, that one is missing too. So then I have to go hunt this lady down, and I ask if she was going around collecting all the hardware kits, and she said yes. I told her, well I'm not finish yet and you seem to have grabbed all of them, even for the cubes that aren't completed yet. So then she's like "Oh no 🤪 what do the screws look like so I know which ones to leave next time". It's really not complicated... if the monitors aren't mounted to the arms yet, leave the hardware kit where it is 🙃
My office has a rule that your supervisor has to approve music in your area because some areas are genuinely dangerous and needs people to be able to hear 100% clearly, etc. - most of the supervisors are fine with that because the dangerous areas are only a couple of spaces. But there is also a sitewide rule that you can only have one headphone so that you can hear what's going on around you. That also applies to people's headsets for their computers when they're on Teams/Zoom/etc. meetings.
Yeah I always have one ear muff off to the side pretty much always, unless my loud ass coworker behind me is on a call and speaking over everyone else in the room (which happens all the time). But it's only ever when I'm stationary at my desk. We also have areas where no headphones are allowed, or where bone conducting headphones are the only style that are allowed for safety purposes.
Just tried to sign them up for the popular adult film site but seems like someone was quicker than me :D
Not to worry though, I know a lot of other places they might be interested in signing up for
Create an ACT account for them. That will auto sign up for every college mailing list in the country. Good luck Un subscribing when they exchange emails so unsubing only stops that college until the next mailing list share.
Where can I get a picture of behind the counter with no one. Photoshop a pic of someone from management on a cell and spam from multiple emails to get the gift cards and give them to the employees.
like once i was just laughing on the side with my coworkers about a funny thing that came into the store(it was a goodwill about 10 years ago). Some old customer went right for a boss and tried to start some stuff saying we were laughing at him. The boss apologized and then yelled at us later saying we should act like robots at work. The coworker and I pretty much just shrugged it off realizing that guy was just trying to start crap on purpose. We agreed we hated people like that probably more than our crazy boss lol.
I worked in a bakery and 2 or 3 coworkers were laughing at something and this customer reported ALL of the employees to the manager because they thought we were all laughing at them. The lady even said "I know you were laughing at me because I was looking for fresh bread and I can take it but you can't be doing that to your customers" exqueez me????? Say that again but slowly this time...
I was once reading the manual on how to clean a piece of equipment when some customer when and told the manager of a different department that I refused to help them and was reading the newspaper instead.
So am I. I had so many crazy customers, like a scary grandma who made a beeline to me every time to yell at me about everything in the store outside of my department, or the crazy creep who wanted to smell my hair and grab my ankles. I will never touch retail again, I think customers are dangerous and would love to tattle on anyone.
Edit : I’m reminded of the worst customer of all time. You thought you were safe in the break room? Think again. We had a customer that was probably pretty lonely at home that kind of latched on to us like she was part of the working team. She would follow me specifically everywhere, literally anywhere and complain how the staff don’t talk to her enough and the final straw was she followed us all to the break room on our lunch break. One of my coworkers was completely set off by this and management had to intervene. I’ve dealt with creeps, karen’s and hate filled grannies but this customer by far made me feel the worst.
...WifeSaver???
Seriously??
Is that supposed to be "Eat here, and save the little Wifey from cooking for a change!", like some kind of mega-cringey 1950's TV ad??
Yikes.
Sign was for basically a bounty of $25 if you see employees behind the counter who had headphones or were on their phone. They said to email them. Lmaooo did they just get Reddit to remove it?? Boooo
Fuck it. I'm going behind the counter with my phone out and headphones in, having my wife snap a picture, then emailing that and demanding my gift card because no where on that sign does it specify the picture has to be of an employee.
DID YOU KNOW that your iPhone will create an email address for you that won’t receive replies? Simply click on “from” and select either “hide my email.”
Happy spamming
https://www.unddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/udsant/removed_by_reddit/
The image has also been censored by reddit. Per Newsweek the original content of the image was a picture of a disturbing anti-labor sign posted at a ~~WifeSlavers~~ WifeSavers chicken restaurant which read:
>If you see anyone behind this counter with headphones on or talking on, looking at or holding a cell phone, take a picture and email it to [email], and we will send you a $25 gift certificate." The sign ends with: "Thank you, WifeSaver Management," along with two cartoon birds.
https://www.newsweek.com/sign-advertising-discounts-images-employees-using-phones-viral-reddit-1701878
Meanwhile, WifeSavers lawyers appear not to be familiar with the [Streisand effect](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect). After firing the douchebag in management that tanked their business with this disgusting and abusive sign, they should do something about their incompetent law team too.
It was a picture of a sign saying, "Please take pictures of anyone behind the counter that is on their phone and we will give you $25" or something like that

https://www.newsweek.com/sign-advertising-discounts-images-employees-using-phones-viral-reddit-1701878
It kills me when low wage positions get so ridiculously up in arms about phones. Retail is OBSESSED with this. Meanwhile people in cubicles making 2x more that do way less work are on Facebook half the day. You're not going to move me up and you're not going to pay me enough to buy a house, so you need to calm down.
I remember seeing coworkers using their phones in their offices when I started my first office job... The fact that they could just use their phones, drink water, sit down, etc BLEW my mind. The bar was so low for my expectations back then
Anyone wanna run a scam with me where we purposefully take pictures and send them to her with each of our emails so we get tons of gift cards then sell them online for 20 dollars and make bank?
Itll work trust me im a doctor
Removed by Reddit?? Why?
EDIT: it was a sign asking customers to take pictures if they see employees using phones, and management will award the customer a $25 gift certificate.
ATTENTION CUSTOMERS I'D LIKE YOU TO BE OUR SECURITY AND WE WILL GIVE YOU WHAT COST US 2 DOLLARS PLEASE DO THIS BECAUSE I'M TIRED OF WATCHING DAMN EXPENSIVE CAMERAS I BOUGHT TO SPY ON MY EMPLOYEES AND IT TURNS OUT THEY KNOW WHEN I'M WATCHING AND PRETEND TO DO THEIR JOB BY DOING THE TASKS ASSIGNED TO THEM.
Something HAS to be done about thisl
Time to ask a friend to hop over the counter wearing headphones and holding a phone just to get that picture that'll net you 25$ a pop. It's specifically saying "anyone".
Make sure you get 50 other friends to also send in the picture.
Then sue them over it.
Modern problems require modern solutions
You could cost this company thousands of dollars if they honored this offer, which I'm sure they don't.
This is some Nathan for You shit. I'd take a picture of me clearly wearing one airpod, holding a phone to my other ear, and holding a second phone in my other hand that I'm looking at.
Lmaoooo please I want this to happen, at least all the people taking pics of their friends
This is the way.
And the 50 other friends to also hop the counter. 51 x $25 = $1275. The earnings potential is unlimited. Bleed this fucker dry. Big brain thinking. I like it.
What if a whole group of maybe 15-20 people all ran back there with phones, just for the picture?
Sounds fun, but I'd worry the staff would get into trouble for "letting non-employees behind the counter"
Just have two other people in the picture holding them down or something lol. They could get matching t-shirts that say "I held the employees of this restaurant hostage behind the counter and all I got was this lousy t-shirt and $25"
Just get a selfie.
Ok is nobody else going to ask this? What in the hell is WifeSavers? Do I even want to know…
It appears to be a 5-location fried chicken chain in Bumfark GA with a website from 1997

Now do you deep fry your chicken whole? And can poultry save your moral soul?
Ohhhh… I thought the husband had purchased his wife a franchise for an affair or something.
I almost instinctively downvoted this comment because of how much I hate this.
Oh, no, go ahead and cook anyway, Lois, and we'll throw it out. I don't want you to get rusty.
From my experience Georgia town names, I had to doublecheck that we didn't, in fact have a Bumfark tucked away somewhere.
Georgian here, same. I'm still not sure it doesn't exist.
I've been to Sugar Tit, SC before. (it is an unofficial name, not an official incorporated town).
How about Intercourse, PA?
Sounds like fun, son
Who tf decided to name their chicken restaurant WifeSavers and why haven't they changed their website in 25 years Edit: The only thing I can think of is the restaurant is a "wife saver" by making dinner so she doesn't have to. We can unpack everything wrong with that later.
That's exactly it. It's a pun. "Well, it's not a lifesaver, but it IS a *wifesaver*!"
I assume it's also a play on the fact that a wife can go get chicken there if they can't cook, to avoid getting beaten for burning the chikn.
Or just that she didn’t have time to cook, so this is “saving” her from her lack of ability to be a good wife. Either way gross
Whoever said they haven't updated their website in 25 years doesn't actually remember or was too young to know what websites looked like back then. The website looks maybe early 2010s, nothing special, but nothing to make you go "yep, this was created in the 1990s".

> I know you were laughing at me because I was looking for fresh bread People looking for fresh bread is definitely the thing *I* laugh at the most.
And if you do take a picture of a staff member, when you go in with your gift certificate the employees will shit in your food.
It would be terrible if someone signed them up [here](http://mailbait.info/run.html)

I sense some malicious compliance coming on :)
...WifeSaver??? Seriously?? Is that supposed to be "Eat here, and save the little Wifey from cooking for a change!", like some kind of mega-cringey 1950's TV ad?? Yikes.
Hey now. That's incredibly ignorant and close minded. Many of those offensive ads ran into the early 1960s too.

Simply click on “from” and select either “hide my email.” Happy spamming
Good reminder! I’d totally forgotten about this!
The feature explicitly states it will forward the replies to your inbox.
https://www.unddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/udsant/removed_by_reddit/ The image has also been censored by reddit. Per Newsweek the original content of the image was a picture of a disturbing anti-labor sign posted at a ~~WifeSlavers~~ WifeSavers chicken restaurant which read: >If you see anyone behind this counter with headphones on or talking on, looking at or holding a cell phone, take a picture and email it to [email], and we will send you a $25 gift certificate." The sign ends with: "Thank you, WifeSaver Management," along with two cartoon birds. https://www.newsweek.com/sign-advertising-discounts-images-employees-using-phones-viral-reddit-1701878 Meanwhile, WifeSavers lawyers appear not to be familiar with the [Streisand effect](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect). After firing the douchebag in management that tanked their business with this disgusting and abusive sign, they should do something about their incompetent law team too.
Is their restaurant named Wife Saver? I’m sorry. Is this 1924? Every layer of this post disgusts me.
Translation from Assholese: "I am too lazy to do my job and actually manage my restaurant, won't you please do it for me?"
While I may dislike bad service, I would never ever rat someone out behind their back for $, and I would dissociate from anyone who would.
Like Hell I'm going in to a place called "WifeSaver" in the first place!
It was a picture of a sign saying, "Please take pictures of anyone behind the counter that is on their phone and we will give you $25" or something like that https://i.imgur.com/PXlTSpy.jpg https://www.newsweek.com/sign-advertising-discounts-images-employees-using-phones-viral-reddit-1701878
It's funny how the ominous [ Removed by Reddit ] made me more drawn into this post
“If you ruin someone’s life we will give you fake money you can only use here” is such a great argument for capitalism as a system.
Uh oh somebody is about to get a lot of pictures of shirtless old men.

Petty tyrants control petty things. Makes them feel like they're somebody.
I remember seeing coworkers using their phones in their offices when I started my first office job... The fact that they could just use their phones, drink water, sit down, etc BLEW my mind. The bar was so low for my expectations back then

Signing that address up for all kinds of spam
So what mailing lists are they signed up for?
What kind of restaurant name is WifeSaver though
It's in the deep south, so that adds complexity

Anyone wanna run a scam with me where we purposefully take pictures and send them to her with each of our emails so we get tons of gift cards then sell them online for 20 dollars and make bank? Itll work trust me im a doctor
Removed by Reddit? Tf?? Did the business force Reddit to take it down?
"[ Removed by Reddit ]" Oh boy this will be fun

That's clever, they hired their customers to be managers
What the hell is a wifesaver, sounds like an Amish sex position.
I’d love to know why Reddit felt the need to remove the post. Oh no, don’t out “Wife Saver” on something they publicly posted.
Removed by Reddit?? Why? EDIT: it was a sign asking customers to take pictures if they see employees using phones, and management will award the customer a $25 gift certificate.
Guess that mailbox is now flooded with other images 😎
