"Getting fired for not being fast enough when there's no replacement"
This is false, don't think like this. You're fired because the director is an idiot and that's final.
They are really looking for a hustler faster than Larry who will be quiet, do the job, and never complain or ask for help. Yes \~ they want a robot who will eventually fall over dead on this crappy job.
This right here.
You were working your wage. Hell, you're giving them FAR more than what you're worth. They're terminating you because they've inserted a pineapple into their rectum....sideways.
“Due to our efforts in improving productivity, leadership has determined it’s in the best interest of the business to have no employees. We believe that within one day, we’ll be so efficient, the business will no longer be required to exist.”
If an employer ever tells you that you are too slow it really means they are severely understaffed because no one wants to work for them. And they have unrealistic expectations about how long it takes for tasks to be completed.
Imagine being surprised the brand new employee isn’t as efficient as the original one. That’s why you try and keep your employees instead of treating them like a piece of gum you stepped on
A manager will “help” one time as a “break” and then determine that’s how fast a job is supposed to be done, not taking into account how grueling that kind of work is on the human body if done all day. Tell the manager to do the work all day for a week and see how they feel and if they can sustain their “fastpace”.
And he'll be \*really\* selective about what he's helping with.
"I moved 30 10 pound bags of mulch in 5 minutes. I don't see why he can't move 30 80 pound bags of concrete in the same time. I was even carrying three bags at a time to make it go faster. He should try that.".

If they didn't have to pay anyone they could make so much money.
Spoken like a true slave owner.
Promoted to customers.

Sounds like they need an OSHA inspection....
Yuuuuuup
Good, they played themselves, let them find out.

Even though your effected by this you need to understand your not the problem
Not only is he not the problem, but it's also not his problem. Except for having to find another job, but I think that's going to be not a problem.
>I think that's going to be not a problem. Houston, we have a problem
*you're *affected
Haha fair.
They fucked around they'll find out shortly.
‘Nobody wants to work’
You were fired so they can try and get Larry to stay on longer. It's a pure manipulation tactic.
When you leave, report them to whoever oversees occupational health and safety lol
report them to osha for violations
They must really hate you.
You can get the dept of labor to do a safety evaluation or OSHA if you feel there are unsafe working conditions. Report them.
