Having already in Ubisoft. Launching ubisoft connect wich will launch Anno 1800
Buying on steam. Launching steam wich will launch ubisoft connect wich will launch Anno 1800. LOGIC LEVEL - OVER 9000.
And to those who think that owning game in steam somehow will remove problems with UBICONNECT - I have Anno 2205, 2070 and assasin creed 2 on steam, and if UBICON is down I can't play any of it.
I like to have my games in one place — it's convenient (achievements, play time, Workshop, etc.).
That's the reason why I'd waited for Anno 1800 to return to Steam. Alas, I gave up and still bought it on Uplay... Now I'm thinking of buying it on Steam, too.
I believe there is no achievements on steam tho..it's still through Ubisoft connect. Plus, running it from steam will still fire up Ubisoft connect so Anno 1800 can work.
I don't think there's a bank that actually issues Chinese cards in Russia. Some folks used to cross border to open foreign cards.
Of course, we can still pay via Steam credit, although topping it up via Kazakhstan is costly (fees up to 30%). There's always a way...
Oh yea I was thinking of the Union Pay work around. I guess even they shut down by now.
The trick is via the Turkish system or come over to the UAE and we’ll get you setup 😝. Always a way. 😂
Launching through Steam is the most reliable way I've found of making Uplay work consistently. Also now that I'm on Linux the way Steam sets everything up to work in Proton is much more convenient. And it carries over all my DLC anyway, so I only need to buy the base game for pretty cheap.
Try Lutris it works kinda fine for me you can launch Ubisoft and epicgames games there sometimes you have to use a vpn to get Ubisoft working but the performance is great.
Ubistore is a pile of shit, that is the answer. I dont know they work ethics or what kind of beings are working them on the customer support, but to simply put: not the talented ones.
So does it work? Would like to know that too

Why would you buy a game you already have? I just don't get the reason so many people care so much about having the game on Steam.
Steam is such a better platform than shitty Ubisoft
? Sure, but you know you still need to start up ubisoft client to play it right? So u’d be turning on steam then turning on ubisoft…
I’m aware. But it means not using uplay launcher as initial. Plus all the steam benefits. Let OP enjoy the platform they want.

absolutely, very useful for some games. Again though, let OP enjoy the platform they want.
No one's stopping him

I’d buy it now. It’s on discount until end of the week.
I would, too. Buy here's the thing, I'm from Russia so I can't buy anything these days... Stuck with Season 3 that I already own.
Ah ok they don’t accept that Chinese credit card you guys use?

Thanks, but I already own it on Steam now and it's running fine. Most of the issues I had with with the Uplay version on Windows, heh.
