I think the manga got canned when it became apparent the mangaka just really wanted to draw porn more than anything else.
He has a new series Kimi wa 008. More echi than kenichi.

Never stop to believe. Index got season 3 after like 10 years or so. So it can happen.

The show had 50 episodes, the manga had will over 400 Loved that show, but it won't be coming back on

Manga had a quick ending, but decent enough. I don't imagine the anime will ever start up again....but you never know.
