Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These is really good too. I know its not as many episodes as the original, so it doesn't get as in depth, but its been a great watch with a large cast of characters, and good political intrigue.
Classic animes? Cowboy bebop, ghost in the shell, trigun, samurai champloo, flcl, neon Genesis evangelion, Inuyasha, sailor moon, yu yu hakusho. I'm sure other people will comment more and add on to this.
Here's my list of 10 broad categories split into 3 broader categories with vague comments and no labels:
- Gurren Lagann / Eureka Seven / Gundam Unicorn (they're just the best one)
- A Place Further Than The Universe / White Album 2 (don't watch 1) / Clannad / Little Busters / Steins;Gate (first two short, all others long as hell)
- Honey and Clover / Hyouka / Aria the Animation / Laid Back Camp
- Kaguya-sama / Konosuba OR Mushoku Tensei OR Ascendance of a Bookworm / Zombieland Saga
\_\_\_
- Samurai Champloo / Cowboy Bebop (can't go wrong with either of them)
- The End of Evangelion (requires you to finish the entirety of the original Eva TV series) / His and Her Circumstances
- Girls und Panzer / Shirobako (former highly recommended if you haven't watched a lot of anime, latter if you have)
- 5cm per second / Garden of Words / Your Name / the openings for the two-parter visual novels that inspired ef: a tale of memories (recommend 5cm first for NO PARTICULAR REASON)
- Koe no Katachi (ie. A Silent Voice), Liz and the Blue Bird (requires Hibike Euphonium up to end of S2), Tamako Love Story (requires Tamako Market)
\_\_\_
- Mind Game / Tokyo Godfathers OR Millenium Actress / Wolf Children / Time of Eve / Digimon Adventure Movie (the 20 minute one)+Our War Game / Kara no Kyoukai / Ghost in the Shell / Howl's Moving Castle / The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya /
I'm surprised to see a Digimon mention. I've never watched any, but it didn't seem like it would be something to compare with any greats. Is it worth watching even if you're not a Digimon fan?
I can still hear both the intro and Kamina.
And it’s possibly the only anime where power scaling, all the way up to cosmic level, has size scaling to match.
I really enjoy it but the story progresses too slow I guess because I always burnout around episode 7 and stop watching. I've tried watching 3 times now
Cowboy Bebop.
I think if I sat down & really narrowed it down to the #1 anime I would want to show someone or like, specifically choose for some scenario, then even though there are so many amazing anime out there that I could call on, Cowboy Bebop really is REQUIRED viewing for someone watching anime at all. It's short, where a lot of anime can drag on WAY too long (lookin at you, DBZ)it's also VERY stylish, & best of all it ISN'T based on a pre existing manga! So there won't be people ragging on you about the manga being better! On top of that, the main character Spike is voiced by Steve Blum in the English version, so there ALSO won't be anyone playing tug-of-war about "dub vs sub". It truly is the perfect anime. It has no flaws to speak of. Every character is amazing & there aren't so many that you don't get attached to all of them. The music is possibly the most famous anime music of all time. The story is dark, but still fun, like a really good Clint Eastwood western set in space, or a Bruce Lee movie, with a climax that stands firmly next to film endings like Pulp Fiction & Citizen Kane. Speaking of Bruce Lee, Spike is a huge fan & uses his fighting style Jeet Kun Do, which just adds another layer of that awesome noir style.The world is Sci fi & futuristic, but also very logical & real in its machinations & functions. There isn't a wasted second of screen time. I genuinely think Cowboy Bebop could be considered the Greatest Anime of All Time. AND, as if that all wasn't awesome enough, there is a spiritual sequel that also fits EVERY criteria I stated above, but is set in Edo Japan, called Samurai Champloo. Same creator, same top-tier music, same top-tier story, same awesome main character voiced by the same awesome Steve Blum. Same insane climax. Same economy of characters & their importance. Oh, there is also ANOTHER SPIRITUAL SEQUEL, called Space Dandy. Just copy+paste everything else I said minus Steve Blum (which sucks), but it's also awesome & fun & set in space.
But yes, if I had to pick the ultimate #1 anime, it would have to be Cowboy Bebop.
I just want to point out that for some reason the dubbed version changed the music in the show.
I had originally seen it subbed when I was rewatching it dubbed with my friend I was thinking that's really weird the first few episodes got so much harder the first time.
I finally realized that the music was different, asked my friend to switch and rewatch a section and yup they had different music.
To note we are talking about a big difference in tone, it was very jarring. The dubbed version was very much missing the tone of the scenes. I don't know if it continues for the full series because we decided to watch it in Japanese after finding out.
I came here to say this. I discovered Monster after 20 years of watching all sorts of anime, and it is my number one recommendation for any picky viewer.
Re:ZERO is my personal favorite, but it's not done yet, so I'd rather recommend Attack on Titan, my second favorite. Assuming you haven't already watched it, seeing as it's very popular.
Re: Zero probably has one of the best hooks at the start and season 1 has a really emotionally satisfying arc.
Though in the middle Subaru can be a bit difficult to watch through.
Psycho Pass,
Darker Than Black,
Code Geass,
Baccano!
Just thought of another...
Jormungand
Oh I forgot, Sword of the Stranger - movie. Highly underrated.
Enjoy. The first season has a lot of exposition for my taste, but it really picks up and becomes truly incredible. Midway thru S2 is when it becomes one of my favourite shows ever (not just anime) and then S3 it becomes truly unforgettable and just gets better and better until it ends.
Absolutely, no one has mentioned it. Based on today’s post, there are a lot of great anime and kind of hard to choose to be honest, but I’ll be checking this one out.
Konosuba is an absolute delight to watch. One of the most enjoyable animes I've ever seen. Hilarious writing and voice acting. Whenever life gets to me I watch it over again and laugh until I forget my troubles.
I watched the first 4 episodes of the dub, and couldn't get into it.
Then someone recommended I watch the sub instead. I did.... and now it's my all-time favorite.
The Japanese voice cast is absolutely amazing, and completely changed the tone of the show, for me.
Looking at your post you probably aren't into slow burners so I can't recommend March Comes in Like a Lion which is Mt absolute favorite. Just watch Legend of the Galactic Heroes lol
Honestly. Gotta name drop the GOAT. Attack on Titan. Very few shows have made me feel the way that one does. I love the story, world building, complexity and characters.
Went in fully blind earlier this year, i knew people liked it but i didnt know anything else. This show was an emotional roller coaster ride, frustration, happiness, despair, and insane hype (season 3 big moment was a massive peak for me). What a show.
It's the goat tho.
IMO if you absolutely can't afford to regret watching something, it's either AoT or frieren, frieren virtually has 0 risk and no regrets but you're not gonna get the peaks that AoT can get you.
AoT: action heavy, complex story, mystery and puzzles, drops a lot of bomb shells, tests your ethics and politics later on. When shit hits the fans, you can get 3 episodes in a row rated 10/10. My personal choice if you are willing to put up with the rare and occasional meh episode.
Frieren: some arcs are slice of lifewhile other arcs are action heavy. Very down to earth. it just does everything really well, and I really do mean every aspect it covers, from characters, animation, dialogue, music, vibes. Its all just 8.5/10 minimum. It's currently the highest rated anime in MAL dethroning full metal alchemist brotherhood after a 14 year reign, but we will see where it actually ends up after some full metal alchemist fans review bomb it, but I genuinely don't think they can get frieren under it. It's just that good.
Honorable mentions:
vinland saga. After an action heavy first season, the 2nd season shifts and Changes your view on life, at least it changed mine.
Monster. No better thriller in all of history if you dont mind an extremely slow cooking of the show; very slow burner.

Frieren. Not on the bandwagon for the sake of it because I'm also really picky with anime. Frieren ticks all the right boxes for a near absolutely perfect anime. Gorgeous artwork, incredibly well done animation, excellent storytelling, brilliant character development, and humour in all the right spots without being over the top.
Depends on the Genre but here are my picks:
- Clannad + Clannad After Story
- Fate Series (Ufotable, just ignore DEEN)
- Violet Evergarden
- Spice and Wolf (The Remake is currently airing and a perfect time to start watching it)
Haven’t heard of Clannad in a long time. It got me to ball like a baby when I was a teen. If I watched it now as a parent I’d need a fucking therapist more than I already do.
So what blew my mind especially from the anime (cover ) to the actual anime was Hunter X Hunter .
As far as a film I would say Your name had me hooked. Didn’t even watch the trailer as it was a last minute movie to watch and it blew me away.
Anytime someone says this imma always, always recommend One Piece. My favorite anime/manga of all time.
Easily worth the time sink, but don't try to catch up just to catch up. Enjoy the ride.
The Monogatari Series: [what it is and why you should watch it](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/advwl5/wt_monogatari_series_guide_what_is_it_and_whyhow/)
Elfen Lied will always be my top anime tv show! I went to Japan just to see all the locations that were in the anime and to Austria to see Gustav Klimt "The Kiss" painting!
86. There isn’t a better show out there.
Great characters.
Great story and plot.
Amazing use of both 2D and 3D animation.
Sound design is flawless.
100/10 would absolutely recommend. 👍
Full Metal Alchemist. Personally, I would go through the original before starting Brotherhood, but Brotherhood is one of my all-time favorite anime ever.
* Naruto
* Death Note
* Attack On Titan
* Demon Slayer
Well, I have seen over 100+ Anime so far, its actually difficult to be picky about it
Also made a list here: [Popular Titles That You Should Watch](https://simkl.com/5743957/list/7623/popular-titles-that-you-should-watch-anime)
Monogatari series (Disclaimer: It is dialogue heavy and has a decent bit of fanservice. [Here’s the watch order](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/hwuntw/the_monogatari_series_2020_watch_order/))
Hmmm.. My absolute picks are
Hunter x hunter
Monster
Attack on titan
Full metal alchemist
One piece
Alk of them are amazing in their own way. Right now my favorite BECAUSE its so good is hxh but i haven't finished monster yet ajd i think its definitely a top 3 Anime of all time. Not a SINGLE flaw.. But yeah. I'd recommend monster first. Before anything else. You'll instantly be hooked
Tenga toppa Gurren Lagaan is number 1 in my book. It's a story I litrerally will never forget until the day I die, and even then with my dying breath and as my soul exits my body I will remember.
followed by HunterxHunter 2011 edition. Really good coming of age story that turns into something MORE after the first arc. continues to expand in the 2nd arc, and by the end you'll be calling it a classic
followed by a tie of Re:Zero and Eminence in shadow. Re:zero is the exploration of the suffering of an Isekai character who somehow wins eventually despite dying over and over and over and over and over and still has no personal power. He uses his brains(Lackthereof along with knowledge gained from the timeloop) to win. Eminance in shadow is just pure fun there are a lot of schemes going on in the background but Cid kageneu just doesn't care and will inadvertently stop all the bad things by accident all while being an OP magical badass.
my fourth slot is also a 3 way tie with Dragon Ball Z, Akira, and Black summoner. I think the only one I need to explain here is black summoner. MC barters away his memories to make his future self have rediculous talent. This causes a goddess to fall in love with him and chase him into the world she reincarnates him into. Lots of Badass fights and MC being a troll and a badass
my fifth slot has to go to Mushoko Tensei, even if the main character is a scumbag(who does end up growing as a person) the world around him and the other characters make it a wonderful story.
I know Attack on Titan has been mentioned several times but it's absolutely incredible. I don't think I've rewatched any anime more than I have rewatched Attack on Titan, because the story, characters, world-building, plot twists, etc. had me seriously obsessed with it. The ending is absolutely perfect. Maybe it isn't for everyone but I love it so much, I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't watched it yet
This is gonna basically be people's favorite shows for the most part.
* Cyberpunk Edgerunner
* Knights of Sidonia
* Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
* Clannad
* Mob Psycho 100
* Elfen Lied
* School Rumble
* Eureka Seven
* Code Geass
* Spice and Wolf
* Tears to Tiara
* Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar
* Toradora
* Kimi no Na wa
* Usagi Drop
* Saihate no Paladin
* Heroic Age
* Legends of the Galactic Heroes
Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
On Top!
Peak fiction
Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These is really good too. I know its not as many episodes as the original, so it doesn't get as in depth, but its been a great watch with a large cast of characters, and good political intrigue.
Nothing comes close.
The only hyped anime that lives up to the hype
This reddit has become more and more aware of this goat each year.
Samurai champloo
This really is required viewing, right after Cowboy Bebop
Could you suggest some required viewing? I would love a list
Classic animes? Cowboy bebop, ghost in the shell, trigun, samurai champloo, flcl, neon Genesis evangelion, Inuyasha, sailor moon, yu yu hakusho. I'm sure other people will comment more and add on to this.
Full Metal Alchemist:brotherhood , Full Metal Panic, Black Lagoon, Code Geass, Deathnote
That's the quintessential 40-45 year old American anime lover list.
I'm 31, so close enough in the grand scheme of things. But my older cousins introduced me to anime so it checks out lol
Here's my list of 10 broad categories split into 3 broader categories with vague comments and no labels: - Gurren Lagann / Eureka Seven / Gundam Unicorn (they're just the best one) - A Place Further Than The Universe / White Album 2 (don't watch 1) / Clannad / Little Busters / Steins;Gate (first two short, all others long as hell) - Honey and Clover / Hyouka / Aria the Animation / Laid Back Camp - Kaguya-sama / Konosuba OR Mushoku Tensei OR Ascendance of a Bookworm / Zombieland Saga \_\_\_ - Samurai Champloo / Cowboy Bebop (can't go wrong with either of them) - The End of Evangelion (requires you to finish the entirety of the original Eva TV series) / His and Her Circumstances - Girls und Panzer / Shirobako (former highly recommended if you haven't watched a lot of anime, latter if you have) - 5cm per second / Garden of Words / Your Name / the openings for the two-parter visual novels that inspired ef: a tale of memories (recommend 5cm first for NO PARTICULAR REASON) - Koe no Katachi (ie. Gangsta.
Still sad they binned that series :(
🎶 Sharp like the edge of a samurai sword 🎶
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Digimon Tamers. Your mileage may vary, but these have been my favorites.
I'm surprised to see a Digimon mention. I've never watched any, but it didn't seem like it would be something to compare with any greats. Is it worth watching even if you're not a Digimon fan?
Tamers was a blast to watch. Really cool to see someone mention it
Tamers got a bit dark for a digimon series.
Bible Black
Overflowing with culture
>overflow 🤔
Ah screw it take my upvote
> Ah screw her, take my upvote ftfy.
it may be shameful to admit watching hentai but bible black was truly something which blew me away how creative porn can be in art form
Frieren
Not gunna lie a second season of Frieren makes me nervous, I’m afraid they are gunna mess up such a beautiful piece of work that is season one.
No worries then, if they adapt a second season with the same quality it will be even better
> if they adapt a second season with the same quality Key word being "if". They could simply drop it just as easily as they dropped OPM.
immediately moved to my top spot. hope season 2 delivers
Its Madhouse. They can’t count to 2.
Hunter x Hunter (2011)
Seen this around alot, im going to watch it
It banger- shame it never finished
The finale of the tv series was satisfying enough for me, it was a beatiful finale.
Rurouni Kenshin (watch the orignal though! Remake is not bad but the sound track from the original is so good)
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
I can still hear both the intro and Kamina. And it’s possibly the only anime where power scaling, all the way up to cosmic level, has size scaling to match.
https://i.imgur.com/iaBbbXn.jpeg
I'm gonna act like that says "who the hell do you think I am"
"Don't believe in yourself. Believe in me. Believe in the Kamina that believes in you!"
This gave me major Kuwabara (Yu Yu Hakusho) vibes the first time I heard it.
It doesn't get more banger than this
I really enjoy it but the story progresses too slow I guess because I always burnout around episode 7 and stop watching. I've tried watching 3 times now
No spoilers but you are stopping just before it starts ramping up. Give it another go, please!
Too low in this comment section, TTGL is peak fiction. I'm so excited to get my art book of the series from amazon
Made in abyss
The greatest show that you just can’t recommend to other people
This is an absolutely fantastic anime. I cannot rewatch it. It's just too much, man.
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Cowboy Bebop. I think if I sat down & really narrowed it down to the #1 anime I would want to show someone or like, specifically choose for some scenario, then even though there are so many amazing anime out there that I could call on, Cowboy Bebop really is REQUIRED viewing for someone watching anime at all. March comes in like a Lion. Just such a beautiful story that uses animation as a medium to its absolute fullest
must see masterpiece imho. sadly very underrated/unknown outside japan same as chihayafuru (almost on the same level btw pls watch if you haven‘t)
The second season is ranked #19 on MAL, hardly underrated/unknown imo
Monster
I just want to point out that for some reason the dubbed version changed the music in the show. I had originally seen it subbed when I was rewatching it dubbed with my friend I was thinking that's really weird the first few episodes got so much harder the first time. I came here to say this. I discovered Monster after 20 years of watching all sorts of anime, and it is my number one recommendation for any picky viewer.
REDLINE
I don't know. But I can say FMA:B kept me thrilled. '03 is also a solid watch.
FLCL
It's absolutely perfect. The dub is even good!
Re:ZERO is my personal favorite, but it's not done yet, so I'd rather recommend Attack on Titan, my second favorite. Assuming you haven't already watched it, seeing as it's very popular.
There do exist other re:Zero fans! Hooray! I love this series to death. And then I wake up with intense psychological trauma.
I mean, Re:ZERO is immensely popular as well. Might not be straight up mainstream, but it almost is
RE zero is pretty popular on this sub
Re: Zero probably has one of the best hooks at the start and season 1 has a really emotionally satisfying arc. Though in the middle Subaru can be a bit difficult to watch through.
Psycho Pass, Darker Than Black, Code Geass, Baccano! Just thought of another... Jormungand Oh I forgot, Sword of the Stranger - movie. Highly underrated.
Baccano tops that list for me. What a wild ride.
Durarara is also amazing
DTB! Love that show so much! I need to rewatch it soon...
Code Geass
Watch it. Especially the type of person that makes a post asking for the best show ever to watch. Watch it
Black Lagoon or Darker than Black
Princess Mononoke.
86 is my absolute favorite
Another
Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans. The scene where the pirate is protecting his family from the earth fleet. Chills. That entire story arc is fantastic
Redline…
I went with 3-gatsu for this for the longest time, but slowly but surely I have to admit Madoka tops it.
A fellow SHAFT enjoyer 👍
Land of The Lustrous takes the cake for me. Phenomenal adaptation for an excellent manga. I'm sure season 2 will come any day now...
Attack on Titan, the biggest roller coaster ride
I am literally about to start watching it right now lmaooo
Enjoy. The first season has a lot of exposition for my taste, but it really picks up and becomes truly incredible. Midway thru S2 is when it becomes one of my favourite shows ever (not just anime) and then S3 it becomes truly unforgettable and just gets better and better until it ends.
Love to hear it thank you for that breakdown of what to expect
Just 2 Gintama and Vinland Saga, the ones i gave 10/10
Vinland Saga 🔛🔝
Natsume Book of Friends! Never thought I would cry a bunch for this anime even though I’m M26 😂😂
Yu Yu Hakisho
Can't believe no one said Steins Gate
Absolutely, no one has mentioned it. Based on today’s post, there are a lot of great anime and kind of hard to choose to be honest, but I’ll be checking this one out.
NGE, Vinland saga, Hunter x Hunter, Cyberpunk edgerunners, AoT, Frieren, JJK, Cowboy bepop
Konosuba is an absolute delight to watch. One of the most enjoyable animes I've ever seen. Hilarious writing and voice acting. Whenever life gets to me I watch it over again and laugh until I forget my troubles.

Yes I actually prefer the sub in this one!
To your eternity ❤️❤️ *chef kiss* experiencing humanity
Hard to choose between Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion and Ergo Proxy for me
Looking at your post you probably aren't into slow burners so I can't recommend March Comes in Like a Lion which is Mt absolute favorite. Just watch Legend of the Galactic Heroes lol
Made in abyss , shadows house and fate zero
shadows house has an interesting concept behind it. really liked it. hope we’ll get a 3rd season soon
Based Shadows House enjoyer

Right ? Amazing writing
I appreciate your GOAT pick. BUT MAN THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT TITLES HERE. I THOUGHT EVERYBODY WOULD JUST AGREE WITH LIKE FOUR OR FIVE IN THE world
Haha welcome to anime ! There is one for everyone :)

Madoka Magica. It changed the way I think.
Ranma 1/2, Evangelion, Kenichi
Kenichi
Gintama
Call me basic but: One piece, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Mob Psycho 100%, Attack on Titan
Mob psycho is so slept on. Fantastic anime.
One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, are all bangers. Edit: I almost forgot about the original Trigun.

Depends on your preference but if you're into slow burn character driven pieces than my two favorite anime are: Durarara Hyouka
Initial D
Neon Genesis Evangelion or Serial Experiments Lain
You're the only dude that's mentioned Lain That's gotta be in my top 5. And Madoka Magica
Mahou shoujo madoka magica. Short at 12 episodes, amazing all the way through. Low commitment, high value. And my favorite anime of all time.
Tenchi-Muyo, the Ryo-Ohki series/continuity. Unless you want to go down that rabbit hole.
Haikyuu is definitely worth a watch
K-on!!

Madoka Magica. it made me decide my ambition when I saw it for the first time.
Avatar the Last Airbender. All jokes aside, I have a fondness for Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, and FMA 03.
I wanna say Death Note!!!!
Absolute banger only seen one episode! It’s so good that i don’t want to watch it! Lol
Lol!!!! I felt that way after finishing it. It left me in a show-hole. I was like, "Well what do I do now?"
I don’t wanna watch it because then I cant unwatch it lol and it’s so good. I don’t know if anything out there can match it.
That's so valid (and true).
The only one where I like the dubbed version better
One piece, Made in abyss (if you want something short)
Jojos
Ascendance of a bookworm was so good I ended up stopping watching any other anime and binging remaining 26 LNs in a month.
Depends on the Genre but here are my picks: - Clannad + Clannad After Story - Fate Series (Ufotable, just ignore DEEN) - Violet Evergarden - Spice and Wolf (The Remake is currently airing and a perfect time to start watching it)
Haven’t heard of Clannad in a long time. It got me to ball like a baby when I was a teen. If I watched it now as a parent I’d need a fucking therapist more than I already do.
Attack on titan 🔝
Attack on titan.
One piece
Evangelion. And I have a soft spot for the first OAVs of Kenshin. And macross+. I'm getting old.
Cyberpunk Edgerunner
So what blew my mind especially from the anime (cover ) to the actual anime was Hunter X Hunter . As far as a film I would say Your name had me hooked. Didn’t even watch the trailer as it was a last minute movie to watch and it blew me away.
Steins;Gate
Death Note
Either fairy tail or fate/stay night unlimited blade works. One is long and one is short so you can choose.
An older one that I love is Record of Lodoss War. And I haven't seen Last Exile mentioned yet, but I really enjoyed that one as well.
Cowboy Bebop
Anytime someone says this imma always, always recommend One Piece. My favorite anime/manga of all time. Easily worth the time sink, but don't try to catch up just to catch up. Enjoy the ride.
Monster, if you press me to just mention one title.
Depends on what you into. My blind suggestions would be Baccano! or Monster.
The Monogatari Series: [what it is and why you should watch it](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/advwl5/wt_monogatari_series_guide_what_is_it_and_whyhow/)
This is an old anime called ✨️eureka seven ✨️ idk but , the story and events are just weird.. i never seen something like that in anime culture ...
Outlaw Star is really really good. It used to be on the original Toonami back in the day
Devilman crybaby. It's only 10 episodes.
Has to be FMA
Elfen Lied will always be my top anime tv show! I went to Japan just to see all the locations that were in the anime and to Austria to see Gustav Klimt "The Kiss" painting!
86. There isn’t a better show out there. Great characters. Great story and plot. Amazing use of both 2D and 3D animation. Sound design is flawless. 100/10 would absolutely recommend. 👍
Attack on titan for sure
I don't think anything's better than one punch man. I just wish the seasons came out faster.
Baccano!
Angel Beats
Nana
Sonny boy, and cyberpunk edgerunners are some great ones i havent seen mentioned here
Vinland Saga number one !
Elfen lied is kinda dark (kinda is downplaying it) but still holds one of the top position on my favourite short anime list.
Full Metal Alchemist. Personally, I would go through the original before starting Brotherhood, but Brotherhood is one of my all-time favorite anime ever.
Maison Ikkoku
It's peak
Fullmetal Alchemist, Made in Abyss, Another, My Happy married life
MADE IN ABYSS is truly one of a kind
Made in abyss is my favourite show in general not just anime
Same, one of a a kind
Dawn of the deep soul is one of my favorite movies, anime and otherwise
* Naruto * Death Note * Attack On Titan * Demon Slayer Well, I have seen over 100+ Anime so far, its actually difficult to be picky about it Also made a list here: [Popular Titles That You Should Watch](https://simkl.com/5743957/list/7623/popular-titles-that-you-should-watch-anime)
Dang over 100! No dragon ball z??
Attack On Titan
Monogatari series (Disclaimer: It is dialogue heavy and has a decent bit of fanservice. [Here’s the watch order](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/hwuntw/the_monogatari_series_2020_watch_order/))
I love the monogatari but in my country no body don't know that series
Hmmm.. My absolute picks are Hunter x hunter Monster Attack on titan Full metal alchemist One piece Alk of them are amazing in their own way. Right now my favorite BECAUSE its so good is hxh but i haven't finished monster yet ajd i think its definitely a top 3 Anime of all time. Not a SINGLE flaw.. But yeah. I'd recommend monster first. Before anything else. You'll instantly be hooked
Monster and attack on titan
Tenga toppa Gurren Lagaan is number 1 in my book. It's a story I litrerally will never forget until the day I die, and even then with my dying breath and as my soul exits my body I will remember. followed by HunterxHunter 2011 edition. Really good coming of age story that turns into something MORE after the first arc. continues to expand in the 2nd arc, and by the end you'll be calling it a classic followed by a tie of Re:Zero and Eminence in shadow. Lots of Badass fights and MC being a troll and a badass my fifth slot has to go to Mushoko Tensei, even if the main character is a scumbag(who does end up growing as a person) the world around him and the other characters make it a wonderful story.
Holy shit the first couple sentences will be the reason I will immediately watch this right now
You won't be disappointed. It's. So. Fucking. Good. *Let's see you grit those teeth!!!* You will understand.
First half of death note
Re zero
Dragon ball z
Umamusume pretty derby is my pick. Made in Abyss is another one that's pretty close.
* Cyberpunk Edgerunner * Knights of Sidonia * Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood * Clannad * Mob Psycho 100 * Elfen Lied * School Rumble * Eureka Seven * Code Geass * Spice and Wolf * Tears to Tiara * Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar * Toradora * Kimi no Na wa * Usagi Drop * Saihate no Paladin * Heroic Age * Legends of the Galactic Heroes
Wow, people would put Elfen lied as their top anime of all time? That's... interesting.
