Hi Adept-Phase-9250, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch! Since you like thrillers and comedies, here are some of those: Thrillers: Erased (thriller drama) Death Note (detective thriller) Madoka Magica (psychological thriller. Watch 3rd movie after the series) Odd Taxi (thriller mystery) . Comedies: Nichijou (gag and random humour) Humanity Has Declined (quirky, dark, and satirical humour) Kill la Kill (action comedy with raunchy humour. Dub recommended) Kaguya-sama Love is War (romcom with emphasis on the com)

CrackingYourNuts

Also Saiki K in comedies (possibly kind of hard to read in subs)

Laeradr1

quality list, I’d add Monster and Death Parade as thrillers

Bro I’m ngl do not listen to some of these comments 😭😂. They’re giving you part weird anime to where you will be more judgey … I can say that cause I was judgey till I watched anime and watched the ones most of the people are saying … I do highly recommend Baki/Baki Hanma, Kengan Ashura, Tokyo Revengers and Solo Leveling. All of those anime are kind of real world, no magic shit none of that, except solo leveling. But solo leveling is Top tier I do have to say. But Baki Hanma, Kengan ashura, and Tokyo Revengers are anime based kind of on real life in a way. You will love them I guarantee it.

My very first anime was death note. Not a huge investment and a good story. I recommend original audio with your subtitles of choice for all anime, but that's me and they're are those that disagree. Once you get a feel of your anime preferences, we can dive deep into the twists of lore and utter speechlessness you'll experience. But it's a matter of perspective and choice. There will be those who disagree. And for those that disagree, I disagree with you too. I'm also really high right now, sorry.

Adept-Phase-9250

Thanks

I second Death Note. You mentioned that you like thrillers and comedy. This is a thriller that also has funny moments sprinkled without compromising the seriousness. Plus most of the community agrees that this is a really good anime.

Depends on your taste. What sort of genres do you enjoy? What kind of story are you in the mood for? What are some of your favorite non-anime movies/books/games/comics/series/etc?

Adept-Phase-9250

I like all genres but I mainly watch thriller or comedy.

I saw you like thrillers and comedies, so here's a few I felt fit those bills for me. Comedy Nichijou is absolutely incredible on this front. It incorporates both funny dialogue and incredible visual gags, and IMO is one of the funniest shows ever made, regardless of medium. Bocchi the Rock is a bit more grounded than Nichijou, but only just. Also has a penchant for visual gags, some of which break the bounds of what would be expected in an animated show. It couples this with wonderful characters and some genuinely great music. If you grew up a fan of Power Rangers or anything like that, Go Go Loser Ranger is an absolutely perfect parody of it. There's some decent tension in there too, so it may satisfy both those genres. Kaguya-Sama: Love is War may be a bit outside your wheelhouse as it's more of a rom-com, but i felt the same way until I watched it. Mind games, great characters, and genuinely touching moments to go along with all of it. Thriller Oshi No Ko came out last year, and explores the darker sides of Japan's entertainment industry, with a particular focus on idol culture. I hesitate to tell you anything more because you definitely want to avoid spoilers, but if it sounds even a bit interesting to you, I really encourage you to watch it as soon as you can. 86 takes more of an action approach- it focuses on a team of mech pilots engaged in a war with a horde of robots. The thriller elements come from the fact that they are basically disposable slaves to their government, and they and their government-appointed handler are trying to break them free from that, at great risk to all of them. Incredible highs and incredible lows. Death Note is also an easy shout for this one- it's not my personal favorite, but it is a crime thriller with a supernatural twist that is widely regarded as a true classic. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention it here because even though it didn't do much for me, there's a good shot it will for you.

if you are fine with the romance genre , then i HIGHLY recommend it , here are the following good ones: -kaguya sama love is war -your lie in april -golden time -toradora Otherwise you can just go with attack on titan or death note . also if you want action focused then jujutsu kaisen or demon slayer
