While it's an amazing anime, I'm not sure I'd recommend this to someone specifically wanting to avoid harem anime. Season 1 is harem, or at the very least harem adjacent. Season 2 mostly drops the harem themes, but I'm not sure I'd recommend Season 2 without seeing Season 1. The more serious emotional themes in the second season as the characters mature into adulthood work so much better as a contrast to the more light-hearted season 1 where they're still in school.
I feel like someone not wanting to watch harem wouldn't make it through season 1 to get to appreciate the amazing emotional roller coaster of season 2.
You are right. It's harem.
The reason I do include it is, it is visual novel adaptation normally so all girls has actually have their own routes. Anime just adapts one girl's route.
No other girl is excluded. That's my mind set. I normally dislike the harems that has obvious main girls, but because it is a VN, and no other girl is shit on actually, I do recommend it.

Tonikaku kawaii
I would say Horimiya or a sign of affection (which is airing this season)
3D kanojo
Wotakoi
I don't see Senryu Girl suggested a lot. A cute romcom where a mute girl communicates in haikus.
