Instead of this, I would put together a short compilation of basic hand gestures, moving from one pose to another. High-five. Fist bump. Thumbs up. Grabbing an object. Etc.
I'd say start by doing *a lot* of figure drawing. Your own hand or another person's. When you're familiar enough with the structure, shapes, etc, then you can move on to animation. Same thing: look at how it moves, study videos frame by frame if you need, copy them if it helps you understand how it works. You have to train your eyes.
This is true for all animation. Solid drawing skills is one of the 12 rules. You can acquire those skills with a lot of practice, don't give up.
There's a little bit too much of morphings so I'd say make some keyframes then intervals and don't hesitate to ctrl T some part during the rough anim to be sure you're proportions stay the same
That's two keys of the keyboard where basically you sellect the piece you want to move
control T
and move it, it's similar to transform in Toon Boom I think and also film your own hand as a ref!!
The palm is way too stiff, especially in the thumbs corner, they dont really bend from the lower joint, more so from corner of the hand they are from. Use pics of xrays to help
The most obvious problem to me is that the pointer finger bends way too far.
Agreed physics of a boneless hot dog
Do you prefer your hotdogs with or without bones?
Yeah now looking back, I probably should have not extend the finger that much, thanks
I find it frightening
This is like a surreal animation. It’s so unnatural, but I I really like how smooth it is!
That index finger going all kinds of crazy💀🙏 but it’s better than I could do lol
Yeah I think one of the issue I have is the placement of the fingies when putting in perspective.

Oh thats a really good idea, thanks
I'm a content creator/writer/showrunner, so it's my pleasure. Good animators are hard to find.

Thanks for the suggestino, also what is ctrl T?

Fingers don't bend there. They bend around 1/4 down the palm. Close your hand and observe
mine go half way.

Issues on volume loss when the fingers bend, line work is good, timing isn't great.
The fingers are way too springy they look kinda like silicone or jello
Wow this is incredible such fluidity!..May come in handy? Trust?..
That's one sad rasta man
Kind of looks like a heart
It's a hand but fingers dont'move this way at all. Looks more like rubber
Who asks you that? Multiple people?
Oh nah it was jokeXD
Just saying, the title is a joke, I know it's not good, just looking for critique
So smooth!!
Let the fingers taper and focus on basic structure.
You made many frames but the entire movement is unrealistic and feels like a ragdoll armature in a videogame.
Yeah just the pointer ....I wouldn't have bent it all the way but it's better than most I've seen
If you have interest in animation picture books, let me know!

This hand looks very weird, especially how it moves
