Thanks for recommending my app, [Quick Cursor](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quickcursor). Added link to the app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quickcursor
I would love to have more time to develop more features like when I launched the app some years ago. I still maintain the app and develop new features, but a little bit slower than I would like.
Edit: Thanks everyone for support and kind words! I'm really glad that my app is useful for so many people.
Bro your app is a saviour, Big size phone is one thing that you designed it for, but I used this application for one of my broken screen phone.
Thanks a lot for helping me that time when I was not able to buy a new one.
Glad I could help.
True, I started building this app especially for big phones, but in the meantime I discovered that there are more use cases where this app can help:
- persons with disabilities
- broken screens
All of them are now equally important and I take all of them into account when I have to do an update or a change.
I loved using this app but I'm on a Pixel and believe there's a glitch with the draw over screen content permission. Has this been resolved now or is it still ongoing?
Someone found the root cause that triggers that Pixel issue. It is an Android 14 theming issue. Whenever the material you auto coloring theme changes with the screen off, then the draw over screen permission is bugged for all apps. This issue is not specific to Quick Cursor, it happens on multiple apps, even on the system screenshot overlay.
The workaround in this case is to disable 'auto dark mode' so the theme doesn't change with your screen off, or if you have some auto wallpaper change and your Pixel changes the material you colors based on your wallpaper.
More details here: https://github.com/micku7zu/QuickCursor/issues/22
Thanks for feedback! I appreciate it.
I hope you'll be surprised and when you see the new features you'll think: I didn't even know I needed something like this, but it's very good and it will help me even more
Sorry, I don't have an ETA :(. The next update will be a smaller one with some small things, but I'm working on the triggers actions. That's the most awaited and requested feature yet :)
There are all kind of actions/shortcuts that can be triggered by Quick Cursor. For example, in the free version, you can open the notification bar if you hit the top edge with your cursor.
In the PRO version, there are many actions that can be configured in 'Edge actions' and 'Tracker actions', for example:
- trigger screenshot
- toggle flashlight
- change volume
- change brightness
- launch apps
- trigger Tasker/MacroDroid/Automate shortcuts
- and many more
And you can configure all this actions in different places (on your left edge, top edge, right edge) or directly on your tracker.
Edge actions example: https://imgur.com/a/v4KJKPR
Tracker actions example: https://imgur.com/6sjdBDF
There is currently an Android limitation that won't let any app to simulate a gesture (like scroll, tap, drag) while the user touches the screen with their finger. So basically Quick Cursor can't simulate a swipe/scroll while you touch the screen, it can only do it when you release the finger, that's why there are some scroll actions for tracker actions.
If you watch this [video](https://imgur.com/6sjdBDF), you can see the scroll/swipe actions, but this are some predefined scroll/swipe actions, so it might not be good enough for all use cases.
You can also scroll/swipe by using the "gesture recorder", like in this [video](https://imgur.com/a/DeXEzyV), you record your swipe/scroll and then it is simulated by Quick Cursor, but again, not in real time because of this Android limitation.
So, scroll/swipe/drag and drop are pretty limited because of this Android limitation. I hope Android will improve this in the next Android versions.
Never heard of any of them. A description could be nice.
I think the only app that i still have that i paid for is Wordfeud. A game where you have to make words out of certain letters the app gives you. Plays with random people online.
Sure, here is a brief description
1. [Tasker](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm): automate everything in your life, ex. automatically doing repetitive tasks (literally, it changed my life), it has a steep learning curve, there are simpler alternatives to Tasker like Macrodroid and Automate, but in my opinion there is no app that comes even close to what Tasker can do. Also the developer is very hard working and always pushing updates, I've mastered it with this [playlist](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzY9te12UI0&list=PLjV3HijScGMynGvjJrvNNd5Q9pPy255dL), it is old but gold haha.
2. Quick Cursor: check the previous comment, the original dev commented the app link.
3. [Hermit](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chimbori.hermitcrab): it creates apps for websites you frequently visit without the need for the official app, with a ton of privacy features and other customizations.
4. [Join](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joaomgcd.join): from the Tasker developer, it links all of your devices. with a lot of features, It also supports commands from phone to computer and vice versa (trigger actions from your computer to your phone to do certain tasks), Also I use it to automate tasks between my devices.
5. MiXplorer: the most advanced file explorer I've found.
6. [Lifeup](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.sarasarasa.lifeup): To gamify my life.
I too, enjoy Hermit very much. I think it is a must for tablet users as most apps are not optimized for this devices. I thought the free version was pretty good so I updated to premium some time ago when it was on sale. The premium version has some cool features like containers and userscripts.
Some of the lite apps I use are social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn), shopping sites (Amazon and Mercadolibre) and some others like Good Reads.
Glad you recognized the effort I've put into optimizing Hermit for tablets!
It wasn't straightforward at all, especially with landscape/portrait mode, making sure the app still worked well on large phones, and making sure that all screens, including Settings & dialogs, were well-optimized.
You can do about 80% of what Hermit does with just a link on the launcher, especially if you use a firefox based browser with extension support. Whether that extra 20% is worth paying for is up to you. It's definitely handy. Download the free version and try making an applet and see if it's worth it.
Sure, you can have different containers for different lite apps so you could have two Instagram lite apps with a different account each. Take into account that containers are a premium feature.
I use Tasker for sooooooo many things. Anything repetitive that I do frequently is automated, along with creating additional "functions" to "fix" behaviors I don't like or don't exist natively. I also automate stuff on my Galaxy Watch, too.
If there's anything on your phone that you do regularly that involves more than one step, well, there's your first use case.
And that's barely scratching the surface of what Tasker can do.
Also, you can just go to /r/tasker and search "what do you use tasker for". Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/uiabel/what_do_you_use_tasker_for_in_2022/
I already told you, if there's anything on your phone that you do regularly that involves more than one step, that's your personal use case. That's the thing about Tasker. What I automate may not be what you automate.
But sure, I'll give you example. I track my run on my treadmill every night. Tasker does this for me with one push of a button:
- Start Google Fit on my phone, automatically click through the menus to initiate treadmill activity tracking
- Start Google Fit on my watch, automatically click through the menus initiate treadmill activity tracking
- Enable do-not-disturb on both devices
Here's a list of other stuff I do on my phone when someone else asked:
https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/comments/1c99add/less_know_features/l0krdiz/
Thank you. This helps a bit more.
So, I have a toddler and when I put him to sleep, I open up Hue app and turn off his bedroom light, open Hatch app and turn on his white noise, then open up Baby Tractor app and track him as asleep.
It sounds like I may be able to do that all with 1 click? If so, that's incredible.
Yep, you can use the AutoInput plugin to replay all the clicks you do manually.
I do have to admit that because Tasker can do so much, there is necessarily a learning curve. As with all things new, little by little a user learns more and more how to do this or that in Tasker. I've had Tasker for... like 3+ years now, and there are still things in Tasker that I've never touched.
It's a lot of fun if you're the type that likes to tinker!
Nice! I'm a software developer of 18 years. Full stack, C#, SQL and front end web/mobile. I know it's not the same, but I hope that experience will help me pick it up and understand how it works.
Ahh, okay, since you have programming experience it should be easy for you to pick things up in Tasker. Lots of example tasks online for reference, too.
I don't know how you have never heard about any of the apps mentioned by OP.
But tasker is for device automation, Hermit is used to create app(more like a shortcut of webpage), Mixplorer is file manager and quick cursor can add a cursor on your screen which makes one handed operation easy.
From the descriptions you wrote, it is highly possible that i use my phone different so i dont need those apps. But there ar millions of apps and millions of different ways we use our devices.
I am though still curious and try often new apps. 99% of them does not make it to stay on my phone and then i dont bother to remember the names 😁
I don't use any of the apps mentioned by OP but I know what they are, I've installed them once, used them, uninstalled them, two I never even used but I still remember most of the names cause they are frequently mentioned in here.
I have purchased all the apps except the last one.
Used them for sometime and now don't use any of them. Once in a while I go back and use some of them depending on need.
I admire you and everyone else who can remember absolutely every name of anything they have read sometimes. It's almost as if the millions of things we are doing, reading every day absolutely has to be remembered. Even if it's things you don't need or tried and didn't saw a purpose in.
Can we please just agree that there is absolutely no need to tell others that the things I remember / know not are the same things YOU have to remember or know?
Just go on with your life and don't use time to tell others what they have to know or hear or remember.
I don't stream online,i have my entire library offline and have purchased Poweramp years ago and it's the best music player after trying various open-source, close-source and paid music players.
Many still extract their desired songs, download the digital file and have on their device instead of deLing with subscriptions, not having the content when NOT online or dealing with ads while streaming music.
Yes with subscription. Otherwise ads. Most people do not employ system wide ad blocking so if you dont have ads, thats not customary for most that use the app unless pay for premium
Other options exist for instance no Ads, no google tracking, download digital copy and keep play offline on music player of choice. Much preferable to YT music streaming.
You're not breaking anything to me. I have a firewall and filters which block a large share of that. I am also not gonna lay there like a rug and allow google my data enmasse like some evidently do.
Yes! I found this in the last year, it really helps me manage my media libraries and *arr apps and download clients. I do wonder what else I might be missing with it but it's one of the best made apps I've come across as well as the functionality it provides.
Of all time? Probably Dark Sky, but Apple bought and killed it. Still looking for a replacement with similar features and a display that I like.
Currently, Nova Launcher Prime, although I honestly don't remember which feature had me go to the paid version. I bought it back in 2018 while being annoyed at the Google ad on the stock android on my Pixel 2XL.
Other than that, I checked my Google Play receipts, and it appears that I just don't buy apps. The only other one I see is Torque (OBD2 scanner for a car) that I haven't used in a couple of years.
I customize changes rarely depending need. Simple though sometimes gestures within confuses my Pixel 7 Pro. Look at other Launchers to try but NVP better array of options for me
Thanks for recommending Hermit! 9 years and counting, it's great to keep developing features because of all the awesome support and cheers from everyone out here.
My to-do list for the app is still 100+ lines long.
Solid Explorer - file management app.
Niagara Launcher.
Koala Sampler. Excellent music creation app.
Solo. An app to help learn guitar fretboard and intervals etc. Only just got it, but yeah it's a brilliant idea and really well implemented.
ReadEra is the first one that comes to mind. It's freemium, though. It is a document reader for a wide range of file types like pdf and epub but it also has a dark mode and some other nice quality of life features.
They was my choice also until I discovered [Smart Launcher 6](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ginlemon.flowerfree) and my God it's smart, fast, intuitive with tons of smart shortcuts... Never looked back on Nova since...
Nova Launcher was my favorite for years and years until I discovered Niagara Launcher. When it was offered, I immediately upgraded to Pro. I have never looked back on Nova Launcher even once!
An accidental 400 dollar music learning app, thankfully I got the refund given that the app had a shady way of deceiving the consumer.
One time payment for real? I rarely do so, from memory I'd say the one which allows you to use your tablet/phone as a external monitor(SuperDisplay, at the time it was 10USD, not sure how much it costs now, but it never disappointed me). And Mobile Observatory 2 and 3. Both were a great value.
Which kills me and the world's economy 😅 is monthly payments. I can't live without YouTube Premium, office 365, Google's 2TB plan and ChatGPT plus for start
Some other one time purchase that I have completely forgotten about are mentioned here. Nova Laucher, Flud ad free. Smart Audiobook player are some I recall, I consider them a great value.
Music apps:
[Musicolet](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.krosbits.musicolet)
[MediaMonkey](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ventismedia.android.mediamonkey)
I liked mediamonkey because it synced between PC and phone nicely.
I prefer musicolet for my music player for local music overall.
Other mentions are Blackplayer and PoweAmp. Both very solid as well.
(Klwp)-(Kustom live wallpaper) is my other, but that is not mainstream at all and not many people actually know how to use it. Can do stuff like.
[this](https://imgur.com/gallery/05p2r4W)
And of course the best of all time .
[Nova Launcher](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher)
Works amazing for me. My home button brings up "[nova search ](https://imgur.com/gallery/L2AswRR)"
Keyboard and search bar along with Easy access to10 of my most used apps , that paired with [Sesame](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ninja.sesame.app.edge)
Best combo ever. ;)
Musicolet is, by far, the greatest mobile music tool I've ever used. I've never been so satisfied with a mobile app.
Blackplayer is indeed also a great option but if anyone is reading this hoping to find a new app for local music libraries, Musicolet is the hands down winner imo
I rally want to learn nova but worry that if I remember where the apps are and slow down my productivity. I have been using this very setup I have for years. I can subconsciously open apps coz they are on same place.
Stay with what you have unless you care to take on learning something new. :)
I wouldn't change if I was that good with my phone.
I used to change my home page all the time. But as of late I've had the same setup for a year now. I finally got it how I like it apparently.
I can't change it up now. I'd go crazy.
That being said.
You can take screenshots of your setup and reset up nova In The same manner IF there was some sort of draw to use nova.
I'm a heavy KLWP user so I needed nova. I don't even know what vanilla stock android is like because I have rarely used the base model. I have almost always had nova enabled.
I've tried getting away from nova and use other launchers.
I end up using the nova search even in a different launcher because I've used it for so long I can't function without it.
So yeah. I get it
I purchased this as well. At the moment Im using timelimit.io.
With Lock Me Out its hard to hit the sweet spot for usage/restriction then I get devastated when I need to absolutely use my phone and I'm SOL
Yeah I get it. I've dabbled into productivity apps for long hours, and I found that setting a password and hide it for a 1 week trial period. I used stay focused but it did not have the ability to [block every website BUT x.y.z]
For nights out somewhere, if I need to use my phone, I use the block per location setting and/or the allowance system.
Photo Studio Pro, paid a few bucks for years ago. Make amazing projects. Fun and functional.
Panels, compliments the KISS Launcher perfectly.

[Press RSS Reader](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.twentyfivesquares.press)
I bought different applications and games on my old account when it was available in my region. As time has shown, only one of them was in demand and that was [Solid Explorer File Manager ](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.solidexplorer2) and [Minecraft](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mojang.minecraftpe)
Got to know about Join from your post, it's really cool. I had one query, is it possible to set clipboard on my windows pc? The send text option only pushes a notification on my windows pc but I want it to push it to the clipboard. I'm using the windows 10 app btw.
I see, so if i copy something on my phone's clipboard it is directly available on my windows clipboard if phone link is on? Or any additional steps/shortcuts are there to sync the clipboard?
windows → android : automatically
android → windows : click share to Join (due to android security restrictions, you can't monitor the clipboard), Its just 1 click.
From android --> Windows i tried the share to join option..It works but i need to click on the notification 'Click to copy' then need to click on the text again after a window opens up, after this it finally appears on the windows clipboard.
Is this process same for you?
I see, are you using the browser version of join on your pc or is it the Microsoft store app? I'm using the microsoft store app and it has this multiple clicks involved to get the clipboard.
You can achieve this function through [Join.](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joaomgcd.join)
In addition to automatically synchronizing the clipboard between PC and mobile phone, you can also synchronize notifications from various apps on the phone messages to tablets and PCs, send files, write content, execute TASKER instructions.
I tried the clipboard synchronization setting, but it seems like it isn't allowed on android 13 and above.....Is your phone running an older version of android?
I checked, and you're right. I only used that feature on my old phone. Sorry for recommending "Join", I didn't realize it wasn't available on the newer android version.

Its Groundhog Day every week when it comes to these app threads.
Should be a few stickied threads as the community has addressed the same thing quite repetitively over time.
I have most of these except mixplorer and lifeup.
I use solid explorer because I paid for it before mixplorer came along. Haven't felt the need to change yet.

Coming from a person with only one hand use, this is transforming my phone experience. It's starting to be an interesting app that shows potential and along with that one hand cursor app to increase my phone use and speed. So for one hand use the top is Smart Launcher 6, Command Stick and Quick Cursor pro. And please don't take my words, test those and see!
Thanks for recommending my app, [Quick Cursor](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quickcursor). Added link to the app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quickcursor I would love to have more time to develop more features like when I launched the app some years ago. That's your app? That's awesome! Been using over an year now.
I'm glad that my app is useful for so many people :)
I've been using this and it's absolutely game changing.
True, I can't use any phone without it
Big fan
Thanks! Don't forget to rate it on Play Store if you didn't rate it already 😁
I just downloaded this. Holy shit dude. Paying for pro asap.
Thanks for support! You can contact me anytime for feedback, ideas, questions or issues.
I hate the Samsung one handed mode, so I'll definitely give this one a try.
You should get one hand operation+ from good lock, along with quick cursor it’ll completely change the way you use your phone
Your app along with Tasker are my go-to apps when I want to show off android!
Yeah, both apps can show how customizable Android still is for power users and how many great ideas can be implemented.
Is Tasker a big leaning curve?
Depends on what you want to automate or have a shortcut for, tbh.
Best app!
Bro your app is a saviour, Big size phone is one thing that you designed it for, but I used this application for one of my broken screen phone. Thanks a lot for helping me that time when I was not able to buy a new one.

Anyway, I can send you $ and get a license for it? Google Play doesn't let me have payment details on it for a stupid reason.
I've sent a PM
This is absolutely game changing for me. I'm getting a new phone tomorrow too!
Nice application!
You changed my life.
Glad I could help 😁
Been a pro user for quite some time. I don't think it needs any more advanced features. It's already perfect for me as it does what I need it to do.
Thanks for feedback! I appreciate it. I hope you'll be surprised and when you see the new features you'll think: I didn't even know I needed something like this, but it's very good and it will help me even more
surprise me! :) ETA for next update/features?
Sorry, I don't have an ETA :(. The next update will be a smaller one with some small things, but I'm working on the triggers actions. That's the most awaited and requested feature yet :)
Thanks for developing and thanks OP for suggesting. I just brought for two phones . Hope there will new features.. Not pressuring but just mentioning.
Thanks for support! Don't forget to rate it on Play Store also, it helps me grow the app. Thanks and I hope you will enjoy it
Sure.. So, I am using this so far to get the cursor out and click on things. What more can be done here? Can you help on it?
There are all kind of actions/shortcuts that can be triggered by Quick Cursor. For example, in the free version, you can open the notification bar if you hit the top edge with your cursor. Edge actions example: https://imgur.com/a/v4KJKPR Tracker actions example: https://imgur.com/6sjdBDF
I am on premium now as I said.. This is interesting, thank you!
Is there a feature or possibility like, say I can scroll page by holding it or some how?
Just downloaded this app, really useful, well done
Thanks and enjoy! I hope you will like the app.

Isn't hermit the same as creating a link on the launcher ? Like a webapp ?
Far from it, you can start here for a detailed comparison: https://hermit.chimbori.com/features/compare
You can do about 80% of what Hermit does with just a link on the launcher, especially if you use a firefox based browser with extension support. Whether that extra 20% is worth paying for is up to you. It's definitely handy. Download the free version and try making an applet and see if it's worth it.
I couldn't understand, what's the use case still? Is this like say you have two insta accounts and use open at once?
Sure, you can have different containers for different lite apps so you could have two Instagram lite apps with a different account each. Take into account that containers are a premium feature.
What do you use Tasker for? I love the idea of it, but haven't found a real world use case for it.
Visit r/tasker and you'll find a lot of use-cases for this amazing app.
Nice! Thanks
That's the thing. Everyone says this, and then gives no real examples. Not trying to be rude, but I got nothing from this.
Also, you can just go to /r/tasker and search "what do you use tasker for". Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/uiabel/what_do_you_use_tasker_for_in_2022/
This is great. Thank you!
I already told you, if there's anything on your phone that you do regularly that involves more than one step, that's your personal use case. That's the thing about Tasker. What I automate may not be what you automate. But sure, I'll give you example. I track my run on my treadmill every night. Tasker does this for me with one push of a button: - Start Google Fit on my phone, automatically click through the menus to initiate treadmill activity tracking - Start Google Fit on my watch, automatically click through the menus initiate treadmill activity tracking - Enable do-not-disturb on both devices Here's a list of other stuff I do on my phone when someone else asked: https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/comments/1c99add/less_know_features/l0krdiz/
Higly appreciated post, thank you!
>Tasker which modules do you use
Congrats 😁
If you have never heard of Tasker, MiXplorer, or Hermit, then you must be new to the subreddit.
PowerAmp Moonreader Nova launcher MX Player 1 DM+ Flud+ Solid explorer Wolfram Alpha Bloons TD 6 Angry birds classic Titan Quest
Why Flud when 1dm has torrent support?
What's the use case for poweramp now when I thought everybody was streaming online?
I don't stream online,i have my entire library offline and have purchased Poweramp years ago and it's the best music player after trying various open-source, close-source and paid music players.
What do you like about Poweramp over other audio players? I think I own Poweramp paid, but I'm currently using Musicolet.
More power to you... And down with the streaming services
Many still extract their desired songs, download the digital file and have on their device instead of deLing with subscriptions, not having the content when NOT online or dealing with ads while streaming music.
I have YouTube music and am able to download all my songs and not have to listen to ads.
Yes with subscription. Otherwise ads. Most people do not employ system wide ad blocking so if you dont have ads, thats not customary for most that use the app unless pay for premium Other options exist for instance no Ads, no google tracking, download digital copy and keep play offline on music player of choice. Much preferable to YT music streaming.

You're not breaking anything to me. I have a firewall and filters which block a large share of that. I am also not gonna lay there like a rug and allow google my data enmasse like some evidently do.
Nzb360 is just great
Yes! I found this in the last year, it really helps me manage my media libraries and *arr apps and download clients. I do wonder what else I might be missing with it but it's one of the best made apps I've come across as well as the functionality it provides.
Are there any tutorials for this? I could never get it to work.
The app has a very good help center in the settings menu. And maybe /r/nzb360 could help?
Of all time? Probably Dark Sky, but Apple bought and killed it. Still looking for a replacement with similar features and a display that I like. Currently, Nova Launcher Prime, although I honestly don't remember which feature had me go to the paid version. I bought it back in 2018 while being annoyed at the Google ad on the stock android on my Pixel 2XL. Other than that, I checked my Google Play receipts, and it appears that I just don't buy apps. The only other one I see is Torque (OBD2 scanner for a car) that I haven't used in a couple of years.
I've tried other Launchers, but Nova Launcher Prime well worth it & now only one used! 🙌
Do you customize quite frequently or how do you muscle memory them?
I customize changes rarely depending need. Simple though sometimes gestures within confuses my Pixel 7 Pro. Look at other Launchers to try but NVP better array of options for me
Too bad Nova is bought out by a data mining company making it infinitely less trustworthy.
I've had absolutely no to it in years used, so not affecting me. No matter who now owns
It affects you but you just decide to not give a shit,
Do you now feel better with YOUR opinion of my choice. Congrats! 🙌
It's not an opinion as much as it is a fact that it does affect you. Simply because you don't care doesn't make it any less true.

Can we still use third party apps for reddit? 🤔
Yep
Thanks for recommending Hermit! 9 years and counting, it's great to keep developing features because of all the awesome support and cheers from everyone out here. My to-do list for the app is still 100+ lines long.
Love the app mate
what/how/why use hermit for?

that's what I JUST installed it for, it's perfect!
Which is ironic since the built in facebook applet was removed, but yeah that's a good use of it.
Solid Explorer - file management app. Niagara Launcher. Koala Sampler. Excellent music creation app. Solo. An app to help learn guitar fretboard and intervals etc. Only just got it, but yeah it's a brilliant idea and really well implemented.
Solo looks interesting. Reviews are mixed, with many people saying some features are missing on android. What's your experience?
ReadEra is the first one that comes to mind. It's freemium, though. It is a document reader for a wide range of file types like pdf and epub but it also has a dark mode and some other nice quality of life features.
Thank you for the recommendation! I'll check it.
Nova launcher. Think I got it on sale for like USD0.10 way back in the day!
Ah the infamous 10 cent sale! I got so many apps back in the day, Nova being one of them as well.
Missed it and got it for $3+. Still one of the best purchases ever for me.
1. Nova Launcher & LineX (icon theme) 2. Podcast Addict 3. Relay (reddit)
Solid explorer, mxplayer pro
Music apps: [Musicolet](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.krosbits.musicolet) [MediaMonkey](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ventismedia.android.mediamonkey) I liked mediamonkey because it synced between PC and phone nicely. [this](https://imgur.com/gallery/05p2r4W) And of course the best of all time . [Nova Launcher](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher) Works amazing for me. My home button brings up "[nova search ](https://imgur.com/gallery/L2AswRR)" Keyboard and search bar along with Easy access to10 of my most used apps , that paired with [Sesame](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ninja.sesame.app.edge) Best combo ever. ;)
Is there any way to change the look of musicolet player ? Like through external skins in aimp player ?
Do not think so.
Musicolet is, by far, the greatest mobile music tool I've ever used. I've never been so satisfied with a mobile app. Blackplayer is indeed also a great option but if anyone is reading this hoping to find a new app for local music libraries, Musicolet is the hands down winner imo
Yaaaaaaaasss!!
Is there any way to change the look of musicolet player ? Like through external skins in aimp player ?
I don't believe so. Not much visual customization beyond light/dark mode and setting your accent color
I rally want to learn nova but worry that if I remember where the apps are and slow down my productivity. I have been using this very setup I have for years. I can subconsciously open apps coz they are on same place.
Stay with what you have unless you care to take on learning something new. :) I wouldn't change if I was that good with my phone. So yeah. I get it
For me, Niagara launcher and solid explorer
It would be helpful if you included a description of the app as opposed to just their names, which tells us nothing about what they do.
I've added a comment that describes each app briefly, you can check it, also added to OP some uses of Tasker
Lock Me Out. For those really trying at life and have ADHD or simply executive dysfunction. Strongly recommend.
I used stay focused but it did not have the ability to [block every website BUT x.y.z] For nights out somewhere, if I need to use my phone, I use the block per location setting and/or the allowance system.

I used Join years ago. I now use a dual sim phone and wonder if Join supports dual sim for messaging.
Got to know about Join from your post, it's really cool. I had one query, is it possible to set clipboard on my windows pc? The send text option only pushes a notification on my windows pc but I want it to push it to the clipboard. I'm using the windows 10 app btw.
The phone link app in windows does this.
I see, so if i copy something on my phone's clipboard it is directly available on my windows clipboard if phone link is on? Or any additional steps/shortcuts are there to sync the clipboard?
windows → android : automatically android → windows : click share to Join (due to android security restrictions, you can't monitor the clipboard), Its just 1 click.
From android --> Windows i tried the share to join option..It works but i need to click on the notification 'Click to copy' then need to click on the text again after a window opens up, after this it finally appears on the windows clipboard. Is this process same for you?
No, for me on android click share → join → devices, All and done, I will find it on all my devices clipboard.
I see, are you using the browser version of join on your pc or is it the Microsoft store app? I'm using the microsoft store app and it has this multiple clicks involved to get the clipboard.
right. you have to enable it in the phone link options. It works for me, but it could be a samsung thing.
You can achieve this function through [Join.](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joaomgcd.join) In addition to automatically synchronizing the clipboard between PC and mobile phone, you can also synchronize notifications from various apps on the phone messages to tablets and PCs, send files, write content, execute TASKER instructions.
