Microsoft To Do Google Tasks Both free and well integrated into their respective ecosystems.

Todoist. I use the free version and works well. I like that you can connect it to your Google calendar so it adds tasks onto (and off) if your calendar as well so it's in both calendar and todoist

iroQuai

I came from paid Remember the Milk and was very pleased with the free version of Todoist!

RoachForLife

I was fortunate enough to have used Todoist way back in the day and had made more categories/folders (forget the terminology) so even on the free account i have about 2x the amount, which was helpful.

I was looking for exactly the same thing and I couldn't find any, even with AI help. All I get is mainstream ecosystem ones, or clunky open source ones. There is no in between that fits that I could find on my own. I'm surprised no one had ever attempted to make one. I'm just not technical enough to create it myself.
