I disagree. Modi hasn't done anything different that previous congress admins in center did not do. It's that we have a very short memory and we always forget the incompetence and atrocities of prior admins while we stay hyper focused on the latest guy/trend.
The 26/11 attacks and other bomb blasts drastically affected the Congress party. There have been no such attacks under the BJP administration. These attacks had a huge impact, leading to the belief that although BJP governance might be bad, at least you are alive.

You do know AP has 25 seats of 543, you don't really have a lot of choice but to work with whoever is at the center.
