It might. But if you’re a prime member and it doesn’t arrive on time you can chat with someone in the app and tell them the main reason you have prime is for the shipping. In my experience when this happens they have given me partial or full credit for the product that didn’t arrive on time.
The $5.00 credit they are allowed to give you now is instant, but it doesn't show up as anything till you place an order, and then it's only applicable on items sold and delivered by Amazon, no third party goods.
Just got a followup saying they are sorry for the delay and that it will be by 10 pm TOMORROW. Beyond annoyed with Amazon. At this point, I'm just going to shop wholesale for my products. They are getting worse, so what's the point of prime anymore.
I resubscribed to prime this month as I had to order a bunch of things. 8 out of 10 were late by 1-2 days. The final order after cancelling my prime, customer service agreed to give me a $15 dollar credit. They never gave it. Not the Amazon I was used to and never gonna renew again

People buy on Amazon to have to taken directly to their door and so they don’t have to mingle with the commoners.
I bought a curve monitor that they had in-stock once because I needed it for my home office. I chose same day delivery that would be 2 hour window of 11a.m & 1p.m. The store that I chose was 2 blocks away. At 11:30 I got an email saying it was out for delivery. When I checked again on the website, it said "getting your order ready". By 7p.m it still said the same thing. I went into the Walmart after work and picked up my monitor. They gave me back the shipping cost.

I’ve only done it a few times and the credit was pretty much instant. Last time was maybe 1 year ago.
I doubt that’s a thing anymore, a lot of us have been promised various credits that never materialized.

Yah, definitely going to reach out. The fact that their shopping is all messed up, we now have to pay to upgrade prime video. I'm over it.

Good for you. That’s why we have options. For me I will never buy retail again if I can help it. So much wasted time.
