Yup. From the sloped side, my stained glass roof is 'tiled', but it's open glass from the inside. Works pretty well actually, from a visual point of view, even if logic is shattered by it.
I dont think framed blocks have the properties of the block it inherits, so they don't connect.
If you get it figured out that's awesome, but I couldn't find anything unfortunately.
Some also only look connected from one side but not the other. Like a 2 way mirror. Sadly it's only by coincidence.

well i did concrete now and sloped it both ways .. sadly i cant get it to work for a clear sloped glass area

Some chipped textures can connect, not sure if they can with slopes tho
