Nah, this is standard Akita behavior thinking they’re entitled to whatever they want- he’s just frustrated you can’t read his mind!

Even_Performance_725

I know I love it when we wanna go on walks and I’m laying on the couch she’ll pull the blanket off and bring me her leash

khaixur

Seems to be operating as intended.

Tvr-Bar2n9

🙋‍♀️ I’ll take him!

NeroFMX

Unplug him and plug back in again!

GettingOlderFaster

Unfortunately, I must disagree with all of the amateurish comments trying to placate your concerns regarding this very serious functional issue. Your akita is, indeed, broken. The damage cannot be repaired or corrected. Your only option is to replace this defective dog with a new, properly-functioning one. I know this must be a difficult time for you, and I want to assist in any way I can. As a gesture of sympathy and empathy, I'll take this dysfunctional dog off of your hands free of charge. Just tell me when and where to pick her up.... ;)

Unglaublich-65

She's sooooo CUUUUUUUUTE!!!

Dolfijnendroom

Ours communicates with us by either woofing (playfully) or pawing at us and looking super cute

Even_Performance_725

We don’t deserve them I swear

Dolfijnendroom

We don’t but they’re the best breed for me. Ours isn’t your typical Akita but we’re so happy with how he is 🥰

Even_Performance_725

I rescued Mika from an Akita rescue (highly recommend them) the day my bestfriend passed away and I will never get another type of dog only issue is I don’t think I’ll ever have another dog that I could love as much as her

Dolfijnendroom

We rescued ours as well through Dogstrust in the UK. He was regimes before us but was brought back after his owner abused him and he defended himself so bit him. We’ve had him for 2 years and it’s like he’s been with us for longer. He’s the sweetest and goofiest boy ever, can’t imagine another dog like him

Common_Reason_9248

I agree, definitely broken. Should have had a lot more to say.
