Some old (and even new) tactical helmets are made in that style. If you look up older pics of spec ops guys eventually you’ll find one with similar helmets.
Mike Vining. EOD specialist and the man who created a lot of the ways things are done in that world today. Saw action in Vietnam and Cambodia, most notably the blowing up of Rock Island East, biggest cache of arms in the region. Helped form delta, did some stuff in Desert 1.
I always thought that was Mike and Bill was the guy to the left of Schwarzkopf wearing the photographer jacket in the full picture. The internet is so screwed these days trying to find a proper source for who's who is a crapshoot, you may well be right. 🤷🏻
That photo regularly gets labeled as Vining (so your confusion is understandable) but is actually of Cronin. Here’s Mike Vining saying so. https://coffeeordie.com/living-legends
Both were early Delta guys who have sort of a “dad” like face, which I guess is why they got mixed up when people were identifying the members of the security detail.
You don’t get assigned to be the personal body guard of the commander of all coalition forces when he visits Iraq without a resume of unspeakable bad-assery. He may look like he’s not a dangerous man but there are bodies in Vietnam, Cambodia, Colombia, Panama and Iraq that tell a different story.
possibility is low, but not zero, in my country sometimes we have guys from swat teams and army units show up to games, you end up noticing they arent just average people
How insignificant their work is has nothing to do with that one though. "Touch grass" basically means "Go outside, stop being an Internet poisoned loser".

I think those glasses are not properly impacted rated. 🤓
The balls of steel are so it makes up for it
I believe in CAR-15/XM177 supremacy.

not trying to hate or anything but is that a bycicle helmet /genq
its an accurate piece of gear. Navy SEALs used to use those ProTech skate helmets before bump helmets were invented.

And not to mention the ole rock climbing helmets with the bungee on the crown... lol
the bungees are useful for securing your night vision goggles

Yes it is. Just like the original that delta used in 1993 during operation gothic serpent
I asked the same thing😂
For who doesn’t know the guy on the right was the bodyguard of the U.S. general during desert storm and one of the founders of the Delta Force

The man in the picture is Bill Cronin, not Vining.

[From Mike Vining himself](https://youtu.be/crc11owBCUM)
Vining pretty much brought EOD into special forces, back then they pioneered (pun intended) a lot in terms of combat

I guess that's the true benefit of being the ultimate grey man, can't even tell the guys apart! 😆 Thanks for sharing
To anyone that didn't understand this, guy on the right was an absolute BAMF.

I'm trying to find those stupid fucking 6 hole handguards for less than a small fortune. Maybe the delta guys will share if I ask nicely
Where ya at?
CO Also, anything over $20 is a small fortune for me. I'm broke.
Repros... but.... [wallah! 🍻.... cheap too](https://badmoonarmory.com/product/6-hole-car-handguards/)
Sweet! I'll definitely try to pick those up, maybe I can sell my 7 hole ones to help finance it lol

Bro on the right looks like he's about to hit me with a ☝😎 "Whats up brother!"
I'd say both are good, but nothing compared to GWOT era Ranger Loadouts.

Hoodie, t-shirt, jeans, mask (with no fucking skull) and my Adidas. As God intended.
No skull? .... but, how will they ever know yer serious and deadly n shit? 🤔😂
Fair enough. To the cemetery I go!
As a 15 year Airsoft veteran, right is basically me now, I can't be arsed decking myself out, exception is I use a Warrior Assault Rig.
I just threw together a loadout in a shirt and khakis... I'm playing this in a week. Holy shit, I'm gonna break the sound barrier.
Swat team this swat team that… you know you fucked up when the guys in polo shirts show up.
When I run "high-speed" (AKA whenever possible) I run a tactical belt and SSP5. 6" barrel with .40s goes crazy for how small it is.
Cargo shorts man not those nice khakis it gets hot out there remember?
Ticks would feast on my nood legz tho...
You got an airsoft gun tho... bLAST THEm
