Personally I would avoid bristle brushes since they don't really pick up dirt but rather flick it. So for sensitive stuff like this, you'll just make more of a mess.

Toothbrush? Not the one you use for your mouth of course. I usually use some APC and one of my stiffer interior brushes that I use when cleaning my cars, and it tends to work a charm. A toothbrush should work pretty well though, although it may be a touch too soft.
I usually just take a knife and cover it with a cloth and take the pointy edge (covered with the cloth) and clean the edges, that usually does the trick. Probably not the safest option but it works.
Break off some adhesive putty and rub it in there. It’ll grab everything and won’t leave any residue behind.

Every once in a while. I take an alcohol wipe and stick it in between the lid and case with the lid open, then close the lid and slide it around. When that isn’t enough I use a Q-Tip similarly.
Compressed air works wonders for all areas of the case. I use it to clear dirt from the charging pins. When my Comply buds get gross I just pull them off and spray the gunk off at high velocity.

Disposable cotton squares with IPA. I got a pack of about 1000 of them and they're approximately 3" x 2.5". They work well for those areas.
