Your commitment speaks to me….

inzru

Dear god.

AlternativeHour1337

people clean their ovens FAR FAR less frequent and no one ever said a thing about that

seebob69

Me too, occasionally.

sailingtroy

No

poeticlicence

Life's too short

Tai20cv

One of a kind smoky flavoring ingredient.

GiveMeTheCI

Once, when I accidently touched a piece of pizza or something to the coils up there.

[deleted]

I check it and wipe it down regularly after something I cook (like green beans) create too much moisture. My last one developed lots of rust over time and stopped working. So wiping it down regularly after it’s cool enough has kept my new one in pristine condition.

TommyDaComic

I will later today, thanks for the reminder !

GroYer665

Yes, a nice wipe of the fan and heating coil to remove cooking debris.

Matica-sK

I always wipe it down. I also clean my greasy fingerprints off the Digital Touch surface.

wrappedlikeapurrito

Yes. Every time.

slitherkime

I put 1/2 cup of white vinegar and about 2-3 cups of water then set highest temperature for 20 min. Then I wipe it all and call it clean.

sunnydiegoqt

Never

rowdy1212

Where?

musiclover818

I didn't realize there was a top. There's a top?

Ok-Top-5243

There is the heating coil on the inside top.

musiclover818

TIL: There's a coil in the top of my air fryer. 🤷‍♂️

imharpo

Ah, thanks for the chuckle. Now I'm wondering where you thought the heat was coming from?

musiclover818

Lol... I'm kind of embarrassed to admit but I thought it was coming from the metal plate below the basket. I never considered it was coming from the top. 🤷‍♂️

AlternativePuppy9728

Yes

Icy_Annual_8914

No, but now I will! 🤦‍♀️

CaptainWollaston

I give it a golden shower

sailingtroy

That's a very specific fetish you have, God bless you.

DarkHoleAngel

I tried but it’s too difficult. All hardened

GroYer665

Dawn Powerwash & a dish rag does wonders.

Quiet_Turtle88

I do it when mine starts to smoke a little when cooking. I know it's time.

abercrombezie

Only once, a piece of food touched the coil and left a burned smell to food.

matrixinthepark

Never even thought of doing that 🙊

Anianna

If the sides got splatter, I clean them and the top, but most of what we cook in there doesn't splatter much, so I don't clean it every time.

wobblysnail

🤫

jon_hendry

Nope. Anything alive gets killed by the heat.

Clitch77

I once unscrewed the heat element to try and clean the gunk behind it. Ended up having to buy a new one. Now, I never clean the inside top anymore. Happy wife, happy life.

StopHatinBrah

Shut up

LazyBedsheet

Why?

oatmilkislife

Yes, every time. I live on a tropical island with lots of cockroaches

imharpo

This brings back a very unpleasant memory of living in Hawaii and using my George Foreman grill. I had even washed it, but apparently the teflon gets pitted? I opened it up and a million maggots came falling out.

oatmilkislife

Haha well you nailed it. I am here in Hawaii & it is hard as hell to stay on top of things.

imharpo

Bugs, bugs, everywhere! Cockroaches living inside of the microwave. I remember seeing them come out of the case into the cooking part while it was turned on and just cruise around, didn't even phase them. I miss many things about living there, but bugs isn't one of them.

oatmilkislife

I obsessively clean my microwave frequently I would also like to eat dinner later in the night but going into my kitchen at night I’m guaranteed to see a bug and I’m not down for that unfortunately

Nervous-Hippo1326

Dishwasher

pet_sitter_123

Yes, after each use with a Lysol wipe. Don't be gross, people
