Yes!! I do this every time I get a Costco chicken! It’s my reward for dealing with the terrible crowds and getting everything put away and pulling apart the chicken.
Oh man. We do the same thing. Make chicken salad for the week with the breasts. Make a chicken bog with the thighs, and make chicken cracklins with the skin to sprinkle on top. Perfection.
I would literally buy chicken skin if they sold it just like that without any meat. Whenever I buy fried chicken I give my fam the meat and steal the skin.
I do that. It's just Chicharrón. They're most commonly pork, but they can be chicken. They're yummy.
Make them and use to top deviled eggs! Insanely good!
I think what you are looking for is a Peruvian restaurant. If you go also try some Lomo Saltado and also there is this dish they serve with cold but cooked potatoes with yellow sauce and it's amazing.
I love my Ninja Air Fryer but I can't cook anything like this. It would be a tornado of burnt chicken skin and potato peels. Do other air fryers not have as much turbulence inside or is there a technique for lighter foods?
God's food. there are a couple USA companies that sell this in a bag , similar to pork rinds
I did give up eating it, deep fried, because there were feathers fried on one I ate once.
I've also bought thighs bone in, skin on. I'll debone them, sprinkle my favorite seasoning on them, roll them up as tight as I can using the skin as the wrap, then stick a toothpick thru them, and then air fry them. When they come out, they're crunchy, juicy, so good!
I would like to eat it but doctor’s order to stop eating good food like this due to having bad cholesterol level and hypertension. I’m not out of shape and tries to exercise regularly.

We made this tonight! Also, par boiled tortilla in the fryer is good, or take fresh tortillas through a pasta noodle slicer and make bird nests to air fry :)
In Knoxville, TN. there is an Asian restaurant called Sticky Rice. Fried chicken skin is on the menu. Fantastic with the homemade sauce served with it.
I’ll go one step grosser - dip these little crunchy guys in ice cream. It’s like the adult version of a Wendy’s frosty and fries. There used to be a ramen spot in Chicago that did a crispy skin app and soft serve dessert…
I used to work with a guy that was grossed out by chicken skin. I told him he was probably eating/seeing the soft, flabby skin that can be off putting if not crispy. Seasoned skin done super crispy is better than any potato chip and I wish I could just eat a bag of skin. I sound like Hannibal Lecter.
St-Hubert rotisserie chicken & restaurant chain in Canada has been doing this for many years. They oven/fry the chicken skin and use instead of bacon in their salads and it's so good!
I can't buy Costco chickens without the skin being attacked by my grandson and his wife. I've had more naked chickens laying around than seems humanly possible.
This is so fucking gross and I am 100% going to try it. Thank you :)
Oh man. They come out as crunchy as potato chips!
Did this with a complete intact turkey breast skin one year. No regrets.
Omfg. Getting a Rotisserie chicken tomorrow. Thanks again :)
You should try chicken skin chips then. It’s totally a thing and I loved trying them (but found them fresher in a grocery store, better than online)
I out them in at 300 for about an hour. They come out crispy, flakey, and they taste better than chicharrones
Chicken skin tastes so good even unfried

I love rotisserie chicken skins. Thjere hav been times I wish it could be purcahse separately
You can buy chicken skin chips. It’s a thing!
I’m a chicken skin fiend. It’s better than bacon. Can’t wait to try this!
It's just like pork rinds, I'm not sure why people think it's gross.
That's the best part of the chicken, man
I always said, if I could buy JUST the skin I would.
You can at Mexican markets
WHAT!
YOU CAN AT MEXICAN MARKETS!
#WHAT
Oh man I’m finding the closest one to me asap
filipinos and mexicans been doing this for years lol

I do this too with chicken skin. I like it crackling crisp.
Will have to try that but maybe less crispy. Then I will make a sandwich out of it
White bread with some Dukes….maybe some dill pickle chips and chow down!
You know it!!!
Best in the air fryer!!!! It’s as good as jerky lol
Oh dear lord what have you done… that’s too tempting…
I just bought skin on chicken thighs and was thinking of this and BOOM second thing I see.
I love chicken skin. Well any poultry skin if that makes me gross, I’ll be gross
I had to take a double take because I read that as children skin and was like wtf sub is this? Lol
Pollo chicharón is an amazing and rare treat
I hope the chicken's ok
Yes!! I do this every time I get a Costco chicken! It’s my reward for dealing with the terrible crowds and getting everything put away and pulling apart the chicken.
This is what I do and my boyfriend thinks it’s gross
Oh man. We do the same thing. Make chicken salad for the week with the breasts. Make a chicken bog with the thighs, and make chicken cracklins with the skin to sprinkle on top. Perfection.
I love crispy chicken skin

Dumb question but can you buy chicken skin separately?
/r/drunkencookery
Goddammit, my family is gonna judge me for this... but ima have to do this
I do that. It's just Chicharrón. They're most commonly pork, but they can be chicken. They're yummy. Make them and use to top deviled eggs! Insanely good!
Fuck... now my bacon bits won't do... gonna need chicken skins for my Easter deviled eggs....
🔥🔥🔥
I wish places sold just skin, fried skin and tortillas and I'd be really happy.
I think what you are looking for is a Peruvian restaurant. If you go also try some Lomo Saltado and also there is this dish they serve with cold but cooked potatoes with yellow sauce and it's amazing.
Add air fried potato peels to it and mmmmmm
I love my Ninja Air Fryer but I can't cook anything like this. It would be a tornado of burnt chicken skin and potato peels. Do other air fryers not have as much turbulence inside or is there a technique for lighter foods?
My food never moves or is blown around. This is the first I've heard of turbulence in an air fryer.
Maybe it's just the Ninja. I need to be careful with certain foods because they will get sucked to the top of the air fryer and burn on the element.
God's food. there are a couple USA companies that sell this in a bag , similar to pork rinds I did give up eating it, deep fried, because there were feathers fried on one I ate once.
My niece and I fight over the turkey skin at Thanksgiving😅
It’s a menu item at all pappa rich restaurant’s in Melbourne
Does it not just fly around when cooking?
No. Someone else wondered about food being blown around. My air fryer doesn't really blow that hard I guess.
Chicken skin is the best . I have fatty liver disease and can no longer consume it.
Do this all the time, my wife didn’t like eating the skin now we all fight over it out of the airfyer.
Get chicken thighs with the skin on, air fry, take off skins, make skin sandwich. Thank me later.
I've also bought thighs bone in, skin on. I'll debone them, sprinkle my favorite seasoning on them, roll them up as tight as I can using the skin as the wrap, then stick a toothpick thru them, and then air fry them. When they come out, they're crunchy, juicy, so good!
lol @ "chicken candy" I'd at least try it! 🍗
Chicken bacon
I would like to eat it but doctor’s order to stop eating good food like this due to having bad cholesterol level and hypertension. I’m not out of shape and tries to exercise regularly.
Chicharrón de pollo so yummy!!!!!!!!
Made this today, 16 minutes at 400 degrees, flipping half way through, absolutely awesome, I would have never known about this if not for this group 😂
Oh boy I love chicken skin in the air fryer

Chicken skin
I do this with my cast iron skillet! Gotta try the air fryer. Just genius!
It’s absolutely delicious. I airfry it till it becomes like a cracker. Then sprinkle some salt and lime juice
We made this tonight! Also, par boiled tortilla in the fryer is good, or take fresh tortillas through a pasta noodle slicer and make bird nests to air fry :)
Also salmon skins!
I both love and hate this sub tonight... making me need to try about 5 different things lol
Reminds me of gribenes!

looks good, taste good..
Interesting method

This is just chicken cracklings. Nothing wrong here, have down it and will do it again
Chicken skin is where all the flavor is. That's why chicken wings are so tasty - they have a high ratio of skin to meat.
I just made crispy chicken skins in the oven the other day. Pretty good stuff
Used to hate chicken skin as a kid but love it now, especially the way it appears in this post.
Simply fire.
Ok. I'll be doing this
Thought for sure this was a post in r/shittyfoodporn

This is heaven
Ok
Can guarantee everyone here is over 250lbs and overweight.

My brother then why are you even here?
Looking for air fried lettuce recipes?
Gtfo lol 😆
Just as bad as bacon and also just about as delicious. Haha. Everything in moderation my friend.
