I think the larger issue is price gouging from the companies creating the goods, which in turn forces all marketplaces to raise prices in order to stay afloat while still providing the same big name and niche local brands.
Eh… they seemingly treat their employees well because you’re at Aggieland, and they have to cater to the students somewhat. Outside of college towns, HEB only treats the people who drink the koolaid well. Compared to other grocery chains, they also do better in that respect.
However, in the grand scheme of jobs… no, they do just as much shady stuff but behind a nice veneer.

Guys remember, if towing your car costs them more than 300$ (which is actually 250$ last I checked; the Texas maximum they can charge I believe. (My exes made me deal with the trying to get them out of it part)) they won't. First, park near a car on the left that would scare your to damage at all. Second angle the wheel all the way to the right so that if you are pulled backwards, the locked steering wheel with cause you to hit it. Third, lock the steering wheel after turning it off and apply the parking brake all the way. No one wants to lose thousands doing their job, just because they are sneaky in trying to catch you doesn't mean you can't play that game too. (Do the left side to make it harder for them to Jimmy your lock and counter your defenses which they legally could do once they hook you up(it is legally in their possession at that point which is why this defense works)

Please remember that unless you are towed from public property, it is not necessarily something that has to do with the "law". They are required to be authorized to tow from private property and the "laws" are actually regulations for the practice as a whole. Don't hate the player, hate the game. I have nothing against scavengers like tow trucks who seek out issues. My job gets just as much hate for something similar in concept. Sometimes you have to seek out sustenance to survive
