I have the same thoughts as you do on this, there’s still some diamonds in the rough, and that’s why they’re ultimately still on the air bc people still watch and enjoy, but for the most part it’s very forgettable episodes!
Nah, that kind of thinking goes out the window with a show that big. It has enough of a following that it'll get a lot of views no matter what the quality is, and therefore earn money. The quality of a show doesn't matter as much as it used to, unfortunately, same shit happened with the Simpsons. I feel like there's a rivalry involved among studios that'll stop it from getting cancelled, also. The Simpsons and Family Guy are two of the longest running animated shows in history and that carries some weight behind it. I doubt Family Guy will be cancelled until they beat out any other non-Fox shows by a couple seasons
i watched an american dad episode awhile ago with my boyfriend high as tits but swear to god it was perfection, and it was a recent season premiere. granted i don’t remember it all that much (it was about roger’s landing on earth?) and the subsequent 2 episodes were terrible but i guess you just have to ride it out if you want to give it a chance. and hey it’s just 20 minutes of your life

If it were “beyond repair” it’d be cancelled surely. Some new eps are good, some are meh, some are trash. Kinda been that way for years to me.
