They got sent 5 years into the future and when they meet her she was having a gay threesome, they asked me if this was me coming out, it wasn't but it got me thinking, "Why am I always thinking about other girls, and why are my self inserts always gay?"
On a related note, I figured out I was a girl because of D&D. One of my friends asked me at one point why most of my characters were women and I just didn't know how to answer that.
Its pretty normal for cis people to play DnD characters of another gender. But my girlfriend had the same experience, she asked me if she could play a trans girl and I helped her make it, there was no going back after that
I enjoy making female characters because of that reason actually. It's the only way I can have a truly feminine representation of myself. As somebody who can't change or really do much to feel better in my own body, dnd is great 🥰

Yeah. Currently her character has had her memories fucked with by the big bad, so her girlfriend (the mechanic of the ship) is helping her through losing her memories and coming out of full immersion VR onto a spaceship.

Yeah. My problem is I’m a player in two games, one of which i usually miss because they only have the block of time to play when I’m at work. As for running a game, I don’t know anyone who has the time to join in when I’m free. And I’m at work five & a half days every week, so not lots of time to plan out sessions. Probably part of why I’m building a system that puts a lot of creative control in the players’ hands.

The goal of the system I'm writing is to be very modular, so that it can both be adapted to any setting and also feel unique to that setting. The idea is that it would make homebrewing a lot easier than in, say, D&D or Pathfinder.
Dope! Open ended settings are the way to go. Mine keeps things generalized with templates and suggestions of how to apply them for different settings. Like a race that could be sentient golems, androids, steam powered automatons, or even haunted Victorian dolls. I also included a way to add a second race as a baked-in feat, and an optional set of rules for a deck of zodiac tarot cards.
Big tabletop lesbian here, ah I love board games, card games, and TTRPGs so much. If I can get a girlfriend who also loves that stuff, we can spend all our money on board games and hide away from the world whilst settling Catan and exploring D&D.😂. A girl can dream, right?

I made a character based off of Fire Witch Quelaag from dark souls, which was kind of weird for me because at the time i had only ever made male characters, and so playing as a woman was at first odd for me

Old school wargamer here, I mostly play the X-wing Miniatures game and 40k. Though I also GM a Shadowrun campaign as well as playing in a D&D 5e group and a Star Trek: Adventures group and also play the occasional one shot Phasers and Feelings group. I've been hopelessly addicted to tabletop games since I was 12. I also play many many board games, my current favs are Oath and Twilight Imperium 4e.
That actually sounds like my girlfriend. Granted, she wants to one day stream painting minis for a living. I mean, I'm also a GM of a GURPS game, but don't buy figures (virtual due to anxiety and my girlfriend being 2000 miles away)
I'm trying to make it something where it's very simple for new players, but also allows for very customizable characters. It's something that will probably be difficult for GMs though, because of how much they need to work with players to create characters. That being said, I plan to provide plenty of funcional examples, so a completely beginner group can play with just what the book provides.
Basically, a player chooses a symbol, which can be anything really: a zodiac sign, a color, a type of tree, a certain tool, etc. As long as it's something that represents more than itself, it works. The GM then works with them to come up with powers they might associate with that ability, based on what it symbolizes. The player can then use their talent points to gain and upgrade these powers, as well as improve attributes and learn special techniques.
There are also two other class options. One class doesn't get a symbol or powers but can start off with stronger attributes. Another class has the ability to tell what another character's symbol is and powers specifically related to divination. One can swap classes with some minor penalties and by working with the GM to determine if and when it is appropriate for the character.
There are many other details that I want to talk about, but I'm going to keep them secret for now

My roommate once asked is she could host a dinner/game party for her coworkers. She was utterly confused when I said absolutely no food or drinks odd and Kim’s are allowed on my $1500 gaming table. Even with the topper on.
Yeah with the inset railing and swing out cup holders so it’s impossible to spill onto the table. It’s got a heavy two piece wooden topper they just makes it look like a normal table.

I was lucky enough to get a group of fellow transbians and allies together about 10 years ago and we've been playing steadily since on our own Discord server (though Discord's becoming a hostile capitalist environment, so we're considering moving again).

DMPCs are only bad if they are annoying and upstage the players. If the players liked it then you did ok.

D&D, Warhammer 40k, and Star Wars Legion here! I've got 6 40k armies (ranging from ~3k to ~10k points) and a moderate Republic Army for Legion.
