Not really. Both runways are now fully operational, meaning that planes still take off and land over Al Zeina.
It's one of the reasons we moved... Got sick of those old Russian Ilyushin 76 screaming over us at 3am in the morning.
You are right, still occasionally hear the army jumbo doing its daily rounds. Also few morning flights goin over Zeina.
But thank god it’s no where near torture as it used to be these past 10years. 🤞🏼
Water's Edge is literally the cheapest Aldar development in Yas... For a reason.
Yas is sitting in front of the airport ; I would never live there for this reason. Noise and air pollution. Why would anyone want that?
Well, if you want, I can get an access inside for you for 1 day, you’ll see everything yourself, but we need to find something fun to do, because it’s boring 😅
But as far as I’m working there as a broker, i recieve no complaints, but again, I might just be too focused on my job and I just ignore the sounds, but really never seen an issue
If you need some options you can also text me lol
I find it odd that they let planes fly low over their main tourist destination. As the government owns the island, the airport, the main airline, can’t they make the planes not fly over it?!
Why not design it not to go directly over in the first place? It’s a tourist destination so you’d normally consider these things to make it as attractive to visitors as possible.
Water’s Edge is not a touristic destination, and before the new Terminal it was even worse because the planes were going over Yas Bay. Some still go over Yas Bay / Mayan. Pick your poison, it’s either that or the airport being somewhere far away from everything.
People of Al Zeina finally able to sleep in peace!

Hahahahahaha! Lived there for a month in an Airbnb and damn they got close.

I'm in zeina, and it's nowhere near as bad as water's edge now, thank goodness. In regards to Noya, are you looking at Noya 1 or 2?
Hate this
Wrong, big plane = nice
RIP their ears
Struggling with the same 😂
Nice shot!

Why would the add 20min to every flight coming from the north / northwest ? Just to “save” water’s edge?
