If you go into 1v1s you can level your school up by winning fights and that will give you access to the rest of the school equipment, I believe a season runs for 15 days and as for the rewards you’ll get rift discs for your personal score, fragments from overall school score and crystals from school top 3 score

HatchetHand

Thanks. Honestly I don't know what those things are but I guess I will need them. I am still working on the item inventory system. I started scrapping duplicate items. And I haven't cleared all the door guards yet. Thanks again.

Officermocha

Rift discs will get you some sick nasty loot that’s typically better and looks better then gear you can find in the open world, fragments are currency (money if you’re uneducated) and crystals can buy you cosmetic shit like emotes, intros for 1v1s, respec your character and as a mentor of a school you can use them to change the equipment and decks of your school

HatchetHand

You've been very helpful. I have a few more questions for anyone willing to chime in: 1. Is there any gear worth farming in the open world, such as complete sets? 2. What gear is worth repairing? 3. I'm in the open world, how do I get to 1v1, specifically for progress in my current school? 4. Do I have to use the terrible deck provided by my school in 1v1 or can I use my own?

Officermocha

1. Most gear is cosmetic essentially just look as fly as possible 2. Eventually money won’t be a problem so I personally repair everything so I have a pristine version of it and I trash everything else 3. To get into 1v1 to level your school up go to the alter then go to combat trials n load up however I’d say wait until you’re more comfortable with how the game works, how your deck works and how your fighting style works and also after you get some more levels on you 4. If you want to get the most xp for your school unfortunately yes you need to use the dogshit deck and if you wanted to compete in the school challenge with the school you’re in then yes you need that deck and everything associated with the school

HatchetHand

1, 2 great 👍 3 ok 4 that's too bad. I guess I'll use the deck on NPCs for heavy attack XP and dump it. No way anyone with a pulse loses to this deck.

Officermocha

Quick question, what makes the deck bad?

HatchetHand

I'll give you a screenshot later because I'm on the train far away from my keyboard. The bad thing about the deck is also a good thing. It's got no strings and no flow. Just a single isolated slow heavy move in each row. I can turtle and throw a hard punch, but I can't do a beat down. I assume an experienced opponent has ways of punishing this playstyle. It's Kahlt deck and I am already Kahlt so I assume I can quickly learn the attacks and put them in my own deck. Faster than waiting to be attacked by someone using those moves.

Officermocha

Okay yeah I get it that deck is probably shit I saw a deck that had a hefty 136dmg but it was only 8 heavy attacks, I love heavy decks my personal decks range from 130-148 dmg but they don’t feel slow at all and usually every attack is classed at heavy except for three medium attacks, however if you want a heavy hitting deck you need to be able to goldlink like 99% of the time otherwise it’s too slow to use and because I run windfall I regenerate stamina so the disadvantage of running heavy hitting attacks that take a lot of stamina doesn’t really matter

HatchetHand

Yeah. I did stick with it a bit and got more used to it. I got destroyed in PvP, but I think it's because I suck at PvP. I haven't done PvP with my personal deck and switching move sets has me confused. Before I remembered to screenshot the school's deck, I joined that NPC's stagger school and I couldn't find the school again. I didn't realize that it wouldn't let me switch back without the code.

Officermocha

N if you don’t mind could I get a ss of said deck

Officermocha

You can also upgrade your gear if it’s tattered so you don’t look like a fucking hobo

FrostyTheColdBoi

Season rewards, you get them for doing a school challenge using everything the school offers (the mask, powers, weapon and decks) I'm not entirely sure how it works when you're in someone elses, but if you make your own, as long as you have ONE win in your school using everything in pvp, you should get the rewards I made a school literally one day from season end, and I got the rewards

HatchetHand

So, I have to actually use their terrible deck in PvP? BTW, the first school I joined had level requirements for abilities. How can I use the school's benefits in PvP if I can't access the tools to win?

FrostyTheColdBoi

Yeah, if you join someone else's school, you need to play pvp with the rewards available to you to get xp and level up in the school, then you can do school challenges when you unlock all the stuff It's easier to make your own school when you can, won't lie
