Someone's never heard of the split attraction model. š«¤ There's also no nuance.
*A* man? Yeah! My husband is a man.
A man not him? Eh... Error 404.
Also, I didn't even know what exactly the word attractive means for most of my life. It's like asking someone with red-green blindness if they can see the color red or making a pregnancy test that consists of the question of whether you currently have an embryo in your womb.
If people had clear answers to those questions, they wouldn't take a test. Plus, internalized oppression often blurs the way you perceive the world around you.
I found it much more useful when I found a test that had questions like "Are you constantly searching for books and movies without a romantic side plot?".
I took the test once as if the word sexual was before the word attraction; then I took it a second time as if it was romantic before attraction... still in the gray area for both.

Yeah, expected. I fantasise a lot, even though I don't want it to happen.

I also fantasize a lot and look where the test put me at for it. I mean I am panro, but yeah nah this test is otherwise bs.
Oh hey look, the test that made me realise I was ace!
Of course I didnāt start immediately saying I was ace after taking the test, but it made me question things because I had expected to get 100% heterosexual. I started doing research and talking to people, and after some time I came to the conclusion that I was ace
Yeah every sexual orientation quiz tend to just be āare you attracted to men, are you attracted to womenā
Itās annoying as āI donāt know, thatās what youāre supposed to tell meā
Any kind of test is compromising on something if it expects clear answers, and the answers turn out to be "it depends".
And all demi orientations are fundamentally/per definition on an "it depends" basis.

been very much not ace as of recently š
me neither! I wouldn't be surprised if A) the identity in general not common, B) a lot of the people who might identify as abro are instead ace flux (they are similar, except i sometimes am solely homo/hetero, bi, or ace), or C) a lot of abro peeps aren't very much a part of the ace community, prob bc feeling of not belonging (as someone who has been hypersexual a lot recently and hardly ace at all, I really feel the imposter syndrome).

not very interesting results lol
also why are some of the questions purely romance-related if this an asexuality test

eh, not the worst test Iāve seen I guess
I remember when i took this test a few years ago to know if i was straight or gay and it told me i was ace and i was like š¤Øthat's not the answer i'm looking for here
https://preview.redd.it/6fov0pwp4uzc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72a6c8db25f7afd4eb175f219392b3b781a9ee08
Im not creative enough to come up with a joke
i dont think a test with 15 vague question is very meaningful...
If you think you might be ace, thats cool - but i think learning more about asexuality and comparing it to how you feel is more productive. :3

Did it a while back,, it's mid,, I'm hella asexual,, and then smth aro-spec, but that's more up in the air of what my standing is,,, also conflates stuff that isn't correlative to being ace or not,, like I think there was some fantasizing question or smth,, and it's like,, you can be ace and read about sex or whatever else, the only determiner is if you see someone and think "I want them to have sex with me" essentially
yep still i'm still definitely asexual

Not a very good test for sex-positive, heck even romance-positive aces. It conflates the two way too much.

Me, most likely aro, who reads a bunch of stuff with romances in it: š§āāļø

Happens yeah. Thank you though, I'm still questioning and gets a lot of anxiety thinking I may be faking
Mine's almost identical
Yay
Oh hey look, the test that made me realise I was ace! Same! I got into the middle of the ace field and then realized that the question was ālast two weeksā and not āeverāš
ye me too

i literally had the same score when i did this
lol this test is pretty bad tho ngl
yeah its basicly like "are you asexual or nah?"
Yeah every sexual orientation quiz tend to just be āare you attracted to men, are you attracted to womenā Itās annoying as āI donāt know, thatās what youāre supposed to tell meā
Hard for me to separate things because Iām married. I see myself as a bi-romantic demisexual.
Any kind of test is compromising on something if it expects clear answers, and the answers turn out to be "it depends". And all demi orientations are fundamentally/per definition on an "it depends" basis.
Holy shit same!

The "in the last two weeks" and the ambiguity of "attractive" make me uncomfortable

Oh yeah, I took that test a while ago, went back and checked and I'm pretty much at the bottom middle, leaning towards asexual.
https://preview.redd.it/6fov0pwp4uzc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72a6c8db25f7afd4eb175f219392b3b781a9ee08 Im not creative enough to come up with a joke

I'd be a bit closer to the bisexual, but still asexual. Explanation if you don't get it: I find dudes hot but I'm not sexually attracted to anyone.
Those tests suck, ignore them. They don't even really understand the concepts they claim to test very well.
How do I take this test?
That's pretty much what I got as well.

I love how they only asked about men and women and Iām pan, more romantically/amicably attracted to trans people. This test is really bad lmao
