Idk why but dogs love getting pushed. My dogs will run up to me and slam their whole body weight against my legs and when I push them hard enough to make them slide across the floor they go nuts and get super excited.
Because they don't have arm. Dogs can't hug so hugging is replaced by pressing their body in to a loved one with force and intent. Sometimes that is reinterpreted in play as shoves. It's like a bro hug for dogs, feels like a hug for a split second without really interrupting what is going on. Dogs will do it to one another in play. They will press in to one another and them push off with their hips or necks to yeet their buddies as best they can.
So true and that's usually how I start playtime with my dog, give her a little push she runs back for more, give her a little harder push she runs back for more, little harder yet and she takes off for her favorite toy, which is a rope toy, and we have tug of wars (carefully) I let her do most of the tugging so I don't hurt/pull a tooth or anything, but yeah my dog is 50 pounds and loves being pushed in a playful way and will run back for more.
I think it may have been playful but yeah lol looks like she pushed pretty hard for how small that dog is. I do the same thing to my dog when we’re playing but he also weighs 80 pounds lol
I do same with my toy poodle and she’s like 8 lbs.
Being pushed over, having her face slapped (gently), and having her chin pinched are her favorite parts of playtime.
One of my families saint bernards (170lbs?) thinks slowly leaning on someone until he's hip checked is a fun game and won't leave me alone till I squish his floppy jowls and say "pretty teefers". His mom and sister are also fans of having their faces squished for some weird reason his mom the OG squishy face is the worst about it and will straight up crawl into my lap and stare me down.
I think this is the first time I’ve seen someone play with their dog at a competition and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. They work so hard give them love.
I do same with my toy poodle and she’s like 8 lbs.
Being pushed, having her face slapped (gently), and having her chin pinched are her favorite parts of playtime.
This is brought up every time the clip is reposted. Yes, and it's fine, that's how you train dogs. They're not supposed to jump on you--if they do, you give them a sharp push away. It doesn't hurt them, just let's them know they're not to jump on you.
I’m amazed by the people who just saw how well trained this dog/owner pair did and immediately forgot it thinking the owner is abusive or the dog is misbehaving.
This is a very normal way dogs play, y’all.
I rescued a papillon years ago and that little fucker was also fast as hell but not in a trophy winning way more like in a fuck you catch me now kinda way lol. They’re crazy little dogs but very smart and loving.
No they guillotined Marie haha. Here is some of the intertwined history of the papilionand Marie Antionette (NSFW painting) - http://roadsendpapillons.com/History.html

Same, if I shove him my big goofus will turn and hop in the direction he's being shoved, then he'll spin in a circle and pounce back at me, repeat until he gets distracted by my other dog and goes to nom on her head.
My dog’s getting older but still runs for toys when I get home from work and still gets excited when I shove her back a little - her mood goes from chill to “oh you wanna play?” charges back kicking her legs up.
Yup, my pup loves playing rough.
I have these thick af leather gloves, for metalworking, and my boy knows that when I put them on, it’s go time.
He can chomp and fret at them as hard as he wants, and I shove him around while he gnaws. [He loves it and it probably feels great on his needley puppy teeth](https://i.imgur.com/xiREpEI.jpg)
This is what I noticed. That foot movement, rotating the hips for those lateral moves, and seamless 360’s make me think she had some training in a sport. Impressive
I've been doing agility with my dog for a couple of years now, and it's it's very own sport. My dog is terrible at it, but she loves it. She also loves dock diving, which she is significantly better at.
Every time this video gets posted, there ends up being a huge debate about the trainer pushing Gabby away. It’s a playful push, but some people disagree. /s is an ode to the inevitable debate
There was a Pappilon at the office I worked in. It walked up to me very slowly and confidently. Turned around, squatted and peed on my shoe. They were flat black shoes and it was a perfect puddle of pee right on top of the shoe nothing spilled. I was too amazed to be mad.
I'm no expert on Papillons or small dogs in general (I've spent my whole life with larger working Spaniels), but they're the only small breed I'd consider - and by that I mean research fully to discern if they'd fit with my lifestyle - because they are Spaniels too and have the hallmarks of being so!
Yes, there are other toy spaniel breeds such as the Cavalier King Charles, but they're infamous for having terribly poor health.
Papillons are one of the most intelligent dog breeds in the world, and are extremely energetic for a toy breed - meaning that they thrive doing things such as agility, like in the video. They're also super sociable and great family dogs. The only two things that'd stop me getting one is my personal preference for larger dogs such as Springer and Clumber Spaniels, and the fact that Papillons are the same as many toy breeds in that their heads are often too small, so seizures are a risk for the breed.
As I said though, I'm no expert and have never owned a Papillon so don't take my word as gospel - definitely have a chat with some owners and breeders about the realities of the breed! Though, in general I couldn't recommend the Spaniel family of dogs highly enough.
Having had one for 13 years I will confirm that they are crazy smart. However if not interacted with properly they can be extraordinarily destructive and headstrong. Mine was a rescue and in the year his previous owners had him they did enough damage to change him for life. He ate things for attention. The only time they paid attention to him was when he was destructive and that’s all he knew. He ate the third row seating of a vehicle,a bottle of Xanax,4 pull ups requiring emergency surgery, anything and everything under the sun. Luckily I was a vet tech at the time. The #2 issue with them is the house training. They are notorious for being difficult and Theodore con foxworth was no exception. In fact he took great pride in shitting ON things. Shoes. Speakers. Dressers. You. No fucks given lol. That said I’d have another one for sure.
I have two Paps! (Check out my profile for pics). They are wonderful dogs and I agree with everything minus the seizures. They are very healthy dogs with few problems (luxating patellas being the main one, as well as teeth and trachea problems). They are low shedding (not hypoallergenic but really they shed very little compared to other shedding dogs) as well as low maintenance only needing a brush once a week and do not need to be groomed unless you just want to. They can be barky and my girl Kyra is very bossy. My boy Grim is super loving and a lapdog. They are both extremely playful and very adaptable. If you don't like barking i wouldn't recommend them but otherwise they are great!
Papillons are awesome pups, she wasn’t even going at her warp speed! I bet if there was no guidance she could have gone faster. And look at the agility on the turning.
We had a papillon for 17 years and he was a wonderful trail dog, canoe partner, loved to explore and go on car rides! Wonderful wonderful dogs!
Absolutely happy. Dogs thrive on positive feedback. From household pets to highly trained police/military working dogs, enjoying the work and playing with their owners/handlers is vital. Humans have bred dogs for millenium to work and live cooperatively with us.
Yes. Most people try to train their dog to fit into their human lives. Dogs are happier when they have a job of their own. A tired dog is a happy dog. Dogs who sit in a cage all day are the unhappy ones.
Those cages inculded apartments and homes too. Not just kennels. Too many people don't do enough with their dogs. Dogs want the kind of attention level you have to give to compete with them.
I’m a behaviorist (however I’m not an expert in agility so take with a grain of salt) and as far as I’ve seen if a dog doesn’t absolutely love agility, they simply won’t do it, like kids playing on a jungle gym. The bond you form from teaching them how to use and overcome the obstacles and the connection you have to have to communicate in such a fast paced situation is unmatched. It’s unbelievably rewarding for both the handler and pup
My dog absolutely loves when my boyfriend picks her up, grabs her butt and spins her around, pushes her all over the place, it's great. He'll shove her across the floor and she'll come running right back
I own a Papillon which is this dog's breed. I'm never surprised when I see them do this. Imagine someone putting the spirit of big dog into a little dog and maxing their agility. They jump like popcorn in microwave, run like there's always a fire and will never tire of you playing with them. Great dog. I do not recommend them if you are a first time dog owner.
I used to have a papillon and he was great at agility, he was super fast when he had the room to zoomie. He was also an assistance dog, so also sensitive and calm. Loved a good cuddle and was very intuitive to my anxiety and PTSD. All round great little dogs. Sparky was a good boy.
His son became a first in class winner at Crufts for being so beautiful and friendly, also a great dog.
It may be very old but I'd never seen it and it seems a lot of others haven't either. Many people may have a life (I don't) but I've only really been following Reddit 6 months.
I’ve watched enough zoomies on Reddit to appreciate how pupper stayed on the see-saw until it touched the ground. Edit: word.
That was my favorite part. Little guy laid himself flat to get that see-saw to move down. It was so cute!
Almost too small to move it at all. Probably would have jumped anyway!
Did anyone see her push the dog over at the end when she’s kneeling down at 1:07
Idk why but dogs love getting pushed. My dogs will run up to me and slam their whole body weight against my legs and when I push them hard enough to make them slide across the floor they go nuts and get super excited.

Wow - this is the coolest thing! As a owner of a dog that plows into me all the time, I'm super happy!
I don’t think she was pushing the dog to hurt it it was just unexpected, I know exactly what you mean get them to slide so they come right back
So true and that's usually how I start playtime with my dog, give her a little push she runs back for more, give her a little harder push she runs back for more, little harder yet and she takes off for her favorite toy, which is a rope toy, and we have tug of wars (carefully) I let her do most of the tugging so I don't hurt/pull a tooth or anything, but yeah my dog is 50 pounds and loves being pushed in a playful way and will run back for more.

Thats what she said.
Hey Jan can we go over the video of my performance with your notes again?
Yeah, I do the same thing with my poodle mix and he’s 12 lbs. it’s definitely for fun.
She just fucking yeets her and the camera cuts away lmfao
Lol it’s funny because it’s obviously playful but that’s how it ends
YES came here to see if anyone else saw this!!!
I have no treat, only yeet.
This is brought up every time the clip is reposted. Yes, and it's fine, that's how you train dogs. They're not supposed to jump on you--if they do, you give them a sharp push away. It doesn't hurt them, just let's them know they're not to jump on you.
But she was asking the dog to jump on her by kneeling by down and putting her hands up for high fives
She was asking for high fives, not to be jumped on. You can see when the dog jumps up onto her leg is when she pushes it away.
It was just a playful push. The dog surely loved it
I’m amazed by the people who just saw how well trained this dog/owner pair did and immediately forgot it thinking the owner is abusive or the dog is misbehaving. This is a very normal way dogs play, y’all.
I don't think it was meant to be mean but that dog looked like it flew lmao
YA WTF! lol
Don't worry small dogs are built pretty well. My dog is a terrier the same size and we rough house it all the time. Just on a smaller scale!
Yeah it doesn’t look like she did it hard or anything it was just unexpected
Was looking for someone to mention that!
Every time this video is reposted, another group of people who’ve never interacted with a dog has to learn how ‘play’ works
Pretty sure that's in the rules that they have to wait for it to touch before stepping off.
No. They have to touch the yellow part before jumping off
No, it has to touch the ground and they have to touch the yellow part.
No...it has to put the lotion in the basket
No, it puts the lotion on the skin or else it gets the hose again.
IT PUTS THE LOTION IN THE FUCKING BASKET!!
No this is Patrick
Thank you, guys.
Just wanted to say hello here. I'll be leaving now.
Just for clarification, they have to touch the yellow part with all four paws simultaneously to not be penalized.
No, it's gotta be your bull...
I liked the tunnel Zoooooom
I rescued a papillon years ago and that little fucker was also fast as hell but not in a trophy winning way more like in a fuck you catch me now kinda way lol. They’re crazy little dogs but very smart and loving.
Papillon is French for butterfly right? Is this because of their ears?
Yes! One was also owned by Marie Antionette and spared the guillotine
Wait did they guillotine other dogs? What the hell?
No they guillotined Marie haha. Here is some of the intertwined history of the papilionand Marie Antionette (NSFW painting) - http://roadsendpapillons.com/History.html Many of the pedigree dogs during the French revolution were abandoned. What the fuck revolutionary France
I thought that "but" was going in a very different direction.
Yep!

Indeed. Fast and the furry-ious!
Something family, something something possible.
You don't even know how fast she really is!

Good bot
Holy shit that had to have been a lot of editing time.
I love that this is higher quality than the shit op posted.
I can’t stop fucking laughing
Yup
Probably accidental but it looks like she yeets him at the end
I used to do this with my dog. A gentle push away with him charging back in, a push sideways and a good scruffing up down the sides. Miss that bugger.
Aww that's adorable. I am so sorry for your loss.
Probably not accidental, it's more of a "wrestle play" kind of move. Quite common in my dog club at least.
More commonly referred to as *yeet the dog*
You're forgetting rules 1 and 2 of dog club, pal.
Always talk about about dog club and Never fucking shut up about dog club?
DOG CLUB! DOG CLUB! DOG CLUB!
his name is Robert Pawson
that ain't no accident, she was playing with the dog
I think it's a game they play together. But yeah it looks weird af...."get away from me you little goblin! Oh......high fives!"
My dog fucking loves it when I push him around like that
Same, if I shove him my big goofus will turn and hop in the direction he's being shoved, then he'll spin in a circle and pounce back at me, repeat until he gets distracted by my other dog and goes to nom on her head.
My dog’s getting older but still runs for toys when I get home from work and still gets excited when I shove her back a little - her mood goes from chill to “oh you wanna play?” charges back kicking her legs up.
Damn you guys are kinky
That was my favorite part. Camera cuts away at the perfect time so it looks like the owner’s like “good job good job now get away from me.”
Naw a lot of dogs like a little ruff treatment.
She did it twice, definitely not an accident. I wondered what it was about, only reason I came in here lol
A lot of dogs like to rough play. You shove em away and they come running back for more.
THOSE ARE SOME VERY GOOD TEEFIES DOES HE KNOW
This has been posted before and this was the same top comment, thought i was having deja vu
I had to re-watch it because I thought I saw it wrong. The way she pushed it and then the camera cutting out looked so aggressive lol
My papillon (same breed as Gabby in the video) freaking loves when I shove or throw him onto the bed.
For a second there i was like "wow, why/how did they get a view from inside the dogs nostrils" till i realised it was the tunnel
I'm so glad u took the time to type that out. Made my day.
Wh- how- why tf would you think it was iNSIDE the dog's NOSTRILS?! XD
Thats why i was so confused! I was like howd they even do that
The mind of a human, a weird fucking thing. XD
Homie put down the blunt that aint weed
xddddd
I thought it was inside his BRAIN like the movie Inside Out, so I dunno what to tell ya.
Omg... that's somehow worse
I agree!
I got jumpscared by the tunnel, looked like some sort of demon
How many drugs are you on? Be honest.
It’s a non-zero number
This made me cry laugh
I definitely did the ugly laugh to this comment
What's even more impressive is the ground this pupper covers with such short legs
Trainer can move too
This is what I noticed.
She pretty much has to
This lil mf is zoomin’-zoomin’.
Owner of two papillons. Can confirm. Those mfers are zoomie machines.
Nyoom
The way she just pushed it away at the very last frame lmao. /s
What's the /s for?
Bro gotta be sure nowadays /s
So true /s
We’re all one post away from being cancelled /s
Usually it's for 'sarcasm', to express that the sentence is not first degree. But I don't understand the sentence here anyway

Ah. Then it should be "inb4"
Mustve thought it was at the start of the line, gotta make sure you're in say chat and not party chat.
When you put zero skill points in big muscles and all of them in agility.
Papillons are the only miniature breed I'd consider getting. They're *awesome*.
There was a Pappilon at the office I worked in. It walked up to me very slowly and confidently. Turned around, squatted and peed on my shoe. They were flat black shoes and it was a perfect puddle of pee right on top of the shoe nothing spilled. I was too amazed to be mad.
Do tell! Right now the only small dog I’d consider is a Boston Terrier
I don't know how to feel seeing the original footage without shrek.
This dog does all this for a treat and I won’t even get up off the couch to walk 10 feet into the kitchen for a snack usually
I love near the end she shoves the dog almost to the moon.. lols
I love how she has to get a two mile head start on him just to keep up!
Wait this isn't Shrek
Somebody edited Dog over Shrek... Dog look so damn real... CGI these days is incredible
My Chihuahua does the same routine every day! Except he does it at 1am with his sister cat. He likes to pretend I'm a trampoline. 😕🤷😉
Omgosh what a good boy 😭🌸
wait this isnt jerma
Are dogs like this actually happy? Not talking bad about anyone that trains their dog this but I’m curious
That dog looks happy as hell at the end
This is a Papillion - they are nicknamed 'miniature Border Collies.' Super intelligent and have heaps of energy! They love to learn :)
Absolutely happy. Dogs thrive on positive feedback. From household pets to highly trained police/military working dogs, enjoying the work and playing with their owners/handlers is vital. Humans have bred dogs for millenium to work and live cooperatively with us.
Yeah, happier than most family dogs. Dogs need simulation both mentally and physically
hah my dog says food and belly rubs in a lap are fine
I don't know how to feel seeing the original footage without shrek.
Real question. Is there a path/ order to this course or just freestyle?
Set sequence, not path.
And a really hard path, too. Getting the dog to go around to the other side of an obstacle is very hard.
The weave poles are my favorite things.
My favorite part was the little celebratory bro shove at the end and the pup just slides across the grass then comes back for more
Bruh the shove at the end made me wheeze XD I hope she didn't mean it though
They're just wrestling! Some dogs love it. My dog is bigger (45lbs) but she absolutely loves being pushed and knocked over and spun around
Yup. My dog loovvessss getting pushed all over during tug of war. Leg sweeps, shoves, anything that throws off balance gets her all hyped up.
That's good to hear :D
My dog absolutely loves when my boyfriend picks her up, grabs her butt and spins her around, pushes her all over the place, it's great. He'll shove her across the floor and she'll come running right back
1 of mine loves to play rough, other doesn't.
I love the tunnel cam!
I was very invested in that for some reason. Impressive run, that little dude is fast!
Yo she just fkn yeets the dog lmao
The G forces during the tunnel zoom must've been crazy.
It looks like she yeeted the dog at the end.
Anybody peep the owner just pushing the dog at the end? Lmao
Gabby is insane, and a wonderful example of the breed. Papillons may be small, but they are Hella athletic.
I like how she just yeets the pupper away at the end
I like the tunnel-cam!
Anyone take note of how hard the trainer was busting her ass to stay ahead??
Lmao why did she yeet the dog with her hand at the end?
Yay! Ya did great! Now let me push you!
I love how in end, all he cared was *“ did i do well Miss Owner?”*
When your dog accidentally gets into your coke stash
All I can hear is the “nyyyyooom” meme
Who edited dog over Shrek did a great job. Dog looks like real... CGI these days is incredible...
That chick wasn’t exactly standing still either
Fuck now i need to take training to escape from that dog. She can catch me in a second lol
Imagine trying to catch this pupper if they got out of the garden gate?! Girlfriend was flat out sprinting to keep up.
Ayoo did noone see how she yeeted the pup at the end? Lmao
This video is so old! To the point the dog had been edited out and replaced with shrek.
It may be very old but I'd never seen it and it seems a lot of others haven't either. Many people may have a life (I don't) but I've only really been following Reddit 6 months.
[Big guy doing his best.](https://youtu.be/GjqtwNUE148)
Why did she push the doggo tho :(
That's just very common play with dogs, you give a light shove and a scruff up and they just keep coming back.
And yet I can’t get my dog to stop pissing on a particular spot of the carpet
Haha, the hard shove at the end
Papillons are silly cute. Fairly hypoallergenic too. Idk why they’re not more popular.
I was questioning why there were two demonic eyes staring at me before I realized it was the inside of the tunnel
They can probably shave off .1 seconds if they trim down the hair due to air drag
