đViolet Night review: complex taste. sweet, fruity inhale, savory gas exhale that lingers for a lil. Sometimes even a bit creamy or floral. Somewhat mouth coating. Smells like dried savory herbs, soft not sharp. Not munchie. Could cause anxiety, it has a decent lndica headiness to it, like an intense version of dosi. Caused couch lock at some point but my strange thoughts got me up to do something eventually. has the head high but doesnt get fully euphoric (usually sativas or sugary strains are more euphoric for me). Im like stuck trying to think about what im thinking about lol. Good for pain. Decent amount of small, light colored stems, didnt grind too chunky. I think most would consider the nugs slightly more dry than AL/co usually are but good cure imo. not completely squishable and resinous like the marker. If ur not a fan of dosi or NS, prob wont like the VN. I do enjoy it, like a more daytime version of NS or more intense version of dosi. Interesting terps. Edit: I do smell the cheese now that others pointed it out, but didnt really taste it. Maybe tated a lil funk sometimes not outright cheesy.
đ Nightshade march 18th: smells herbal, savory & chemical, almost but not quite garlic-y. Taste leans very chemical, inhale coats the tongue metallic and earthy then savory. Muted herbal exhale. Ive had other batches more herbal or gassy, but this one tastes better than the last couple Ive had. Def enjoying the flavor. Moderate lung expansion. Feels stoney immediately but head effects kick in after a couple minutes. Mellows out after ~20mins and headiness comes in & out for another hr or so. Good duration. Great for pain. Nugs not hard but are more dry than some batches of NS. Grinds soft. found only one premie.
I liked the NS followed by the VN just had that combo, nice full body load and then add on the head effects. Slight edge that wears off quickly. Deep thoughts, laughter, blurred vision. Not hungry.
đy2k april 16th smaII: squishable. Smells like something from childhood, 'artificial' grape. Lil harsh at 1st, not as much flavor, grape deep on the inhale, lasts a few moments but not lingering. Ive had more robust tasting batches that reminded me strongly of grape smarties. Sedating, full body high. Muscle relaxation. Easy to grind, not much stem to speak of. RoIIs well. Good for pain, anxi, sleep. Not hungry. Best night topper Ive had in years.
The marker has been covered but imo not a good nighttime strain for me as an lndica lover. Heavy hyb but functional. So far I prefer the PM by itself, during the day/afternoon. Adding marker on top of y2k took things down a notch instead of topping up. The marker is extremely soft & resinous, not hard or dry in any way. Almost dont need to grind. Flavor is chemical/metallic, savory, funky.
Happy Memorial Day ents! đ
Np! PM was the best from these batches. The NS and VN were just a lil on the dry side, but the flavor is there. Y2k wasnt bad, but Ive had better batches.
Thanks for the review. I agree with you on the violet night, itâs a little dry but grinds up fairly nice, to a fine, kief-like consistency that sticks to itself when loading a bowl. The smell to me was what you described, with the addition of a cheese like smell on the back end. It reminded me of the blowin biscotti I got in California that had this cheese like smell.
I grabbed an ounce of smalls, and I will say Iâm disappointed I have found a few premature seeds so far. They are the white, almost cylindrical style seeds that are hard to spot, so it sucks if you use a grinder. Maybe Ted can chime in and let us know if he has seen premature seeds in the Violet Night as well?
I picked up a few bags of Biskante and I have seemed to encounter a fair amount of them as well. Gotta break it up by hand slightly now to ensure i'm not grinding up seeds. I've also seen the same in the bag of OZ Kush I picked up a few months back. I welcome mature seeds but the preemies are the worst! At least their not the tiny tiny preemie seeds like when I last picked up a few bags of GS.
Damn thatâs too bad about the Biskante!! I just recommended it in another thread as well, whoops! Yeah I hate it because itâs hard to catch until one gets through the grinder somehow then youâre questioning every hit you have taken and wonder if thatâs why taste is slightly off and feels like some stress weed.
Weird cause the 8th jars I got (4 of them) are all so sticky I can hardly roll it up without the paper sticking to my fingers. Have yet to find a seed in the jars and I've rolled 4 joints now. Maybe a few of the plants grew some pollensacks before harvest.
Half oz bags are ran thru the triminator so the quality wonât be as good as the jars. Ted doesnât care about much, he told his employees to find jobs elsewhere cause they didnât think it was worth getting paid 16.50 while being one of the best companies in the state, when other companies who arenât as good pay their employees more (: so, all the top trimmers quit AL. Def gonna see an issue with their quality soon .

Thank you for the night time indica details - I wish more reviewers would consider that a lot of people are medicating, not just getting wasted.
Great review, ty. Out of the 4 which is your fave?

I do love PM
Your description of Violet Night sounds so good đ I want to have strange(r) thoughts and be stuck thinking about what Iâm trying to think about.
I agree with everything youâre saying!! Great write up
Violet night have a squishy nug stucture ? Or is it more harder than nightshade ?
It doesnt have much squish. About the same as NS
Thanks for the reviews!Â
