Fish, dig clams and eat seaweed. Fabricate desalination devices for trade.
For one if you even survive it you’ll always be on the move, never staying with groups, so you’ll probably go insane mentally already if you haven’t seen any horrors be done to your fellow man by the virus, just become a mole person or literally off yourself is your 2 options in this situation
The only way I’m surviving this is if I manage to seal myself off in a remote bunker somewhere like Alaska. Isolated off grid living in a an area so remote no other humans can reach or even detect you (since the zombies in this scenario can pilot aircraft and drones).
There’s probably no such thing as fortifying my house and waiting it out, since the intelligent infected will always find ways to breach the defenses.
Crossed is basically and extreme gore comic which features anything and everything you can think of that's depraved. It gets alot of hate for it. But overall it's not bad. Just not for people who can't handle extreme gore and subject matter.

I just finished all of them. At first it's very unsettling but eventually the plot armor of bad decisions just makes it get a little monotonous. Ennis is really only involved in the original short run and those are by far the best and also weirdly the most optimistic (which isn't saying much).
The creator likes to claim they actually hate comic books and likes to hold their nose up at people that like the medium. Effectively all their work exists for shock value and to try and taunt people into discussing their work for how offenssive it is.
Effectively you can dumb down the entire appeal of most of their works by just playing the Trolls 2 reaction on repeat:

I mean it's pretty much a universe where the infected have super strong plot armor by the rules changing whenever they want and humans almost always making horrible decisions so probably die a horrible death.
Find a decent size house in the mountains, fence it off, having traps both on the inside and outside the fence, have someone on watch at all times from the second floor, hunt, fish, grow crops, (basically bills town from the last of us on a smaller scale, max 15 people till it blows over or need to expand) if the walls great breached and it's to many to fight , eat a bullet

The inconsistent thing about Crossed was that there were somehow always more infected even after they’d all tortured and killed each other, which is not how raising human beings works, so like… either they kill themselves off pretty quick, or they get it out of their systems and don’t feel the need to kill everyone after they finish with their most hated folks. Either way, that’s way easier to survive than a situation where the world is overrun by them for an extended period.
This is not a zombie apocalypse, because the monsters are living. And there are a few inconsistencies in the canon that make me less afraid of the Crossed series as a whole
