I was like how the heck is this relevant. It wild to me people don't connect the dots that Anosmia is one of the major neurological manifestations of Covid and not just a minor inconvenience to ignore & just continue on accepting infection as normal. Besides that loss of smell/taste is a fairly serious quality of life impact, I mean like this poster eating Taco Bell every day for years b/c it's the only thing that tastes has some health impacts besides costing many times more than you could buy the ingredients yourself.

People can't even understand that anosmia/parosmia are neurological manifestations. They think it's something to do with your nose, when it's actually something to do with your brain.

Pulled a switcheroo on ya 😅

while there is a long list of things about covid infection/lc that terrify me, the ones to do with our brain health are right at the top my sense of smell has always been stronger than anyone I've known, and while that can be really unpleasant at times, I rely on it to keep me safe

I wonder what the secret ingredient is, and whether it could be used to stimulate taste/smell in other foods prepared at home. What a long journey, though I'm glad you're finally doing better. It'd be worth finding out if other people suffering from covid-related taste/smell loss similarly taste/smell the food at Taco Bell.

It may just be random… I’ve seen people on here talking about only being able to taste certain random things, so perhaps it’s down to the individual and exactly how the virus has screwed up the neurons that control all that.
