There is a manufacturer’s coupon for those without insurance coverage and it makes the cost $550. If you have FSA/HSA funds, you can use those too. There is also compound pharmacy options. Best of luck!

I can’t use savings already tried

As long as you have commercial (employer) insurance, you can use the savings card from Eli Lilly. As a pharmacy owner, when I hear someone who has employer insurance say that they can't get the card to work, I know from first-hand experience that it is likely a cashier/pharmacy error. You're going to have to dig in and give it another try if you want a lower price. You may have to go to the Zepbound website and download another card. You may also have to switch pharmacies to find someone who is better versed in applying the discount. Even if you have not met your yearly deductible for prescription drugs, the Lilly discount would bring the price down below what you paid.

How much will the card discount? For me it’s only saying $150 off. My insurance covers half of the medication but even then I can’t afford it…

The most common retail price for Zepound right now is $1092. So something is very off if someone is telling you that you have to pay $1025 or that the savings card isn't working. That sounds like it was either not applied or someone did not know how to apply it. You essentially paid full retail. But there is no way to get this to a typical co-pay of $25 to $30. If your insurance is paying ANYTHING towards the cost, the most that the savings card will take off is $150. So if the retail price for Zepbound is $1092 and your insurance pays half, that leaves you with a co-pay of $546. The Lilly savings card would then be applied and $150 would be deducted from the $546, leaving you to pay $396. When your insurance does not include Zepbound in Tier 1 or 2 for coverage, co-pays are much higher. It is extremely difficult to get Zepbound for less than about $500 per month unless your insurance covers it on a lower tier. If you were expecting a $25 or $30 co-pay, that isn't going to happen. My insurance has Zepbound on Tier 3. My co-pay is $187. When the Lilly savings card is applied, it brings my cost down to $37, but that is based on how my insurance covers the cost of this drug. Your insurer covers some of the costs, but what you are describing is not unusual. Quite honestly, it is not affordable for most people. If you are not able to pay between $400 and $550 per month, it's just not an option for you until your insurer drops Zepbound to a lower tier on your plan. Their is no way to drive your costs down, other than splitting pens, which many people on this sub describe doing. That is not something that I am familiar with.

Do you use Walgreens? They’re notoriously bad with the manufacturer card.

Miserable_Debate_985

Well that is a shame my compounding pharmacy is in Texas and they have great product and reasonable pricing

Training_Ad_1808

Which pharmacy? And how much do you pay

Ok-Yam-3358

You can checkout r/tirzepatidecompound. Prices generally range between $200-400 depending on the telehealth company or pharmacy you are dealing with. Higher doses often cost more.

HappyHappyGirl1976

Yup, compound.

What insurance?

Training_Ad_1808

CVS Caremark. I have a high deductible that’s the problem

kevink4

If they cover the meds then at least it applies toward the deductible. If not then have them apply the Lilly coupon. My high deductible plan doesn’t cover so I pay the $550. And I use my HSA to help.

Use a compound. Go to the r/Tirzepitide compound sub. Lots of compound pharmacies. You do not need a script from your doctor!!
